Jean grinned at that. "I'm glad you think so," she said before taking a sip of her drink.

Max also took a drink . Max decided she would take Carly here when this ordeal was over with.

Jean had a feeling that Max was thinking of her trainer and friend. She was lucky to find Alex and even luckier to hear that he was somewhat into hand to hand fighting like herself. She shook her head lightly at the memories that brought up and went back to eating.

Max continued to eat her lunch also." Thank you Jean for lunch." She said with a smile , a little bit later.

Jean nodded as she finished her lunch. "Don't mention it," she said as she took a sip of her tea.

Max finished up her lunch also. " So where next?" She asked.

"Well first we have to pay, then we can go out on the town," Jean said.

"Sounds good to me." Max said with a smile.

John came back and took the plates away. Coming back to their table he then asked both females if they wanted anything for dessert.

Max declined , still being full from lunch.

Jean also declined and asked for the check instead. John nodded and left to get the check for them.

Max was looking forward to seeing more of the town , but knew she had to be careful.

John brought back the check and explained that to pay for the check the person was suppose to bring it up to the register and then scan their Bishidex in order to pay for the meal.

Max got up , from the booth and waited for Jean .Knowing once the meal was paid for they would leave.

Jean got up as well and took the check to the register and did as John told her to do, using Alex's dex to pay for the meal. After that, the two of them left. "You okay Max? You seem a little tense," the martial artist said and hoped that she was okay.

" I'm alright . I get tense sometimes , but everything is alright. " Max said , feeling a little nervous around the guards that were in the restaurant. She knew they were here for lunch, but still was nervous around them.

"Are you sure? You can tell me," she said as she noticed how wary she was acting around the guards.

" I'm just a little nervous around the guards ." She said in a low voice.

"Is it because they have Carly?" Jean asked in the same tone, not wanting to give the guards any reason to trail them.

Max nodded . She would be glad when they left this place.

Jean nodded lightly and promised that she wouldn't tell anyone else about it.

" I'll wait outside , if that's alright. " Max said.

"That's fine," she said, knowing that her friend could take good care of herself. She paid the tab and after a few seconds of raised eyebrows, received the dex back. She had a feeling it wasn't often that they saw a Bishie pay for his or herself, but it did happen. Placing the dex in a pocket, she rejoined Max outside.

Max had waited close to the entrance. " Ready for some fun?" Max asked.
