Haunts your soul...

There are a few things out there that haunt me.

Starry night, by Van gogh,

The song "When she loved me" from Toy Story Two,

the list goes on.

What haunts you?

(don't say ghosts. That's a rule. You know what I mean by haunting, and that aint it.)

Love the thread, Saro.

The song "Mercy Me" by OneRepublic haunts me. Every time I hear it I tear up a little bit. An old man and woman holding hands lovingly haunts me. It makes me smile.

Hugs haunt me. They are rare and love is not shown that way in my family, so a genuine, loving, hug will haunt me all day long if you give me one.

Rain makes me smile, and it never fails to return me to a happy time in my life. If it's raining when I wake up in the morning, it will be a good day.

And, finally, the quote: "The only person who has to deal with you, and who has to love you, is you. Despite everything else, be who you are, because if you don't love you, nobody ever will." It's something I've said to myself for years. It always comes back into my life one way or another.

The song "Pieces" by Red... It was a Valentines gift to me a few years ago... I still cry every time I hear it.

"You Found Me" and "How to Save a Life" by The Fray.

A happy one would be the month of October and anything to do with Halloween. Even if i see something Halloween related in the middle of summer, without fail, I get happy and start planning for how i can incorporate it into a haunted house or a costume XD It never really leaves.

If I honestly had the time to type up the enormous list of things that haunt me, you guys would all be annoyed haha It's long. Very long. I'm an emotional kind of person, eh what can you do?

There's so many things that haunt me, like a nightmare that I had when I was younger. I can still remember it vividly and it's the only one that still scares me to this day.

I've had a few dreams like that.

Have you ever had a dream about a place over and over?

There's this one town I keep dreaming about for some reason. There's a dry creek bed running through it, and the houses are a bit run down. They look like seventies architecture. There is a big river near it that's a bit choked up with water weeds.

...I've had a dream about this place about twice a year at least since I was maybe four.

I've had a dream for the past two years, exactly the same way, every time I sleep. It's rather long and extremely detailed, so I will not go into detail here. But it haunts me, gives an ominous feeling, and every time I wake, I have to think on it for a while.

Ah, and the sound of a train whistle in the distance at midnight haunts me. I can no longer hear one since I'm now on an island with no trains. But I love that sound, it seems so solitary, especially at night when things are silent and you hear it come through the trees....

And the song Robot Boy from Linkin Park haunts me, I do love that song and listen to it quite a bit.

I keep having a reoccurring dream as well. Nothing special, just me riding a bike from the small town where I grew up for around five miles to my home on the outskirts. Usually I have a radio tied to the handle of my bike, and I'm listening to something on it - the music varies. The scenery just looks so pristine and green and the sky is so magnificently clear. Every time I have it or I think about it, though, I start getting misty-eyed. Maybe it's a subconscious home sickness ever since I moved away.

Music haunts me alllll the time. There are several songs that give me chills and make me feel uber-feelings, as I like to put it. "Fix You" by Coldplay, "Keep Breathing" by Ingrid Michaelson and "Arms" by Christina Perri are a few of them.

I have a dream that haunts me, all the time. I have this dream where I'm trapped in some house. & There is a killer trying to find me.

Explodey 08-11-2011 03:05 AM

There's a few pieces of music that creep me out, and if I chance to hear them, they stick in my head and come back late at night to be scarier.

I don't actually want to mention any of em by name lest I start hearing them.

A really haunty thing tho was the time me & my friend Anni saw the neighborhood cat get hit by a car. I kept flashbacking it for like, a year or two, which sucked because if I couldn't save kitty then, how could I ages after he was dead?

Haunty stuff is haunting, which sucks.

Well, it was a dream that I had when I was about eleven, maybe twleve at the oldest. I was running around this small town and everyone's head was chopped off and there was this big, blue Easter Rabbit laying in this coffin everywhere I went. Eventually everyone's face was masked by newspapers but they still didn't have their heads. Where the heads went off to, I don't know.

I had that nitemare for almost a year, took me ages to go to sleep.
