He cares a lot for people and animals. Even if they are rude or cruel. __________________________________________________ _____________________ It was a beautiful morning, Calcifer was down at the market picking up some fresh vegetables and fruit amongst other foods as well. Calcifer had a couple of Aliases so no one actually knew he was the great Wizard Calcifer. He wanted his identity to be a secret because he knew if it wasn't everybody would be asking him to be their teacher for wizardly. While he was looking at the fresh variety of foods, he felt a strong presence that someone nearby was here. And the person whoever it was, was not exactly human. He kept his eyes opened making sure no one figured out who he was. He wore his usual attire. A suit with a white button up shirt, classy shoes with a vest over his shirt and slacks. He also had a coat over his shoulders. His arms weren't in the sleeves of his coat. |

So wanting to just quit school from all the stress she was put under, she wanted to go find a real wizard to tutor her. She's head-strong and heavy-hearted. She's been hurt a lot mentally, but she's still the same girl she always was before. She has a big fluffy and kind side to her and she's secretly fully understanding. ----------- Helena sighed as she sat down, her back against a tree in the forest she was travelling through. "He has to be here somewhere," she crossed her arms over her chest as she sat her backpack to her side. The sun was setting and she had hoped to have found a town to rest in by now. Given no luck in such a simple task, she got up and gathered fallen branches to make herself a fire. She would continue her quest for a wizard to train her when she would wake up tomorrow. But for now, her feet her and she was hungry. All she had left was bread. She had money to buy food, but there was nowhere to buy the food from. Once she had a fire going, she used her backpack as a pillow, wrapped her grandmother's shawl around herself, and laid down to sleep. Before she knew it, she had fallen into a long-needed deep sleep. |
When the young wizard headed home he took a short cut through the forest. As it was getting dark he held out his hand as there was fire coming from his palm so he wouldn't be going home in the dark. Though he then saw a creature which was about to attack Helena. Before he would even be harmed or even blink he was right in front of her protecting her.
He was not going to let a young innocent girl become endangered. When the creature was gone he looked to the girl. She would know he was a wizard from the magic he used on the creature that attacked her. He stood face to face with her extending his hand to her. "Are you alright?" He asked. His hand looked to be carved with a symbol only wizards knew and had. |
Helena's eyes shot wide open at the sound of growling. She looked up to see what creature laid before her. Her fire had been burnt out and the only thing giving her light to see was the full moon high in the sky. She grabbed her wand beside her right away. She casted a knock-back spell, sending the creature missing the hit in a smart way. The creature's lime green eyes stared back at Helena. When a man had come to the rescue, Helena stood back in awe. She hadn't expect a rescuer. The man's back was to her. And it was obvious he was a wizard by the wand he possessed. She blinked, seeing the outline of the stranger.
"Yeah...I..." she paused for a moment, gathering her self-courage. "had it all under control," she said, so sure of herself. Did she really? |
"Ah I see well sorry to have disturb your little camp out." He said as he bowed politely. "Well I should be taking my leave now." He said standing up straight heading the path to his home. He didn't use a wand. He could use magic with his bare hands. He was very professional and high class. He was so handsome and dashing not to mention elegant.

Helena moved forward and grabbed his arm. "Wait!" she called out. "Do you know where I could find the Great Wizard Calcifer? I'm looking for him to tutor me in the arts of magic," spoke Helena with so much positivity and hope. "It'd mean a lot if you could direct me to him."

He nodded. "I would be honored to." He said. He wanted to surprise her that he was the great wizard Calcifer. Helping the young girl up, he took her hand walking beside her having her arm hooked with his so she would feel safe and no one would attack. If they did it would be easy for him to sweep her up in his arms. When they arrived in the city, she would see a large building. In Large words on the building it said Calcifer.He opened the door to it leading her inside first. Calcifer followed behind her closing the door behind himself. She'd notice there were pictures of him, which meant only one thing. Calcifer the great wizard was him. There had been magic books mostly everywhere, papers mostly over the kitchen table and. It wasn't the neatest place but it was very warm inside since outside was a little chilly since it was dark.

Helena's eyes roamed all over the pictures as soon as she stepped into the building. Her eyes widened and her mouth dropped. Of course! Why didn't I think it? she asked herself as she then stopped her eyes on him. "Y-you're Calcifer?" She was shocked and all the more excited ever since he said he would show her to Calcifer.
She shot out her hand to him to shake. "Well, I'm Helena!" she said with a big smile. |
He chuckled. "Yes I'm Calcifer. Its very nice to meet you Helena. I normally don't train anyone since a lot of people ask me to train them but i can see you have potential. I will be your magic teacher. First the most common thing is to not use your magic for selfish reasons. There had been people who had done that and fell to the demon of greed, or lust things like that. Understood?" He asked taking his jacket off putting it on a chair and unbuttoning the cuffs of his sleeves so he would roll his sleeves up just a little lower then where the elbow was. "You can stay here as long as you want. Make yourself comfortable. Your probably hungry aren't you?"

Helena smiled brightly as she sat her bag down at her feet, looking all around the place. "I do? And don't worry about the greed thing. I've been to the Wessex School of Witchcraft and Wizardry long enough to know simple right from wrong," said Helena with a chuckle. "Yes, please, I'm starving. I was on my last package of bread," she said with a chuckle. "But I have money, I'll pay you," she then said, more hastily than planned.

"No need to pay me. Your my guest and I shall treat you as a guest and as a student." He said as he cleared the table a bit. He took out a pan. He didn't have any sort of stove really he used a fire it was very home-made like. He placed the pan onto the fire as he began to cook a delicious yet healthy meal.

