"And you think...our mom could have been subjected to that?" Carly asked, a little scared of the answer.

Salem solemnly nodded. " Carly. I know there has to be a way to alter those effects but I don't know what they would be. " He said after a while.

"Is there anyway to find out?" Carly asked, knowing that she would have to eventually break the news to Deanna as well.

" I can try and ask around. I know a guy who's a doctor and was able to reverse the effects. " Salem said. This man hadnt been a scientist but had been a researcher who Salem had helped in the past.

"Please? I'd hate to have to tell Dea the bad news..." Carly admitted, looking down lightly.

" I will I promise. " Salem said hoping he could help Carly and Deanna.

"Thanks," Carly said with a grin on her face. "So...how did you catch Articuno? I heard he was very rare," she asked, trying to change the subject.

"He is. Eve and I were in the park that Elisa had told us about and I feel through a hole that was covered in ice. I landed in some snow and went to look for a way out, and following a voice I heard. Turns out that voice was Articuno and he said I was his trainer.

" You see, I had been in that cave for a long time waiting for a trainer. I'm glad it was Salem and am looking forward to the future." Articuno said.

"I see. Then it's a good thing you found each other," Alex stated, glad for Salem now that he had a bishie of his own. "Though why don't you need the translator to understand him? Is it because you're his trainer?" he asked.

"From what Articuno told me , it is the reason." Salem said.

"Interesting," Alex replied, noticing that it was getting late.

" We should be getting back. I think we'll be here another day, it looks like another storm is coming through tonight." Carly said.

Carly nodded as well, seeing that it was getting quite late. "Salem, do you know where the stables are?" Alex asked.

" I do. They are a few blocks from here. " Salem said as he looked at the Bishiedex map.

" That's were the dragons stay. " Carly explained. " I'm sure you and Angelus will get along pretty well. " Carly said.

"Angelus is one of my Bishies and very kind, but she'll deny it to her final breath," Alex explained to Articuno.

Alex grinned lightly and told Articuno about Taylor and Sora, as well as all of his other bishies.

"I'm sure the girls will love you," Alex replied with a light chuckle.

Salem felt bad for having to leave Articuno alone, but knew that it would be a bad idea for the majestic bird of ice to head into the hotel room. "You will definitely see us tomorrow Articuno," Salem replied.
