" Bishies that belong to the School and assassins that they hired to follow us." Renamon said." We were too lax and it's my fault that Yugito got hurt." Renamon said.

"It's not your fault," Simon said automatically. "The main thing is that you and Yugito came back safely, and I'm sure that Alex would agree with me on that," he added.

Renamon nodded." It's going to be risky to go out again. I'm sure those bishes are looking for us." Renamon said as she eyed the screens.

Simon nodded in agreement. "And if you did, I have a feeling that those assassins or mercenaries wouldn't try killing you, after hearing how important you are to us," he said, taking in how tired she looked. "Why don't you get some sleep Rena?" he asked.

Renamon nodded. " Let me know if you need anything. " Renamon said and went to her room to get some much needed rest.

"I will. Sleep well, Rena," Simon said as he watched his Bishie head to her room hoping that she would get a long, and deep, sleep.

Renamon quickly fell asleep and hoped they all would be ready to fight if needed.


Michael hurried down the street toward where one of his sources said Alex was. He had to let him know that they were all in great danger. He saw the safe house and pressed the doorbell hoping someone was awake.

Simon heard the doorbell and sighed to himself. He was glad that he had rigged the doorbell to only ring in this area of the room, knowing that there would always be a person awake in there. Checking to see who was ringing the doorbell around midnight, he was surprised to see Taylor's friend Michael standing outside the house. Quickly making sure that it was the great detective, he pulled a switch that unlocked the door for him. He just hoped that he would come here first instead of walking into any of the other rooms.

Micheal went inside and went to the security room." I'm sorry about coming here so late, but I have some really important information." He said.

"What type of information?" Simon asked.

" The Scientists are all gone, but the School wants to look for Carly and Max. They have blocked all road that lead out of town and are keeping the town hostage. I planted a virus in their system so all communications go to my bosses. they'll be here in a few days, but I fear the School is getting ready to target the safe house." Micheal said.

"How soon?" Simon asked in alarm and concern, thinking of both Yugito and Renamon and their conditions.

" In the next week or so. I don't know the exact day, but we should be prepared." Michael said in a low voice.

"I'm not going to wake everyone up to tell them this note, but I will tell them tomorrow. Thank you for letting me know though Michael," he said, especially since he knew that Yugito and Renamon needed their sleep.

" You are welcome. Would it be alright if I stay? I know I can't go back after they were doing inspections. " Michael asked. He was glad he had all his Bishies with him and would help the others get ready for this fight.

"I don't see why not, especially since the School is probably going to be after you now as well," Simon said, assuming that the inspections the School were having would blow Micheal's cover. "I'll leave a note where Jean can see it, just in case she finds you while you're sleeping. She's usually the first one up for some morning training," he said.

" Alright. Is there anyplace free where I can sleep. I grabbed what I could before I left and I have medical supplies that you might need. " Micheal said. He hoped Alex or Taylor didn't beat him up for what he had pulled. He promised himself no more crazy investigations and would look for a quiet job once this was over.

"I'm not sure if there are any rooms left at the moment, though I do know that the couch is a sleeper sofa," he said. "Also, do you have any healing salves in that medical bag of yours?" he asked. He knew that Renamon said she was fine, but he did see all the cuts, scratches and bruises and figured that it wouldn't hurt to put something on them.

" I do. " Michael said and took out the salves he had. " I sort of cleaned out thier supply of salves. I think we'll be needing them more than they will. See you in the morning then. " Michael said and went to the sofa. He had his Bishies on the coffee table and felt guilty that he couldn't let them out yet.

"Thanks, and I'll see you in the morning Michael," Simon replied, glad to have a few of the healing supplies that Michael gave him. He knew that Rena said she was fine and all, but it would make him feel better if some of those wounds were treated...especially since some of those wounds looked a little more than just normal cuts. He also had a feeling that it would help against any bruises that she would most likely have. And if she didn't want to use them...well, it was the thought that counted, right?

Taylor woke up early the next morning and was wondering about where Michael was. He worried that his friend had gotten in to some trouble again.He would wait a little bit longer to get out of bed, since he didn't think anyone was awake yet.

Jean got out of the bed and stretched, not only to warm up but to also get any kinks out. Quietly opening the door to the room she she shared with the other female Bishies of Ark, the martial artist passed by Alex's room. 'I hope Yugito is alright. She lost so much blood...' she thought to herself, knowing that if she was just a few seconds later, then she wouldn't be with them today, silently cursing the Scientists and the School.

Yugito was feeling better and awake, but would wait till Alex woke up to get out of bed. She was glad that Jean had been able to save her the night before. She vowed to make the school and scientists pay for what they had done.

Alex slowly woke up with one hand around Yugito. He smiled to himself lightly as it seemed that even in his sleep he wanted to protect his Bishie, even if it wouldn't really help her in the slightest. He was glad that Jean had saved her. Not knowing that she was awake just yet, he figured to just lay there next to her, although the hand around her waist was starting to make circles on her stomach on its own.

" Hey! That tickles. " Yugito said sitting up. She was glad that Alex was awake but had a feeling there was another person in the safe house. She tensed up hoping they were safe.
