I'm REALLY into Ao no Exorcist. My friend recommended Tiger and Bunny, so I'll watch that and see if I like it. I definitely want to do fanart of Kuroshitsuji and Hetalia. Then I'll probably do a few classic ones like Sailormoon. I'll consider other series like Fairy Tail, Death Note, Naruto, and so on.
Two more papers to go before this class is over and done with, lol. Then I'll definitely have tons of time to work on art. Along with any downtime to doodle. I have been sketching out two comics since the beginning of the summer, but who knows if that'll ever get done. |
tiger and bunny? that sounds interesting and cute. like that commercial for....something. netflix I think. I swear everyone but me had read kuroshitsuji and hetalia! I'm at least familiar with all the hetalia characters because I read fan pairings. I loved fairy tall! that would be cool to draw art from.
ooh cool! how long are the papers? what are the comics about? only comic i've been working on is a gag creation of mine at the prompting of my roommate called 'Merwolf'. |
It's actually about superheroes. I watched about half of the first episode...basically they compete against each other while they're fighting bad guys to get points...kind of like a sport? I didn't expect a series with the name Tiger and Bunny to be about that. xD
I can't believe I'm saying this...but the dub for Hetalia is actually funny...in a good way. It's probably the only series where I prefer the dubs over the subs. I had to cram Kuroshitsuji down my friend's throat, and now she's a bigger fan of it than me, hahaha. I just wanted to see it with someone and share a series with her since we haven't found shows we both like in a long, long time! One of them is actually the story I was thinking about expanding on for Nanowrimo this year. It's got a superhero-like theme...which really made me crushed to know that Tiger and Bunny is pretty much about that, haha. I don't want people thinking I made it because I had seen it, because I had only just NOW found out about that series. I was actually writing and drawing the manga as kind of a gift for my friend since she's really into DC and Marvel comic stuff...and beyond the Spiderman, Superman, and Batman cartoons, I never got into them. As for the other one, it's actually a fantasy project I'm working with my friends. They haven't harassed me enough for my pages, so I've been...slacking. ;D I'm going to make sure there's a lot of pages done before either series gets released on a webcomic host, hahhaha. |
Kat is a popsicle. kat saw much snow today.
very unexpected, but still interesting. I usually listen to dubs because i'm very lazy. mostly I listen to whatever I find first. I plan to watch it some time, but I have a lot on my plate right now. my roommate wants to shove it down my throat. she's in love with it. that sounds really cool. superhero stuff makes good comics. I was never really into it, but its still cool. and woot for homemade presents! so you're the sort that needs lots of poking and prodding to work? me too. |
O_O Whoa, snow! :D That's so awesome! ...Wait...aren't you in Arizona? *blinks* I thought it was rare for it to snow there! Haha, that's too cool.
Dubs are convenient, but if the voices are particularly bad, I can't sit through them. ~_~; It's okay and I enjoyed it, but it wasn't the best show I've ever seen. Like, I'm loving Ao no Exorcist. It's funny, has moments where you're like, homg no WAY!!! and it's very dramatic. I just prefer shonen anime. But anyways, Kuroshitsuji has aspects I love...such as all the bishounen. But the pacing and drama is very slow for me. @[email protected] I'm still a big fan, don't get me wrong. xD I've always been more into homemade presents. xD I have to give out art this year since I'm poor now. >_> Actually...I forgot about it. It's not nagging at me as much as commissions or artworks I want to finish. So if they don't go HEY YOU GO WORK ON IT NAO, then I don't remember to sometimes. 8D |
wrong state. new mexico. and I don't consider snow as awesome....unless class is cancelled.
I have very high tolerance for things like that. well, I have high tolerance for pretty much everything. I don't really watch any anime anymore. I just keep up with a few yaois I was reading over the summer and that's it. I'm giving out art because I don't know what else to get people. I have a cool drawing planned for Wingsy that I should start some time. haha. i tend not to forget my projects. I just put them off and start new ones. >.> |
I'm hoping this darn place will snow. Supposedly it doesn't where I am. Have to go further east. Blargh.
I have a high tolerance for physical pain...but hearing cringe worthy voices really grates my nerves. xD I wish they would just make normal voices instead of, in some cases, trying to mimic Japanese ones. I used to read a lot of manga...now I just have no time. It's like wikipedia or cracked.com. I go from one page to the next to the next to the next...Then I find myself at the end of the series and it's a couple hours later. xD I just watch anime while I eat dinner. xD I know it'll only be about twenty five minutes of a break... I have them organized in folders...and I have this problem called, if I don't see it, it doesn't exist. Out of sight, out of mind. Even happens in real life. =_= I forget I have food if I don't see it. But it's nice when I discover it! Something to eat. Woot! Anyways, I've stayed up too late tonight. Grah. @[email protected] |
if it doesn't snow over night and get classes cancelled, I'm going to cry. maybe skip my morning class.
