Dreams are Reality
A young girl has it all, the family with money, high social status, looks, brains, the perfect life. What else could you ask for? The perfect love, the perfect school, the perfect dreams. You never would think you could ask for more, until you met this child who wished for her life to be something else. These words tell the tale of a young girl's life, perfect in every way, and how she winds up in a world not her own after making a wish and disappearing forever. Is it forever? Or will she return? Who will she meet and who will wish to never see her? Find out in "Dreams are Reality" Name: Kane Gabriels Age: 24 Bio: Kane is an inventor, a mage, and sometimes he works with alchemy. Most of his life he is always traveling from place to place. He cares not much for others and usually works to do anything the prince of the land wishes. Not caring for love or anything anyone else wants, besides the prince. He works to achieve his own goals, however, once a month he returns to the prince and royal family. Class(social): High Class Mage Other:He is very experienced in magic and knows alot of things that he learns on his travels, however, he has a curse that he must bear with and not even the royal family or his parents know about it. (This might be a small post as intro, But, I don't know what to wright exactly and I just got rid of my headache XP)
"Kane, there you are" The prince of the land of dreams had spoken of, Kane turned to see whom had spoken. "Prince Aliesh (Ah-lee-sh), what are you doing here out so early?" Kane asked wondering why the prince was outside this late in the morning. Most of the time the prince would sleep in late and even not go outside much. "I do believe I can go where ever I wish, Kane" Aliesh replied to Kane watching him as the sun was barely above them indicating it was only around 10 am. "I did not think that you couldn't, I just thought you were resting" Kane replied as the Prince came closer to Kane "Prince, you know I am not like that, I do, however, have to leave today around the afternoon maybe sooner" "Why do you always have to leave?" Prince Aliesh replied asking as he stepped back from Kane some. "Its going to be longer this time, it may be some time before I return" Kane replied about to walk away "However, the royal family raised me, so of course, I will be back as soon as I can to pay my respects" Kane replied as the Prince turned to leave "The sooner you leave, the sooner you come back correct?" "Yes that is correct" "Then at least give me a hug before you go" of course the prince may have liked both gentlemen and ladies, however, Kane was completely straight, no intentions of going with any men. "alright" they were like brothers, Kane hugged the prince, and for a few moments it lasted until Kane chose to get his things ready and leave. Two days had passed and he was traveling around, trying to find things that could be of some use to him, though, it wasn't that easy to find rare things, otherwise if it was, it wouldn't be easy now would it. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ In another dimensional time, there was a young girl, with everything she could dream of, the life anyone would wish for, she had everything, everything except for happiness. She was off on vacation with her grandparents, she would rather be out in the country rather than on a business trip with her family. Of course business trips meant that you could party, but, going to the country could've been rather more exciting. Name: Amira (Uh-meer-uh) Boyd Age: 18 Bio: Her friends call her Ami, Aimes or Mir, she is a strong willed, fun loving, adventurous and curious. She longs to go out an experience the world on her own as she's tired of having to be so constantly in the spotlight acting so proper and boring. Class(social): Upper-upper class (Defined as: People who have been born into and raised with wealth; mostly consists of old, noble, or prestigious families.) She hated attending events with her family, they were always so, boring. Nothing exciting or fun ever happened at a ball, or a business deal luncheon. She sighed, patting her poofy ball dress down as she tried thinking of ways to get out of this evening. She heard a small knock as the door to her suite opened and her personal guard Vladimir stepped in with a bow. "What's up Vlad?" she asked in a sweet and smooth tone as she sat up. Vladimir replied in a worried voice as he rushed over to pull her off the bed and smooth out her dress. "You're going to wrinkle your dress and mess your hair and you know what will hapen if you show up in a mess don't you? Off with my head!" Amira laughed knowing such a thing would never be ordered. She slapped at his hands as he pulled at her dress, "Vlad, really, it's fine." she said as she made her way to the mirror. Her long blonde hair was up in a curly bun, her face powdered and lips rouged, her dress was beautiful and elegant, a light pink as was requested by her grandparents to speak "sweet and innocent". She sighed again. She would rather be anywhere but here tonight, maybe she would run away - the thought was interupted by Vladimir tugging at her gloved arm, pulling her towards the door as he nudged her out of it and locked her suite behind them. He held out his arm and she did a mental eye roll as she looped her arm through his to be escorted to her limo. As they exited the hotel Amira took in the warm night air. Twilight was on them and only a small orange-pink dab of color was left ahead of them on the horizon. Stars twinkled in the vast openess above her as she closed her eyes and enjoyed the light breeze on her face. How she wished to be done with all of this, and to be anywhere but on her way to this event. Vladimir gave her another tug and she opened her eyes to look down the stairs at the white limo that awaited her. Slowly making her way down the stairs and curtsying graciously at the driver who held the door for her, she pouted her way into the back of the car. The door closed behind her as she layed her head against the seat and closed her eyes. This was going to be a long night. ((I'm assuming it's ok to be evening here while morning there in a different dimension!)) |
Kane had left, it had a been a couple days since he left the kingdom on horseback, the prince wouldn't allow him to walk since he said "It would take you too long" just another reason to complain, however, it doesn't mean he had to ride the horse, and yet in any case he did.
"Well Ginger, what do you think? You up for the long walk? Don't worry I'm not going to..." Kane quit talking realized he was being followed by more than one person. He kept on walking... (I think I have an idea on how to get you into the past without changing up too much, I was thinking since she is in a car, maybe like a car accident and at the hit of impact, it could send her into the past, she could be wearing a necklace that was passed down throughout her family?) |
Amira had laid her head against the back of her seat. She closed her eyes and the low hum of the ride on the highway lulled her to sleep. She was dreaming of a different time, a different place where she could live happily without all of this fake act she had to play for her parents. She was wearing a tiny heart shaped locket that had been passed down through the women in her family for many many generations. She could never get it to open, nor could any of the women before her. Her mother and grandmother joked about it's magical powers, or so she thought they were jokes. The tiny locket began to glow, first dimly, and then brighter and brighter until beams of light shot from the windows of the limo. And like that, Amira was gone, no trace or clue that the girl had ever been in the limo at all.
She was still asleep, laying comfortably in a patch of grass in a small clearing surrounded by trees. The sunny day would have woken her up if it hadn't been for the tree cover that surrounded her. Stirring slightly as a bird whistled nearby, she continued dreaming of a far away place, completely unaware that she had finally gotten her wish. ((I don't know what the place looks like in your time and demension, so if I'm super wrong, correct me!)) |

