Eramthgin's eyes brightened at the sight of the gold. "Aha, so you still have some." He quickly stashed it away to keep it from prying eyes. "Well, I've never worked for the king myself, so I don't suppose I would know, but then again the king is a king after all, so I guess he'd pay more than other usual jobs." |
Fiona smiled softly, "You of all people should know I wouldn't give it all away." she said with a smile. "He pays well but the work is really really hard." she said as they continued to walk. She looked about the streets, seeing more people in need then ever before. "When did it get this bad?" she asked Eramthgin.
Fiona looked to the table where the different potions sat. She watched him pick out several potions. Fiona loved watching Gin at his work, he was very interesting the way he chose them all very carefully. "I agree we need to be ready for anything." she said softly. Fiona looked around to make sure Gorge hadn't found them. "Do we really need him?" she asked hoping that Gin would say no. |
He made a face at the mention of hard work. "Yes, well, one would be a fool to pay a high price for a simple job...and the king is no fool. Or he wouldn't be the king." He handed over a few gold pieces for the bottles of health and mana replenishing potions he had selected, along with a couple bottles of cure disease. It wouldn't do if one of them should fall due to a simple illness just because there weren't any ingredients around to make the cure. "I'm not sure, there's been a lot more people around in the area for a while. I mostly kept out of the way and stayed indoors. And yes, unfortunately we do need them," Eramthgin said after tucking away the bottles into his potions' pouch. "I've encountered many who have lost limbs or their lives because they didn't have the right potion at the right time. While having a healer would help overcome a good deal of the problems we might run into, it's still better to be safe than sorry." Noticing Fiona's wary glances, he decided they should probably leave the area, just in case. "How about going for a drink? I know a place where someone like Gorge wouldn't ever consider. He'd say it's too...posh." ...They had a few gold pieces left to spare after all, so why not indulge a little bit. |
Fiona smiled at her dear old friend. She was happy to have him back, "That sound nice." she said smiling at him. He always knew how to make things better when she was upset. She looked to the merchant and smiled. She then looked to Gin. "I wish we could find LeeAnn. I fear the worst, has happened." she said as she took a few steps away from the mertchants tent. "Where is this tavern anyway?" she asked with a smile.
