I think I could watch Good Eats all day!
I love how the host explains everything in easy to understand terms and is often funny and makes me laugh out loud!

ghostPastry 02-22-2018 05:43 PM

yeah, totally!! i think Alton Brown has a really nice personality. :> although i do not like Cutthroat Kitchen. i still like him in it, but the competitors are just nasty to each other. :/

Ava The Vampire 02-22-2018 06:52 PM

I prefer the kids baking shows because the kids have such awesome sportsmanship.
I like Kids Baking Championship and Chopped Junior. The kids are great sports and they are so talented!

ghostPastry 02-22-2018 07:31 PM

yeah, that's true! i love whichever one Gordon Ramsay does, he's so great with kids. ;v;

Ava The Vampire 02-22-2018 07:35 PM

I love Gordon Ramsay... c:
I like watching Kitchen Nightmares and hearing him chew people out. :D
"It's RAW!", "DISGUSTING!", "YOU CLEARLY DON'T GIVE A F***!"

Oh, Gordon Ramsay... you never get old. xD

ghostPastry 02-22-2018 07:36 PM

right?? i love that he only yells at people who really deserve it.

Ava The Vampire 02-22-2018 08:26 PM

Yes, it's definitely worth watching!
It feels good to watch him get pissy with people who deserve it.

I love it when everyone says, "He'll love our food!" Then he tries it, hates it and every time, they are shocked.

Inzanebraned 02-24-2018 12:16 PM

I really like the Kids Baking Championship, but sometimes I get a little emotional when they disqualify a baker...I get sadder than the kid that's sent home!
I was attracted to the show because of Valerie Bertinelli...I remember watching her when I was a teenager on One Day at a Time...then she married Eddie VanHalen.
Other than being a little on the heavy side, she looks just like she did back then.

hummy 02-25-2018 11:11 PM

I wouldn't be able to cut any of the kids

For-Chan Cookie 02-26-2018 02:27 AM

Sure you could hummy, just get a knife and give them a little slice! [twisted]

*runs back into the ether from whence she came*

hummy 02-26-2018 02:29 AM

Cookie! From whence you came, cometh back

For-Chan Cookie 02-26-2018 02:39 AM

*peeks in* I dunno, it's almost my bedtime. I got a new job. A new stressful job that requires me to go to bed at ridiculous times. But it pays way better.

hummy 02-26-2018 03:07 AM

Oh, that's great. I'm really really happy for you I hope you love the job and you climb to the top baby!

For-Chan Cookie 02-26-2018 03:12 AM

If it stops being ridiculously stressful, that would be nice. It's just that they give us three weeks of training and everyone was like "That's a lot of training!" and no, it is not enough. They already have us doing the job and we're just not properly equipped. The job is being bungled by all the various newbies they have running around because it's not enough training to just toss us out to handle things. Even if you have someone wandering around answering questions. I want to work for this company, but I am making a very big frownie face at their training.

Anyway, night night times for cookie! *blow kisses to hummy bummy*

hummy 02-26-2018 04:05 AM

I know you'll be the best cookie good luck

Amane 02-26-2018 07:55 PM

Ah, if only I knew how to cook!

hummy 02-26-2018 08:00 PM

YouTube it. You can teach yourself

Amane 02-26-2018 08:04 PM

I found an absolutely adorable Korean baking channel.

Also, in order to learn to cook, I would need permission to use the stove.

hummy 02-26-2018 08:13 PM

Ask for permission and follow one of the Korean Cooking Channel videos

Amane 02-26-2018 08:16 PM

And then mother would oversee everything I do, and she's so critical of me I'd be like, man, screw it.

Then again, I'm more tolerable of extensive instruction and criticism when I have no idea what I'm doing.

See, teaching me requireth mother to feel like teaching me, doing the parts she doth not think I should do yet, and cleaning up. Which taketh quite a lot of energy from her.

hummy 02-26-2018 08:24 PM

Do something simple and easy

Amane 02-26-2018 08:30 PM

Like boiling a pot of rice‽

hummy 02-26-2018 09:00 PM

That would actually be a perfect thing to do

For-Chan Cookie 02-27-2018 01:57 AM

Just call Uncle Ben. He'll help you out. [rofl]

hummy 02-27-2018 02:05 AM

Uncle Benny's boil in bag
