"And they would capture Dea to get you out in the open, wouldn't they?" Alex asked.

" They would. " Carly said solemnly. She would call Tracy later to see if Deanna was safe.

Alex nodded lightly in understanding. "So they'll do just anything in order to get what they want..."

"Exactly." Max said, having the feeling that the School was somehow involved with the scientists they were hiding from.

"Alex, would it be a stretch that this School that Max is talking about created these Scientists? It would explain how they were all able to suddenly vanish like they did when we rescued Yugito," Renamon stated as Yugito rubbed her arm lightly, remembering the many needles they inserted into her.

" I don't think it would be a stretch considering most of the scientists seemed to be similar. Though I don't think all of them would be created by the School." Salem said.

"Then I wonder how the other scientists got away..." Renamon said, thinking out loud.

" There is a technique they use to get out of an area quickly, but it was only an idea when I was there. " Salem said. He hoped that they didn't have any way to find them here.

"Are you saying you were with the scientists a long time ago?" Alex asked calmly, as a ton of scenarios were going through his head.

"Before I was with their security team I was training to be a scientist. Though the company got bought out and most of us were transfered to other departments. " Salem said.

"Which is why you're with us and not them?" Zero bluntly asked as he received a glare from his trainer. "What? There had to be something that turned them from someone like Salem here," at this he pointed towards Salem and Renamon before continuing, "and those bastards. I also think he would be treating Renamon differently, more like a servant or something rather than a friend," the Maverick Hunter finished.

" He is right. I can be myself here and want to help you all as much as I can. " He said. Salem knew that the others still were cautious of him.

Renamon noticed the suspicions of her trainer and friend from the others and narrowed her eyes lightly. "Salem wouldn't betray any of you. Why would he, especially when you all helped save me when the Scientists started those fires?" Renamon asked. After a few minutes she also said, softly, "and he wouldn't have been so angered when I was captured by them either."

" Renamon is right. remember I worked as a secretary for the scientists and you trust me" Eve said hoping she was right about that.

"Exactly the point I was going to make. Guys come on, we can't start second guessing people here, especially with the Erasers and these Scientists are working together. Simon, what was the theory that they had with this teleportation thing?" Alex said and asked, having a feeling that it was based off of Renamon's shadow transport.

" It was based on Renamon's shadow transport and I think that was one of the reasons they captured her." Salem replied.

Renamon scowled lightly as she remembered that memory. "I remember that time," she said softly, shuddering lightly. The several tests that they did on her was something that she never wanted to remember.

" I'm sorry that they did capture you. " Salem said solemnly. He didn't think he was involved in that but he wasn't sure.

"You weren't part of the people that captured me...or tested on me," Renamon said as she sighed softly. Shaking her head lightly to get rid of the memories, she smiled once again. "It's because I was there that we met Salem, and why you left, with me as your Bishie," Renamon finished.

Salem smiled at the memory. " I remember that Ren." He was glad his friend had a better memory than he did.

"Does that mean they were able to master the same technique that Renamon uses?" Yugito asked as she entered the room, her sensitive ears picking up the conversation from the other room.

" To an extent. Though I don't know what the side effects of that technique would be for humans if they used it." Salem said. He had been reading up on that technology in the files he had hacked.

"How far?" both Yugito and Zero asked. Zero asked out of military curiosity while Yugito asked out of the curiosity of wanting to try it out.
