The City Pool

I love going to the pool especially when the temps. hit 104 even though I can't really swim. Nothing beats a good tan and just relaxing in the water.Getting to my point most folk there are courteous and once in awhile they need an extra person to play catch. However then there are the bad people who love to block your sun, steal your towel/sit a soiled kid on your towel/stuff(haven't had that happen yet however I came close),and then there are the ones that think they need to fight& use bad language. I forgot about the old hags that think they still have it but lost it 20-30 years ago or never had it all. Oh well at least there wasn't any speedos in the area but there were the dreaded one piece swim dresses. I wonder what is there at your local public pools?

Do public lakes or beaches count in the discussion? I've seen some of the same problems when I go swimming at a local lake. I prefer that to chlorinated water, because I enjoy opening my eyes while swimming but hate goggles.

I peed in your pool ;)

I forgot about those type of people. suprisingly they banned diapers at the local pool, At the previous pool the managers used to allow them.

I live in an apartment complex, and we have a pool. No one does stupid stuff because the managers office is right by the pool. I love it. It makes it easier to.swim longer only having to take an elevator ride down to the Pool

The last public pool I went to was very nice. They had a biiiig slide and two small pools for the younger kids. That didn't stop them from coming into the big one, though. XD

Really don't go to public pools anymore just when our church rents it for one night. I don't like the bad language that some people use around my boys. We don't speak that way. Some people are rude also .

This discussion reminds me of this:

As for myself, I prefer oceans and pools to lakes.
I like in-ground pools because they're usually bigger and you don't have to worry about hanging on the side.
I've never done much swimming in public pools aside from water parks or hotel pools.

@ Stardragon - I don't know. That's not my department O:-)

So, wait, you're offended when certain people wear speedos and bikinis, but then also offended when they try to cover that up with a dress...?

I live in an apartment so the complex has a pool and there's a hot tub too in the corner. I have not been to a city pool in years.
I can't swim myself, but I have a noodle I use to swim around, even in the deep end. I love to go in the water.

Guys in speedos yes. Girls in bikinis no but only if they fit well. Swim dresses are just scary.
