The Super-Special-Awesome Arechi request thread
If anyone was wondering, yes I was using a common phrase in the YGOTAS in the title. Anyways I've returned to Mene, and as usual I'm always looking for roleplays that catch my interest, as well as finding people to play them with. Little bits and pieces to know about me I guess. The name's Arechi, knowing my real name takes a bit of effort XD, and roleplaying is my game. I guess I could be considered literate or at least semi-lit? Honestly I don't really like titles like that, so I'll just say I know how to write sentences with capitalization and punctuation, and it's usually something that can be worked with. Occasionally my posts can seem more like...novels, so be prepared for that. I promise though I don't always have such long posts, so there's not threat of going blind from over reading. XD I primarily do fantasy/supernatural type roleplays, but at times can be convinced to play a normal human being if the roleplay idea strikes my fancy.
I now have internet at my house so the restriction I had previously is no longer there. Unacceptable She smiled. Or: I smiled. Acceptable Eva smiled gently at the wounded bunny as she carefully wiped the blood from its eyes, and prayed it wouldn't mistake her finger for a carrot. Group Ideas -Supernatural band forced to stop some sort of evil, or having to face some sort of problem. -Supernatural school for the evilly gifted, with some students going undercover for the side of good. -Demons, humans and Angels attempting to end their centuries long war. -Twisted Fairy tales- Basically a fairy tale of some sort is chosen and is taken/twisted out from how it typically went. For example Little Red Riding Hood – The wolf ended up falling in love with Red Riding Hood when he saw her instead of trying to eat her. Red Riding hood was forced to deliver her evil grandmother's rat poison, so that she could kill all the animals and rule over them and was actually half elf instead of human. Her mother was locked away in an attic at her grandmother's house and so her father was the one that sent her. That sort of thing, and it doesn't have to be just Little Red Riding Hood, I'm up for any fairy tale. If I don't know it I'm more than willing to look it up. ^.^ (Yes I'll include 'fairy tales' from Disney in this too. XD This can be a small group or 1x1 rp too.) -Group of friends one night decide to go to a new haunted house that's about to open, with one of them working at it and thus having the entry key. However there's a strange artifact that makes whatever they fear come to life in the haunted house and try to kill them. In order to escape they either have to go through the haunted house or realize that it was the artifact making the props come to life to play out their fears and destroy it. (This can also be a 1x1 rp too) -There's a world paralleled to earth where at night small man eating creatures come out to eat and kill people. The catch is they can only find people when they move or make a noise. If a person makes a move or noise the creatures will come after them and devour them. People from earth (Small amount like 2-5) are somehow transported to this world and must learn how to survive and/or get back home by trying to befriend the humans of that world. (Can be a 1x1 one too. This is a horror one so yes not everyone's charrie can/will live.) ~Sorry I'm mainly drawing up quite a few blanks here, since most of the ones I'm wanting to do are currently being worked on and to be posted in the near future here. I promise I'll try to come up with more/better ones. :sweat: If you've seen one of my past roleplays that you would like to see again do let me know and I can scrounge it up again and repost it.~ One on One Ideas ~I'm pretty much willing to do the male charries since I very very rarely like to do female ones. Don't ask me why I'm just weird like that. Also know that the first gender doesn't necessarily have to stay male. I don't have too much of a preference on which one I play and again if I'm needed to play a female role I will. >.>
Fan Ideas -Tokko (Symbionts are drawn from past eras are brought to present day, and either join the phantoms, tokko or are on their own) -Shonen Onmyouji (Out of the original characters I would like to play Toda. The other gods/goddesses or who they serve can be ones that aren't from the show.) -Kaze no Stigma (I would like to play Kazuma for sure, all other characters can be made up if wanted.) -SoulEater -Castlevania: Curse of Darkness (Actually working on getting this one up and created currently) ~I have many things I like I just have a select few that I want to actually play around with. No worries though more will come later on, I promise. :D~ Again if you have some sort of an idea that I haven't listed feel free to ask if I'd be interested in it. I promise I won't bite. ^.^ Upcoming Roleplays These are roleplays that I'm currently working on making/completing/contemplating on reposting. I won't be posting the full plots or details here, but on the roleplay thread itself. If you find that you want to know more about a particular one feel free to let me know and I'll give you what details I can about it. >Wolf shifter vs. Tiger shifter - Basically it'll be a war type roleplay. I'm not quite sure if I want to attempt a Romeo and Juliet type thing or something else. We'll just have to see where my mind goes on that one. (Blame animal planet for this one. XD) >Zombie invasion - Basically it's how it sounds. This one will be based mainly from the anime High School of the Dead, with my own twists in it. More to come when I think of them. I'm somewhat eager to do your ghost x human role-play. I usually prefer to play females and don't mind playing human. I used to fantasize that all the time in the past where I had a male ghost friend. So I think it could be really fun to role-play. :)