That was until a light had appeared scaring away those near him and he saw, in a lovely, large meadow, a maiden with long blonde hair in a lovely dress lying under a large tree as the sun was barely coming upon the land to light it with its glow. He wondered if that was the glow he saw, however, even if that was true, why was a maiden such as her out in the middle of no where and wondered if she lived nearby. It was dangerous to be nearby the woods and lying out there where everyone could see you along with no escape routes. |
As the light of the sunny day beamed through the trees that gently swayed in the wind, passing little bits of light over her face, Amira opened her eyes slowly adjusting to the light. Huh? Where, am I? she thought. She sat up slowly looking around. I snapped, I finally snapped, snuck a bunch of champagne at the ball and ran away. Yes, that's got to be it. It was a warm and beautiful sunny day. A cool breeze swept over her as the trees rustled overhead. She could hear a gentle crashing of waves in the distance. Waves? I must be far from the hotel... Amira stood, not knowing which way exactly would get her out of these woods. Remembering her girl scout days being told to stay put if she were ever lost she frowned, then sighed, what am I going to do?

Kane's horse walked over to the girl under the tree "Are you alright, miss?" he asked wearing clothes (like the pic) different than hers and of an older style at that. The wind brushed past him, the one thing he loved was the wind, water, not so much. 'I wonder why she is dressed that way?' he thought to himself.

Amira heard the sound of horse feet approaching. She turned to see a handsome blonde man atop a valiant steed of sorts. Blinking owlishly up at him she wondered why his attire looked so, old. She shrugged it off, he must be a part of a 'play in the park' that theater junkies liked to preform from time to time. She stood brushing off her dress. Smiling up at him she replied, "Yes I'm fine! Thank goodness someone found me! Can you tell me how to get back to my hotel, The Emarion? I seem to have sleep walked here or something..." she shrugged slightly.

