The model looks great :) I just have some suggestions. up to you if you use them or not.
lighting: hard to tell but that looks like a simple spotlight, have you considered using a 3 point lighting system on your model? If it already has one I suggest maybe upping the intensity on the directional lights. Something else I've done with models is placing them inside of a nurbs sphere and use a nurbs cylinder as a base. I mostly do that because I like the dramatic affect of light hitting the interior of the sphere (granted the focus of a beauty shot is your model so some prefer no shadows) but the background would also gets rid of the aliasing seen around the parts of your model that didn't have a background. I also like using nurbs for these sorts of beaty shots and turnaround because when doing a vector render of a model the nurbs won't show up as tris/quads. It just gives a nice clean edge that doesn't distract form the model. up to you. I'm not sure what guidelines you have to follow and who knows, your teachers might not appreciate any of that at all. |