I don't really... Well... I do kind of have the plot from back then still memorized, despite how many years it's been since I made it. Though with that one it would require doubling or tripling...

The one that I have floating around in the back of my mind is something like: Some sort of tragic event occurs in some building, be it an apartment, school, house, business office, ect... that results in the death of a young man/boy. Due to the reasons behind his death his spirit has been bound to Earth. He's free to walk to most place, but prefers to simply stay in the building he died in. The building becomes abandoned, but some corporation or organization decides to renovate it to be useable again. Depending on what kind of building it was humans can move in or use it for its original purpose. Either way one girl/woman begins to notice strange occurrences, but no one believes her so to prove she's not crazy she sets out to find whatever is causing the strange happenings, which ends with her meeting the ghost. From there it could go pretty much anywhere from trying to fend of ghost hunters/exorcists to trying to find a way for the ghost to pass on. The other one that I have floating around is something along the lines of owners of a house, school or hospital report to a well known group of ghost hunters/exorcists that there's a haunting in the building and so they send one of their members to go an investigate. During the investigation the two meet. The ghosts actions were meant to only be benign rather than malevolent, and so the two come to some sort of understanding. It leaks out to the group that the hunter/exorcist came from that there is indeed a ghost and so it becomes a matter of finding a way to prevent the ghost from being exterminated and the hunter/exorcist from being turned into a ghost herself and exterminated. Or something like that. XD The second one might require a few characters that might need to be created for the sake of the storyline, but they don't have to be major ones either. It could also turn into a conflict with the hunter or exorcist that first finds the ghost trying to decide if they should indeed terminate the ghost or not when they've found out a little bit about him so that other characters wouldn't really need to be created. |
The first one sounds interesting...
Mine could probably fit in with that somehow. My plot goes something like this... There's this boy (around his late teens or early adulthood) who was running away from the Nazis during/near the end of the second world war. He was helping Jews escape to America, but along the way he got caught in an old house in America by Nazis who followed him there. They killed him for the wrong he did and rumour had it his body was hidden away by them in the attic, only to be discovered by the daughter of the family who lived there now. She was around his age, maybe slightly younger. Anyway, soon after that his ghost shows up, after having spied on her for a while, and tries to calm the girl down without scaring her again. He wanted to be friends with her, knowing this girl didn't have very many. It also seemed he'd taken a liking to this girl as well during his spy sessions. But was stubborn enough not to admit it. He had a name, but over the years had forgotten what it was... The girl thought about giving him a new name, but was too shy to tell him what it was. That's all I can remember right now... It's been at least 7 or 8 years since I made that plot. |
It does sound interesting and it could indeed fit in with the first idea I had too. I definitely like it. ^.^
Now comes the question of how, such as with making bios and posting them first or just getting right into the roleplay, and where we want to start it. Do you have any preferences? ^.^ |
I'm thinking small profile with name, age, and appearance then having the first post as the description of their lives so far.
I'm thinking the girl just came home from school and needed something for the next day, hence needing to go up into the attic where the body was. In stead of finding what she needed, she finds that instead... |

Arechi: I don't want to be lame, and stuff, but I was wondering if you were interested in a Greek Mythology kind of RP? I'm a big fan of the Olympians (and the other gods, too!) and am totally in the mood to do something far out and supernatural.

