"Please Fenris! I have to go! What if it was Amore and we said that you couldn't go? What if it was your baby?" Drake begged again tears still coming to his eyes but he was trying to force them back so they wouldn't fall.

"Then I'd stay." He said simply, but his resolve was wavering, "I'd know better than to endanger the mission..."

"But Fenris! It's not a normal mission! We're not stealing things! This is a medical stop and we have to take her and I want to be there for her! Fenris, I LOVE HER." Drake choked out weakly and really felt bad and helpless with this... it didn't seem like Fenris was going to let up on this which really made Drake feel bad.

After a moments indecision, Fenris finally relented. "Fine. But the instant you do something that could mess us up, that's it. Play it smart, got it?"

"Okay..." Drake said wiping his eyes before handing Fenris the scarf. "Here, Doc wants us to wear these so the souls don't know that we're not one of them." he said softly before he moved to load a pistol of his own though really felt that they wouldn't need them since, unless a seaker saw them, they would be safe.

Fenris nodded, and wrapped his neck. He turned to Drake and asked,d "You wanna carry her?"

"If I can yes." Drake said since really he knew that he might not be able to carry her with the extra weight that she had put on from the baby... not like she was fat but she was heavier.

Fenris nodded, and grabbed a few other supplies, stuffing them into a backpack, before heading off towards the room. He nodded to doc as he walked by.

Night looked up as she heard the two boys walking back to the room and wondered some what was going on... Doc hadn't told her anything of what was going on... he didn't want her to freak out so he just told her that he was going to have the boys take her to the nearest city so she could have an ultrasound done... he didn't tell her why though.

Drake Lifted Night in his arms, and held her close. Fenris Blindfolded her gently, and soon they were driving to the nearest city.

Night sighed softly when she felt herself being blindfolded and hated it but knew why even though it had been a few months since anyone made a fuss about her... the last fuss was because she got pregnant but it had soon died down. She rested easy in Drake's grip and laid her head on his chest hoping that everything was okay.

Drake sat in the back with Night, holding her close and whispering comforting things to her, while Fenris drove. he tried to avoid the bumps and such, but he was just unable to. "You're gonna need to tell us where to go when we get there,. Okay night?"

Night stayed close to Drake and once she knew they were at the half way point she took off the blindfold... she had been out of the caves often enough that she knew how long it took to get to the half way point. "Okay..." she said softly when she heard Fenris and then just leaned up against Drake closing her eyes softly and felt extremely worried but was trying not to be since she was pregnant and that could bother the baby even more and she knew it.

Arriving, Fenris hid the guns in his pockets, and parked. Drake gently Picked up Night, and they got out. Looking around, they saw a few Souls wandering around. "Where to?" Fenris asked tensely.

"I believe it's just down the street... see that big building? That's it I think... this is a small city so it's smaller then a normal hospital." Night explained softly and quietly though knew that no one was really paying attention. She shivered a bit at the cold for it was even cold with her scarf and thick clothes on... and yet it wasn't snowing today... though it had been.

Shuffling down the road, the group made its way to the building without much hassle. They awkwardly walked in, and observed that not too many people were there. Nervously, Drake walked up to the front desk, and cleared his throat.

The kind looking woman at the desk looked up and smiled some. "Hello, how my we help you? Looking for an ultrasound?" she smiled kindly and Night nodded softly before watching the woman call to a doctor who soon came in with a kind smile. "See you don't have to worry about these people, they are kind and they won't suspect anything." she whispered softly so no one else but the two boys could hear her. They were soon led to a room and the doctor asked Drake to set Night down on the bed while he got the ultrasound ready.

Drake set night down, n the bed, and he leaned anxiously against a wall, while Fenris watched intently. He knew a bit about first aid, and he didn't quite trust the Doctor, so he was waiting for something that didn't seem right.

The doctor smiled some at Night as he finished getting set up. "Okay now, lets see that baby." he smiled before placing the ultrasound jell pin on her baby belly and started to look and listen to it though as he did his face flushed some since all that could be heard was Night's heartbeat and nothing more. He continued to look but nothing seemed to get better and after a few minutes he looked at the three worriedly and sadly. "I'm sorry... I think you've lost her... I can't find a heartbeat anywhere... and I can't feel her moving." he said softly and tears filled Night's eyes as she heard the male and she covered her mouth as they started to overflow and she hycopped soft sobs and just couldn't bring herself to look at the two boys to see how they reacted.

Drake was stunned...... He couldn't believe what the doc had said. Fenris was going to comfort him, but Drake had latched onto Night faster than he could react, and soon, Drake was crying, and hugging Night. Fenris couldn't even think on how to console him.

"I'm so sorry to be the bearer of bad news... and I'm also sorry to say, but she'll have to have surgery..." the doctor said softly not to the two but to Fenris since he wasn't sure how the two would react since they were both morning right now and he knew how it felt so he didn't want to bother them.

Night sobbed in Drake's chest feeling horribly sad and lost because she finally learned what she would have been having... but only on the terms that the baby had died inside of her and now she knew, without hearing the doctor, that she would have to have surgery to remove the little girl... her little girl whom she hadn't even had the chance to see or hold.

Fenris sadly rubbed Drake's back. While Drake sobbed into Night's shoulder. Fenris felt a joke come up in the back of his brain, but suppressed it. He was going to be sensitive for once. Fenris wondered idly about what the doc was going to do.

Night continued to sob until she had finally ran out of tears to cry and at that point she just leaned against Drake feeling tired now though she still felt very bad and upset... it would take her awhile to get over this and even Amore would be upset about this for awhile... it wasn't like she was thinking of it as her baby but if Night had gotten a different host later then she would consider herself an aunt to the child.

Fenris pulled the doctor aside, and said, "Are you going to use anesthetics?" He realized it was on odd question, but if pressed, he was certain that he could cover up the reason for his asking.

"Yes, of course, why?" The doctor asked softly since he really actually had to use anesthics... like what the normal humans had used since the souls didn't really have anything that could match them so that was the best thing to use to keep the person from being conscious during a major procedure.