Helena sat down and closed her eyes, smelling the atmosphere. She felt so calm, at ease, and so at home here. "The food smells amazing. Reminds me of what my brother used to cook me on nights he'd return home from his missions. He works on the Wizard Army to help protect us against killing Mortals," said Helena as she rested her chin on her hand as she watched Calcifer cook. In a way...he was unbelievably highly attractive and it still struck Helena by surprise.

He smiled. "I see." He said as he finished up cooking. He made beef pasta. Though it was a family recipe. He then took the pan off the fire getting two plates putting the food onto the plates. "So tell me about yourself Helena." He said clearing the table before the two of them sat down and began to eat. "Where did you come from?" He asked knowing she must've came from somewhere besides the forest.

Helena eyed the food, suddenly realizing just how starving she was. She smiled and looked back at Calcifer. "My father is a wizard...my mother a mortal," she said as she began to eat. "My father used to be a Wizard officer until he met my mom on a rescue mission. She told me it was love at first site. And then..." she trailed off as she took another bite of her food, highly impressed with how good it tasted. "Mm...this is good," she said as she then went back to what it was she was saying. "She died just last year because of this wizard-gone-bad. My dad's this depression so I want to avenge my mother," Helena said as she took yet another bite. "I come from Wessex. My father's now the head master of the wizarding school there...and he's probably furious with me right now," ended Helena.

"You have quite the history don't you Helena?" He asked and smiled at the girl in front of him. "Well since our paths crossed for a reason, I will teach you everything I know. I have had many experiences with wizardly. I never went to a school. I mostly learned it on my own and with the help of a fellow teacher of mine who knows everything there is about magic. I was grateful to be taught by such an experienced wizard at the time." He said as he had finished his food and washed his plate off in the sink. "I know just as much as she does. Maybe more." He said softly.

Helena just smiled as her eyes followed Calcifer's every movement. "What was her name?" asked Helena, curious as ever. "I'm sure you'll be the best teacher yet. All my other teachers had set so many restrictions that I found it hard to learn period," she explained as she sat back in her seat and crossed her arms, finished with her food. She had to say. She felt at most home here she had felt in a while. Even though her parents were probably out looking for her, worried sick, she was sure that many good things would come out of this. |

"Madam Leilayn" He told her. "She was an outstanding teacher. She taught me everything to know about magic since I was seven since I was an orphan basically my entire life. She took good care of me. She was like a mother to be and still is." He told her. "I Believe you will be worth teaching. You do have potential. I can see it in your eyes. I haven't met anyone who has had potential. Most of the people who come to me so i can teach them about magic want to use magic for selfish reasons. They are the ones to fall lower then the demon of greed." Calcifer said. He sounded very serious. It was obvious magic was very important to him. |
Helena nodded, taking into consideration of what Calcifer was saying. "I think I really want to help out, to fight against the ones who use their powers for bad," said Helena as she soon yawned, suddenly finding it hard to keep her eyes opened. She wouldn't want to be rude and ask to sleep. She actually wanted to stay up and talk with Calcifer more. He seemed so wise and interesting. She wanted to know more about him.

A smile spread across his face as he heard what Helena said. "I do too though I do not want to use violence unless it is a last resort." He told Helena. Seeing how she looked beyond tired he walked over to her. "You look very tired. Do you want to go to bed? The guest room I have has hardly been used so its all ready for you." He told her. He didn't want Helena pushing herself past her limits. He understood if she was tired. He did enjoy talking to the girl but tomorrow he could do that.

Helena smiled as she got to her feet. "We all have to face the necessity to use violence no matter what," she said as she then shrugged her shoulders as she went over to her bag. "Or so my father once said," she then mumured as she stretched, arching her back until it cracked in various places as she stretched an arm up high above her. "I would love some sleep," she then said as she reached down and grabbed her back. "Haven't had a good-night's sleep for a long time." |

Calcifer nodded. He agreed to what Helena's father once said. Calcifer didn't like violence. He had grown up in a place where there had been nothing except violence. That was one reason he tried to refuse resorting to using violence against people. But sometimes no matter what he does he knew that would be an option. "Well you should get some rest. I don't want my student to be pushing herself too hard. Tomorrow we will start your training after you've had a good amount of sleep." He said patting her head gently. "Get some rest. Tomorrow is a big day for you." He said softly to her with a smile. Calcifer's touch was so gentle and warm. He was a very kind man anyone would even say so. |
The kindness that Calcifer was showing Helena was almost too overwhelming. He was being so kind and gentle with her. No one had ever been that way with her. "Really? No...waking up as soon as the sun is up?" she asked with a light chuckle as she waited for Calcifer to show her to her room. "I'm beginning to like my decision all the more," she said, complimenting the fact that she was loving it here in Calcifer's home.

Calcifer smiled. "No. I don't want you to be up so early you can barely stay awake." He told her. He went upstairs showing her the room Helena would be staying in. Opening the door the room was very elegant. It didn't look like a boys room and it looked mostly like a girl's room but not over dramatic girly. It was a peaceful and neutral feeling. "My room is down the hall to the right and the bathroom is across the hall." He told her making sure she had everything she needed. "If you need me I will be in my room." He told her. "Have a good night's sleep."

Helena smiled as she looked around the room. "It's perfect," she whispered as she walked around the room. When Calcifer had left, she sat her bag down at the end of the bed and plopped down. Shocked by the comfort of the bed, her eyes closed and her body succumbed to sleep instantly.

Calcifer got ready for bed. He was looking over some of his spell books that he would need for tomorrow to help Helena out. After staying of for half an hour, he got into his bed turning out his light. It didn't take him long before he fell asleep. When it was morning, Calcifer took a shower first After his shower, he got dressed and decided to make breakfast. He made scramble eggs with toast and jam on it along with bacon and sausage. He hoped Helena liked this kind of breakfast.