"The Emarion? Thats an odd name for a home and what is a 'hotel'?" Kane asked as he looked at the girl a bit confused, he was questioning rather if she was sane or not. First she is out here by herself without any care to the danger around her and now she was talking about somewhere she came from called a 'hotel' There was nothing like that in this time era that he had known about, maybe an Inn, but, that was it. |
For a moment Amira stared up at the man in confusion. "What do you mean, what is a hotel?" Was he serious? "A name for a home? Are you pulling my leg? Look I just need to get home, if you're not going to help me I'll just figure it out on my own" she said with a frown before turning on her heel and walking away. She began to walk down the small trail in the direction the man and horse had come from assuming that had to have come from somewhere.

Kane moved the horse to where he was blocking her way now, he couldn't let someone like her, a young lady that is, go down an unknown path with those were probably still there, however, she seemed to have walk fast as they were already halfway down the path to where some bandits jumped out. Kane sighed, he so did not need this right now.

Amira was walking down the path, annoyed at the man's attempt to block her when a small group of four men surrounded them. They too were dressed in clothing from another era. She raised an eyebrow, "Is this a joke? Really, I'm being set up..." Before she could finish her accusations one of the men grabbed her arm. "No joke here sweets, now hand over your gold." Amira was confused again, "My gold? What is wrong with you people? Let go of me!" she said as she jabbed the man in the ribs with her free arm. In an instant they seemed to be in a sort of scuffle, her pushing him and him grabbing at her causing her long blonde hair to fall from it's bun and onto her bare shoulders. This was getting ridiculous, she thought as she looked about at the other men closing in. She reached back and swung her fist, clocking the man right in the eye, sending him stumbling backwards onto his butt. "Self Defense 101," she said with a confident smile, "My parents made me take it." Then it was an all out war, the other three men rushed her, two grabbing each of her arms and the other standing in front of her facing the man on the horse. Facing Kane, he spoke, "Give us your gold or your wench is done for!" he said holding his knife at Amira's throat. Who was he calling a wench!?

Kane didn't bother with any unnecessary moves, simply getting off his horse which he told to take off, he looked at the men counting the odds. This wouldn't take long for him, the wind picked up, streams of colors began to form, and even the trees branches moved to the way of the magic. This was offensive wind magic, not defensive "He's a magi, get away from him boss" one of the men in the back replied but the boss wouldn't have any of that. He wouldn't retreat nor would his men as much as they would want to. The wind circled around taking out each guy as a summoning symbol was outlined on the ground under Kane's feet, his eyes closed as he focused until all of the guys were lying on the ground. They were knocked out, in pain, or too shocked to get back up at that moment. "Let us go, miss" he wasn't asking her at all but gave her a choice "Stay with them and get raped or come with me and we can figure out why you do not belong here" he stated then walked away.

The wind picked up, blowing her dress and sending her hair whipping about her face. Amira's eyes widened at the sight of what appeared to be magic. No way this was happening. She had to be dreaming. When the wind stopped and all of the men were dibilitated laying about, the man spoke to her and offered her two choices. With an obvious answer she walked to him. What did he mean by her not belonging here? And how did he know magic? She stared up at him in half amazement, half shock as she waited for his instruction.

"My name is Kane Gabriels, who are you?" Kane didn't waste time in getting to the end of everything. He was going to figure out how someone such as this girl, who looked to be high of social status, appear under a tree not knowing where she was, let alone when.

"I'm Amira Boyd, I'm sure you've heard of my family, my dad owns Boyd airlines..." she paused. There really wasn't any need to tell him anymore information, if he didn't recignize her name or the airline he was an alien, she'd be sure of it.

"Airlines? Odd word to use, what does it mean?" Kane asked realizing soon the sun would go down. "Why don't we speak elsewhere, there should be a small town near and we can find an inn there" Kane added as the girl smiled taking the older girl by the hand leading her off towards the way kane said to go.

Amira's long hair flitted in the wind a bit, causing her to look around again at her surroundings. It seemed the sun was beginning to go down. When Kane questioned the airlines Amira decided it true, he was an alien. Upon his suggestion of an Inn she was in a way relieved, although she hadn't known of an Inn in the area she had been in. She must be awfully far from her hotel. When he took her hand she gladly acepted his offer. She didn't want to be in these woods at dark, and although he seemed crazy, or alien, maybe he could give her more information on where she was, or at least help her into town, where she could ask someone less, crazy.

Um I know I said I would roleplay this, and I know its been like forever, but, I am going to have to say I do not wish to keep roleplaying this. Maybe again later but I am going to the library in a couple of days and am going to read like crazy. Only way to get inspiration but as for now I am sorry.
