"Well, I did find this Curry Shop earlier today. Want to try it?" Jean asked

" That would be great." Max said with a smile.

"Alright then, follow me," Jean said as she led Max to the restaurant.

Max followed and admired how nice the city was. She did like this place despite of what was happening.

Jean was impressed by the architecture of the buildings and wished that this place wasn't being run by such a tyrant. Seeing the restaurant in question in view, she motioned to Max to follow her.

Max followed and loved the spicy smell of the curry.

Jean opened the door and waited for Max to enter before letting the door close behind them both.

Max enterd and thanked Jean . She loved the smell of the curry in the air.

"You're welcome," Jean said as she let the door close behind the avian and then waited with Max to be seated.

" Please follow me. " The hostess said and lead Jean and Max to a table by the window. " Your server will be right with you. " She said and gave them menus before she left.

Jean nodded and followed her to the table that the hostess took them to and thanked her before she left. She nodded and said a quick "you're welcome" before heading back to do her job. Looking at the menu, Jean wondered what to get.

Max looked at the menu and wondered what to get. It all sounded good.

Jean looked at the menu for a few seconds and decided to get a plate of curry that was a little spicy as well as an unsweetened tea. A waiter soon came over and said his name was John before asking the two charming ladies what they would like to drink.

" I'll have a lemonade please." Max said.

"An unsweetened tea please," Jean said as John wrote down both orders and said in a polite voice that he would be back in a few moments with their drinks before leaving to place the orders.

Max decided she would get a mildly spicy curry . She liked spicy foods but wasn't sure how spicy it would really be.

John came back shortly with both of their drinks and asked if they were ready to order or needed a few more minutes to decide.

" I would like the mild Chicken Curry with rice . " Max said.

"I would like the spicy shrimp Curry with rice please," Jean said. John nodded as he wrote down the orders and to make sure he wrote them down right, he repeated them. Getting a nod from both females, he then said that it would be a few minutes before heading back to the kitchen and placing the order for them both.

"Max, if you don't mind me asking, how did you and Carly meet?" Jean asked her.

" We met by accident really. I was looking for one of my friends who was captured by The School. I was running from some of the agents and Carly let me hide in her hotel room until they left town . She also promised she would do her best to help me find my friend . " Max said.

"No offense, but doesn't that mean Carly is also a target by The School?" Jean asked in curiosity.

" As far I know she isn't . They think I'm dead. They don't target civilans, they would be exposed if they would target civilians. " Max said. It had been two years since that day and knew they thought she was dead.

Jean was about to say that she was glad that they wouldn't target Carly or Max but before she could say it, John came back to their table carrying both of their plates. Placing them down in front of the two, he wished them to enjoy their food.

Max took a bite of the curry. She thought it was great and not too spicy for her tastes.

Jean took a bite of her curry and was glad to see that it wasn't too hot or spicy for her tastes and grinned lightly.
