As a music addict and lover, I have songs that I can use to define myself and the world around me at any given moment. I almost always can connect the music and/or lyrics of a song to something I have seen or experienced. I have so many I want to share but I'll be nice and only choose one...for now ^^

The lyrics remind me that you only live once, and no matter what happened in the past it does not have to define who you are now. Also, however big or terrifying a problem may be, in the grand scheme of things, It really doesn't matter. It's hard, and I need a lot of reminders sometimes, but I try my best to live by this. Who I am is defined by the choices I make now.

This song is beautiful, yes it is in Korean but it's just really wonderful.. The whole song just speaks to me and reminds me of how I sometimes worry too much about the past and how I can not let go, no matter how much everyone wants me to.. I can't.

This one says what A LOT of girls think. And some guys too, so I am one of those girls LOL. It's a pretty straight forward song and the chorus is entirely in English. I really respect 2NE1. Anyone notice a pattern? xD

Ohmygosh! Finally a song in English! Anyways, I chose these lyrics because well first of all I never really paid attention to Lifehouse until this guy linked me this song and told me that that was how he felt about me pretty much. So after that I sorta cherished it for the sweet feelings it gives, and then now it's mine and my current boyfriend's song (which he is not the dude who linked me it) and it does explain how I feel about not only people... but about art. When I am drawing or coloring, or doing anything related to art in general I forget everything and just fall in love with the work I'm looking at or working on it. Songs can be taken metaphorically, too.

Had to keep this short, actually I didn't even think of this song until I got to the previous one, Hanging by a moment. I actually planned to only post three song lyrics. LOL. But ohmygosh, since the very first time I heard this song it's held such great meaning... You really need to go listen to this, even if it's not your type of music! It's worth it, the meaning of the lyrics is beautiful. I cried, the very first time I heard this song... I cried. It's heart-wrenching and so sad, and it's just really... well the song speaks for itself really.

I like it when people take an interest in the music and try to incorporate into their lives somehow.

Well, if I listed songs just because I like the way they sound, we'd be here for years XD

This song falls under both for me though, I love it just for the way it sounds, but also for the personal meaning I get from the lyrics. It's called "The Night" by Disturbed.