Wow, that was a quick response. Sweet! :lol: Well, I haven't really put too much thought into an idea that hasn't been done a thousand times already. I mean, I don't mind doing the demi-gods in a modern day setting, but... I think too much of the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series. But, I think it would be cool to do a re-imagining of one of the old stories. I like the 'Twisted Fairy Tales' idea.

Lol I do try to make timely responses, especially when I'm online. XD I can see how we can do a sort of twisted fairy tale with Greek mythology. What we can do is choose a Greek legend or myth and essentially twist it. Luckily there's quite a few legends and myths with the Greeks that are known about, so we've got quite a selection to choose from. There was an idea that a friend of mine had a long while ago where she essentially took the plot from Xena and incorporated it into her roleplay. So we can even take stories that may not have originated with the Greeks, but still had their mythology incorporated and twist it around too. :D
There's also the tales of The Odyssey, The Iliad, the story of Psyche and Cupid, The abduction of Persephone, The twelve trials of Hercules, Jason and the Golden Fleece, just to name a few. |
:) Cool. I tend to be a bit slow to respond, because I'm drowning in homework almost constantly.
There are alot to choose from... But, I love all those stories—I especially adore Psyche and Eros, and The Labors of Heracles. I’m having the hardest time choosing anything really, because, I love the strong romantic aspect of some of the others tales, but I also like the idea of having to traverse the lands on a perilous journey. Though, since we’re going to twist it up and make it into our own thing; I think we could, maybe, take the premise of Beauty and the Beast; an attractive maiden\gentleman held against their will. And put Greek themes to it—like, they’re the unwilling lover of (just an example) Zeus. But, instead of the captive falling in love with him; they fall for a mortal, or a demi-god—or even another god—and in order for the two of them to be together, the suitor has to compete in deadly gladiator-like games, or complete impossible task, or simply use his cunning to trick Zeus. :oops: Though, if that inspires too many eye rolls—I’ll tone down my corniness. Lol. |

I can definitely understand that, especially since a lot of the myths deal with some sort of romance. In truth quite a few of them would be excellent in twisting. I do like the idea of taking the idea of Beauty and the Beast and possibly combining it somewhat with the Psyche and Cupid story by having the suitor attempt to complete impossible tasks. We could even combined a couple of them where one of the tasks is a gladiator like one, or having to trick one of the other gods in either gaining some sort of item, blessing, mark, information or something. And no worries you're not being corny. :D |
Oh, cool. What kind of job do you have? For remaining portion of summer, I'm working at a department store.
:eager: Yeah, that sounds awesome. Like, in total; there could be seven task that have to be completed by the Winter Solstice (which could be when Zeus takes his concubine up to Olympus, to grant her\him immortality and the title of Cupbearer) and the suitor isn't to be given any aid from the Olympians; because he has to find and complete the tasks with his own wit, strength and tools. Of course, the gods do anything they can to help him, despite being told not to intervene. But, since they don't want to be caught; they give him objects that Zeus would never guess to be magical. Like, Hermes can give him a broken compass that can lead him anywhere he wants to go. Or Athena and Ares can give him an animal skull that, if he peers into its empty eye-sockets, can give him amazing insight. :P So, like, what time period? And are going to use our own characters? Awesome~ :cool: Don't be afraid to tell me when I'm being corny, though. Or else, I'll go off the deep end. :lol: |
Currently I'm one of the chefs at a grocery store in the gourmet section, the place where all the prepared foods are. Though I will say it's not all it's cracked up to be since I also get to be a perishable clerk there too. Got to love multitasking jobs and titles. @.@
I think that would work out rather well, and also has a feel of a Greek myth too. :D In a sense it reminds me of The Abduction of Persephone and the Psyche and Cupid myth all wrapped up into one in a strange sort of way too. XD The idea of the gods and goddesses helping the suitor is quite brilliant too by using inconspicuous items. For time periods I would say either during the Greek or Roman era, or at least some era before cars, though it could be done in modern times though with internet and such it probably wouldn't be as exciting. XD I think our own characters would be good along with the 'pre-made' Greek gods and goddesses, since they're so similar to humans in nature anyways. :D And no worries I'll be sure to let you know, though I don't find many things to be considered corny so I don't think you'll have to worry about that. Besides I know some of the ideas I have in my first post are probably pretty corny. XD |
