" I think it was. Things just felt off for some reason." Deanna said .

"Which means they know you're in the gym. Luckily, they can't enter without someone's permission, which they won't get," Tracy said.

"Um...what exactly are you two talking about?" Eragon finally asked.

"There is a terrible organization after my sister Carly and her Bishie Max. They sent Erasers to possibly capture me to get to them. " Deanna said.

"I still don't fully understand...Why does this organization want your sister and her Bishie?" Eragon asked.

" Max was a part of a terrible experiment combining the DNA of humans and birds. Max is part of a flock that escaped from The School, which is the research facility where she escaped from. " Deanna said trying to explain things the best she could.

"And your sister helped her escape, which is why these Erasers are after them?" Eragon asked after listening. He was trying to get all the facts that he could so that he could make a better decision.

" Right. I don't want to be used to get to them. " Deanna said sadly. She hoped there was a way she could help.

"Do they have any weaknesses?" he asked. After finding out about how badly his usage of the Ancient Language on the girl named Eva, he didn't want to risk doing something like that again to another innocent person.

" They have short lifespans. Though I don't know of any other weaknesses. " Deanna replied.

"Interesting...you would think that with short lifespans only that generation would hunt for the two," Eragon thought aloud. Then again, if the next generation knew about the struggles of the previous generation...

" I think they are raised to take orders. Though I only know what Max has said and that isn't very much. " She said.

"Which most likely include finding Max and making her life as miserable as it can be before killing her...or bringing her back to that institution," Eragon stated. "I wonder if there's someway to stop them from being created..."

" There might be. But I don't know where this school is. I don't like that this is happening. " Deanna said.

Eragon nodded in understanding. "There has to be a way to find out where it is," he said.

Renamon scowled lightly as she saw the wolfen creatures that were hunting Carly and Max head away from a building that she saw a few scientists enter just a few seconds ago. 'The Scientists and these Erasers...are they working together?' the vixen asked herself as she stealthily made her way back to the safehouse.

Carly was feeling uneasy. She hoped that the Erasers were not here looking for her and Max. She thought she had saw one, but couldn't be sure.

Alex was glad that Carly told them about the Erasers, but he wasn't sure what to do with the current situation. Plus there was the fact that the Scientists were out there somewhere. He then saw Simon's Renamon coming inside and looked like she had more bad news for them.

Simon was concered when he saw Renamon." Ren? IS everything alright?" He asked his long time friend.

Renamon shook her head lightly as she told the others what she saw.

Carly was scared that now the School might know where they are. She hoped Deanna was safe.

Tyler placed a hand on Carly's shoulder lightly. "We're not going to let anything happen to you or Max," he said.

Carly nodded. " I just hope they don't get to Deanna. " She said.

"They won't Carly. Tracy is helping her stay safe," Alex responded, overhearing what she said.

" That's good. " Carly said feeling a bit better.

Alex was glad to know that the news made Carly happy, but also knew that they had to stop these Erasers. "Carly, what would these Erasers do if they catch either you or Max?" he asked.

" I don't know. Probably hurt us both once they took us back to the School. " Max said.
