Keyori 02-16-2012 08:18 PM

YEAH TEAM MENE!

That looks really great! I wish I could pixel... =A=

xuvrette 02-16-2012 08:29 PM

Keyoriri, EVERYONE can pixel.
*nods*

Keyori 02-16-2012 08:35 PM

Okay: I wish I could make pixel shading look halfway useable for mene avatars >3>

All I've pixeled is Yumeh poop and Jelly won't use it ;_;

If I had a program that I knew how to use well and supported transparency, I'd be inclined to try to make tutu-type petticoats. That would be awesome

APBCole 02-16-2012 08:51 PM

I can't pixel worth a damn. Tried to learn by tutorials but I had to PAY to see the rest and learn the technique.

FML. I might actually buy an e-book on pixeling at some point so I can do it on Photoshop at school.

PS: I'm better at texture designs. Because it's easier and could be used for a variety of things.

xuvrette 02-16-2012 08:59 PM

Colele... what tutorial it is? Pay to see the rest? Kawaiihannah's one is enough. Then the rest just practice.

Keyoriri, what programme are you using? Paint?

APBCole 02-16-2012 09:04 PM

Digital Tutors tutorial on pixeling. I know the basics of curves, how to make a circle, and correcting any specific thing to make it look much better.

Still hate it though...

Keyori 02-16-2012 09:09 PM

Right now I'm using Sketchbook Express. I can't pixel with it though, because zooming in blurs everything. Dumb, but it works for the art I'm doing now.

Otherwise I use Paint.NET, but I'm still not used to it. I was a Photoshop whiz at one point, but that was nearly 10 years ago xD AND one that came with it... Illustrator maybe? that I even used to re-tool animated gifs into OC's. I wonder if I can find any of those files...

I tried GIMP but I couldn't ever get the hang of it.

I use MS Paint for really basic stuff, like cropping. Not worth booting up Paint.NET for that. It doesn't support transparency though so most of the time I don't bother with it.

xuvrette 02-16-2012 09:11 PM

There is a GIMP version that mimic the Photoshop layout. Maybe you could try that.
Neverheard of sketchbook express...sounds like SAI type programme to me. Traditional art type.

Colele, Kawaiihannah's is not on HOW to draw circle.... hers also have the more important, SHADING.

APBCole 02-16-2012 09:12 PM

I don't care if it's on shading but the technical term for it is DITHERING.

Link pl0x?

Keyori 02-16-2012 09:17 PM

Sketchbook Express is for tablet PCs. And it's FREE 8D

I found the hard drive that would have all my super-old art on it, but now I'm looking for the cables to plug it in >3>

It's an old hard drive. It has a power supply xD

xuvrette 02-16-2012 09:26 PM

The type of the shading is call dithering. So it is still a shading.

Tablet PCs? Are they good?

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 02-16-2012 09:37 PM

Keyooo~ I went to your art posty.

Mmm, I've been using MSPaint for my little pixel things and edits. XD

Keyori 02-16-2012 09:44 PM

We have an ASUS Transformer. It's neat for what I use it for, but I'm not a fan of the type of touch screen it has. I like the kind like what a Nintendo DS has (I don't know what they're called or what, specifically, the differences are, but the styluses between the two are not the same and are not interchangeable... I like the DS stylus better than the one for the Transformer, which has more of a squishy tip).

Makes it really hard to make fine details :/

I just made myself lol when going through my old photobucket albums.

My family is interesting.

Sorry I missed it. It's this month's CI. George the Alpaca.

*falls down on thread*

Headache....headache....headache....

I've been getting alot lately. It sucks...

Keyori 02-17-2012 12:42 AM

YESSS I finally found a tutorial exactly how I wanted! AUGH way too many tutorials focus on hair and eyes.

Where'd that name come from?

...And and and, I wanna eat your signature~

@APB: Sorry to hear about a headache. :o I've been getting them often these days too. One moment I'd be fine, the next, a jet of pain shooting up across my skull and throbbing. :headdesk:

APBCole 02-17-2012 12:46 AM

*hits head against wall of the thread, trying to rid the headache*

Meh! I wish there was someway to make them magically disappear...

Keyori 02-17-2012 12:51 AM

Is it a sinus headache? I tend to get a few of those this time of year. I can usually shake the feeling with an aspirin and some sort of decongestant.

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 02-17-2012 12:51 AM

@Nim-san: Nightmare. ;DD

-stuffs a spoonful of curry rice into Nimmy's mouth- :B

@Keyo: Show eet!

And those are funny pictures. XDD

Keyori 02-17-2012 12:52 AM

I warn you, this thing is flippin gigantic.

Hah, I'm glad you like them! I live with a bunch of dorks, and it rubs off on me. xD

APBCole 02-17-2012 12:54 AM

@Keyori: I've had sinuses for a few weeks now so yes....*keeps banging head against the wall*

Just took a tylonel but it feels like a train just hit me...

Keyori 02-17-2012 12:56 AM

Ugh, those are the worst x_o

I've had 'em bad enough that I had to do one of those rinses with saline solution... Most physically uncomfortable thing I've ever done to myself.
