Dalea nodded slowly. She still wasn't really comfortable. She'd rather go back to the little pool she was in before. Not that the 'whales' weren't amazing to watch....she just didn't trust that glass.

Jasper gestured to the door that would take them back inside.

"Come on," he said. "The petting tank has a lot less water."

Dalea nodded and went for the door. She tried not to rush, but moved as quickly as she could without seeming like she was. When she opened the door, she smiled brightly.

Jasper followed her long enough to make sure she got back to the petting tank okay, and then went back out to the larger tanks. The sea lions needed some attention, and there was only one person on the staff who knew his secret, so he needed to go find that person before he went to 'play' with the sea lions.

Dalea spend the rest of the day at the tank. Helping the cute little kids pet the animals.

At the end of the day, Jasper went to find Dalea again.

"Did you have fun?" he asked when he found her at the petting tank.

Dalea smiled as she saw him. "Yes, I did actually." She'd just finished and was about to go change back into her other clothes.

"That's good," Jasper replied. "Think you could do that as a job?"

Dalea thought for a moment, then nodded. "I could. It was fun."

Jasper grinned.

"Good," he said. "Because I had a talk with the guy in charge, and he agreed to let you stay. Part-time, to start with, but it's better than nothing, right?"

Dalea blinked at him, then her eyes lit up. "Really?!" She hugged him and smiled.

Jasper was surprised at the hug, but grinned back.

"No problem," he said.

Dalea quickly let go and took a step back. She was embarrassed because she hadn't known if he would mind a hug or not. She wasn't used to living around humans. A hug was almost like a handshake in her world.
