Draw, Rasa, draw! [eager]

@Nim: Hahah! Those are funny. [lol]

Antagonist 03-01-2013 04:24 PM

Yeah, though probably not so funny in real life and we were the ones in the situation. My poor heart! [lol]

xuvrette 03-01-2013 08:05 PM

... Canyon?
I thought it is the whole Pacific Ocean... -__-;;

and if it is Canyon, then it would be Anta Canyon, Xuv Canyon and OYG Canyon. *wink*

MurasakiCrown 03-01-2013 08:13 PM

Finally going to start coloring this thing:
http://puu.sh/2aq8A
Mostly when I work, I only make a rough sketch and colors. Then work on one layer. lol; I don't know. Some things are just easier that way. I can finally feel productive. ;;

xuvrette 03-01-2013 08:24 PM

Yay for Productivity...

...
Anyone here use Photobucket?

MurasakiCrown 03-01-2013 08:25 PM

I haven't used it in what feels like a million years. I just use puush now. lol

xuvrette 03-01-2013 08:32 PM

I can see that... XD I checked your art's properties. XD

What programme you using?
I love chibis, adorable proportion and pose.
Who is that?

MurasakiCrown 03-01-2013 08:41 PM

That's my mascot. Calling her Murasaki for now, I suppose.

For lines and coloring, I use Paint Tool SAI. I go to photoshop for any text I may have to put in there, and some additional adjustments if I feel like they're necessary.

xuvrette 03-01-2013 09:00 PM

Yay for SAI~

Now I have to wait for one 'client' to respond to my sketches before I proceed. DX

Oh, and I figure the problem with photobucket. XD
My browser is not updated enough to support tha ultra brand new Photobucket's system. -__-;;

Hey all! Happy Friday! ^^ how was your day?

OnYourGoat 03-02-2013 04:03 AM

I just dump stuff on my dA BI

Whispering Whispers 03-02-2013 04:31 AM

hi guys, im back, had to get laptop fixed, took two weeks, im so low on drawing inspiration that it's totally not funny.

xuvrette 03-02-2013 04:31 AM

Whiswhis can do other things that can inspire you?

Whispering Whispers 03-02-2013 04:43 AM

I am not sure what else would inspire me. I have looked up art, watched shows, been patient (its been weeks) I haven't done art in awhile, and I have been reading alot like crazy. Even writing my original story. But, still nothing.

Drakina 03-02-2013 04:50 AM

Hrm, well, there's a 30 day art challenge thing, and it's been helping me. Another friend's been putting it on our whiteboard, so I don't know where t find it. Pretty much, though, it's just a doodle a day, with a different theme for each day. Think that might help?

xuvrette 03-02-2013 05:07 AM

Different people are prone to be inspired by from through different things. Just need to find that cliche!
My inspiration comes more often than my motivation though. XD So I am more to cultivating motivation than thinking about ideas.

Nephila 03-02-2013 05:18 AM

yeah... I started the 30 day monster girl challenge. Well, I got threw like 6 of them XD FAIL!

Whispering Whispers 03-02-2013 05:18 AM

I get ideas off whatever catches my attention more than anything else really.

It might help, I do like to have a time limit to do things, I would have to think more on it tomorrow. I am so tired. gonna go read some more.

xuvrette 03-02-2013 05:53 AM

The inspiration I am lacking would be... coursework. XD
It just is difficult when it is put on bar to be tested and judged by other people. x.x
I am in disadvantage because I don't know what lecturer wants. x.x

Bahh--I'm so sleepy and dizzy today..

Bubble 03-02-2013 08:31 AM

The best way to deal with blocks (to me) seems to be being stubborn about it and keep working even if it doesn't look good. You'll get out of it on the upper end because you'll improve while dealing with it.
This video may also help you feel better about what you're going through, right now. :)

That looks really great, OnYourGoat! Awesome! :D

xuvrette 03-02-2013 08:47 AM

That is huuuuuge, OYGG. XD
and Again, I really love the strokes. And it is realism! very awesome.

OnYourGoat 03-02-2013 10:09 AM

^^'' Sorry... I use a a big file size half the time.
But thanks.

MurasakiCrown 03-02-2013 06:19 PM

I tend to work in large file sizes even when I know I'm going to shrink something down. It looks looks sharper and nicer that way, at least to me.

When I'm going through an art block, I listen to the music that usually gives me ideas. I look through tutorials I have saved up and just copy. I look through the work of artists that inspire me, the kind of people that make me feel like drawing in the first place. It's probably not going to work for everyone, but it's what helps me feel motivated even when the things I draw aren't going my way.

If you ever feel like you can't execute an idea, or just want to learn or copy something, I recommend this blog here.

xuvrette 03-02-2013 06:35 PM

Wow... I never really had been inspired by music at all... hmm...
