Most webpages don't work on older browsers, due to them upgrading.
Gotta upgrade for a lot of reasons: better view of webpages, closed security loop holes, etc.

xuvrette 03-03-2013 07:34 PM

... which most webpages you are talking about?

Senpai 03-03-2013 07:56 PM

All webpages, with the exception of small sites like this.
If they all stated the same, security loop holes would not be fixed, the can be exploited, wouldn't run properly with updated extensions (flash and Java, for example).

Browsers gotta update, for those same reasons. Not keeping up with the latest update could mean a huge security risk for the computer. Might as well put a giant bulls-eye target on your back and head.

Seito 03-03-2013 08:03 PM

Updates for the most part are for the better. :3

The only things I refuse to update (unless they force me to) is adobe flash and java because nearly every time I try to update, it manages to break something else. The last adobe flash update broke everything in firefox (couldn't play games, couldn't watch videos) but everything was fine is Chrome. Their only solution? Go back to the previous version I had! :P

Updated Java and suddenly couldn't get into my online class. xD Their solution? Go back to the previous version!

xuvrette 03-03-2013 08:15 PM

Well... lol. Then I must have been using many of the websites that do not require update... other than Photobucket. x.x

But the new update is causing me inconvenience that I am used to! D:
I dislike the new adobe flash.

Seito 03-03-2013 08:23 PM

Well I'm not thrilled with Photobucket's new update either. xD

Senpai 03-03-2013 08:23 PM

I don't play games, in general. So, that stuff being blocked by Flash or Java doesn't bother me. However, I'm just one person. XD

Updating is a must. Period. To refuse, puts you at risk and anyone else who uses those same computers at home at risk. Possibly, anyone at home who uses the same router. There are some router viruses out there that do some nasty work.

xuvrette 03-03-2013 08:28 PM

As of yet, I manage to kill all virus and malware myself~
*happy dance*

I like Photobucket's new site a lot better than the old one >_> At least everything fits on the screen instead of windows and such being cut off due to bad coding.

._. The adding random numbers to your image names still bugs me a bit, though.

and I guess it is flash problem too, as the newer version come with Adobe flash.... not come with, but REQUIRED. and I don't want that new flash... it has this separate volume control that NEVER remembers its settings. DX I always tune browser to 50% volume. and yet every time I closed and reopen the browser, it came back to 100%!

Chrome cannot remember my volume setting too. So now it became my youtube viewer where I need the full volume on.

I never heard of that... o . o;

Well... I don't even know what the volume has to do with the browser? You set your sound settings on your task bar on your desktop. There's regular volume and advanced volume control.

Unless your talking about saved settings on music websites? Because they have no obligation in keeping your volume settings. If there is a volume control inside the browser, that seems tedious. Just use your desktop volume control. xD

Well, my Chrome is a piece of crap. It's updated and everything but for some reason the Flash keeps crashing and going out on it. I've reset-ed it, re-downloaded and refurbished it and it still wants to act like an idiot.

So, I only use Firefox.
Which is a good thing because 90% of websites only work better with FF and the flash stays. I have no trouble with uploading with photobucket/tumblr/tinypic/deviantart/adobe, etc etc. [XP]

Citrus Hammer 03-03-2013 08:38 PM

My main problem with Chrome is that their equivalents of the Firefox add-ons I use are downright wonky.

Senpai 03-03-2013 08:47 PM

I've tried Chrome. I just didn't like the layout. Customzing it was a pain to me.
I stick with Firefox.

xuvrette 03-03-2013 09:00 PM

Citrustrus, you can turn off the file scrambling in your setting.
I turn that off immediately once I find out how to do it. XD

Miroro. Yes that advance volume. The advance volume control remember the settings for my different programme like... SIms 3 uses 50%, Media player uses 100%, music player 100% and so on. If I restart the browser, the volume went back to 100%, where as the other programmes maintain it previous adjustment.

I do wish there were some listings for the new contribution items...

xuvrette 03-03-2013 09:53 PM

What listing?

Divacita 03-03-2013 09:53 PM

Div would but she wonders how selling goes here.

Senpai 03-03-2013 10:07 PM

Well...if you put a listing for a ridiculous amount, no one is going to buy it.

A listing for 50K, for example. No one is going to buy the March CIs for 50K.

Divacita 03-03-2013 11:01 PM

Hahaha, Div didn't think so. Would 3.5K be to much?

Senpai 03-03-2013 11:42 PM

No. It'll be picked up.

List it for 15K. Also, a link for the listing would be appreciated! (Space Commander... not Space Commander Dress)