I have high pain tolerance too! mostly I'm just a very patient, tolerant, and not easily ruffled person. really high pitched voices bother me though. I can't stand high noises. interesting. I'm just lazy. I NEVER forget the existence of my food! its why it never lasts long. gone in a day! |
Hopefully it did? I hate it when snow doesn't stick to the ground. 8D Fun to play in AND a snow day? Win.
You must not like children. /teasing Most series I like are over twenty volumes. xD A lot more work than watching a twenty five episode anime. 8D Then again, I tend to like art and stories more in manga. I cook and most food I buy is in bulk. Maybe if it was something I could just eat on the fly...then yeah, things won't last in my room. xD |
there was snow on the ground, but I still had to go to class!!!! :gonk:
I don't.... I find myself living off oneshots because they're easy to read. and some are freakin genius! I never have food around so it gets gobbled when there is some. |
*rolls through*
*noms on TK's guitar* <3 |
hey ari! wassup?
|
Eh, not much. You?
|
I'm in the middle of writing a personal essay based on how Menewsha has changed my life.
|
@Kat: I love it when I'm in a place that isn't used to snow...and it snows. Snow an inch in Texas where I'm from and they'll shut everything down. xD /exaggeration
There are definitely some really talented people out there who can wrap up a very nice story in like fifty pages. @Arikana: *takes basket and munches on the fruit* <3 |
that's not an exaggeration.
I love it too. I like stories where there's not much there, but read between the lines and you find a whole novel in it. |
How is your essay going? Interesting topic. I'm never really comfortable talking about my internet life in real life...unless people know what avatar forums are about, they just...don't get it? >_> I need to find more people in real life who have things in common with me...
|
Hey peoples! :glomp: I should be doing homework but I don't feel like it right now, so I'm on Mene and watching Vampire Diaries instead.
TK, I'm the same way with talking to people about the net who I don't talk to online, or whatnot. I got a lot of odd looks about the fact that I flew half way around the world to meet someone who yes, I had met online, but it wasn't like we just talk online (we hand write letters, send birthday/holiday parcels to each other). She's like my sister (I do consider her my sister), but I actually met her on Gaia, when I was 16 if I'm remembering correctly. But we now talk mostly on Facebook, and through our hand written letters to one another. :) I'm actually considering giving her a call for Christmas. :) As my mother still has a calling card that they used when I Was down there that still has minutes on. :) But really honestly when people ask me where I met her my first answer is "It's very round about and kinda complicated... and a long story." :XD Because I don't feel like going into everything because they always have way more questions for me which just drive me insane. If that makes any sense at all. |
Hehehe, hi Hope!
Wow! That's great! I mean, I've become really good friends with...three people thanks to deviantART and their personal art websites. We've talked, sent each other art, letters, and gifts. So I can relate! I think it's nice that you were able to make such a good friend through Gaia! :D Ohhh my gosh. >_<;; My roommate is fighting with her fiance...she's screaming and throwing stuff. I'm too scared to leave my room. >_> |

Hey TK! ^_^
Yeah, I was just freaking nervous when we were getting close to Melbourne. :XD It was kinda like "Um, not sure what I'm doing.... can I have a do over?" :XD But it was oh, so worth it! It was so worth the insanity of the flights, but by the time that I got back home, I was so sick of airplanes and airports. Mom was like "Do you want to go and get something to eat?" and I was like "I just want to get out of the airport. I'm sick of them... can we just go home?" :P By the time that I got there I'd been awake for far too long, and in airports or in planes for like 25 hours.. I think? I just know far too long for one to stay sane, but life is fun, with a bit of insanity, right? So great to finally get to meet her in person, and get to see the world that she sees. And get a chance to travel. <3 That is cool though, that you've gotten a chance to get to meet people like that. People ask her and I why we send things by hand, instead of e-mailing. It's just awesome fun to get things in the post. And we also print out photos to send, and the reason that we do that is 'because we can'. We tease each other with going "I'm doing this and this and this... and I've got an idea for your b-day/Christmas pressie, but I'm not telling you, but so and so is helping me so they know." :P I'm super excited to see what she's posting me for my birthday! Hehe! The third or fourth day that I was down there we ended up talking for what felt like ages. We totally lost track of time and I was up till like ten thirty pm (which basically was around 5:30 am back home) - but it was good to just be able to talk to someone who will actually listen. :) Yeah, but if someone told me that at 22 I'd be flying solo over to Australia to meet an online friend, who I've never met before, or even heard what she sounds like (I love her accent btw), I'd not have believed them. Oh, wow! I'd be scared to leave as well! >.< ((And sorry, my fingers ran away on me...)) |
I finished my essay and it's great, tori! want to read it? its mostly like crack on paper.
|
Crack on paper... so it's so good you can't get enough of it? >.>
|
hell yes! it's candy-induced insanity!
|
Sounds like a fun essay Kat.
