Seth lead her back to her room. Well more like followed her and then bid her a goodnight. He just wanted to make sure that she made it to her room, and didn't fall asleep in the hallway. Once she went into her room Seth headed back down stairs to start with the party clean up. He wondered where the two party throwers had run off too.
Amber inhaled the air, she could smell, feel it, taste it. It was like it was a part of her. She always feel like nature was a part of her. " It is somewhat hard to imagine" She mumbled. Her eyes stared at the sky as lightning seemed to dance across the sky once more. Suddenly she heard Scott chuckling, and she wondered why. She turned to glanced at him, and found that he had wrapped an arm around her. Her face was red yet again, and it seemed that whenever she was around him this was going to be the new trend. Her eyes widen with his kissed her cheek. Scott was confusing her. Jean was watching the two of them from her window. She wasn't happy, Scott said he wasn't sure how he felt, but the facts was all right there in front of her. She glared, she didn't like Amber, she hated Amber. She wanted her gone, and as Jean's angry rose the items in her room rose of the ground. She seemed to snap out of it and things went crashing to the floor. " What is wrong with me" She mumbled. She glanced out the window again, as lighting went off again and hit the ground near a tree the duo was standing at. |
Looking over his shoulder, Scott realized with a start that most everyone at the party had gone to bed. Shaking his head, he started back inside. "I guess we'd better clean up," he mumbled, sighing as he went about picking up cups, plates, bottles, etc. It amazed him how impossible it seemed for them to find a trash can to throw their garbage away in. Eventually, he stood up, trying to crack his back, and saw Seth, whom he nodded to.
"Yuuko in bed?" he asked, carrying several dishes into the kitchen to be washed. |
" Oh yeah" Amber said nodding. She followed him inside, and went about cleaning up. She noticed that many students left the place and mess, and just had gone to bed. Amber started talking what food was left into the kitchen and putting it away. She was still wearing Scott's shirt. She was loving wearing it. She also loved the smell of the shirt. She was glad that he hadn't asked for it back yet.
Seth spotted a shirtless Scott, and raised an eyebrow at that. He was sure he saw Amber walk into the kitchen wearing Scott's shirt. He wondered what they two of them had gotten up to outside. At this rate they were really going to convince everyone else that they were dating. " Yeah, she went to bed just a bit ago. She seems to have had a lot of fun" He said. |
"Well, I think I might follow her example," Scott said, yawning himself while drying some dishes and putting them away. Everything looked better, and the decorations could wait until tomorrow to be taken down. "I'm glad that she had fun though. Do you think she forgives us, Amber?" Honestly, he hoped so. Having a hostile Yuuko was a scary thought. Almost as bad as tainting little kids with the evils of the world. Okay, now he knew he needed sleep. Him and philosophy? Forget it.

Seth tossed the few bags of trash away. After that he went up stairs and changed into his pj's. After that he climbed into bed and was out for the night. He had fun today, which was unexpected because most of the time it was very boring here.
Amber had just finished putting everything food wise away. The place looked so much cleaner now. She figured and hope that they could wait till tomorrow to take down the decorations. " I think so Scott. It's not like Yuuko to be angry at anyone for a long time. " Amber told him with a smile. Yuuko didn't seem to hold grudges against anyone, and recovered pretty quickly when she was upset with someone. Amber yawned slightly, she needed to head up to bed. |
"True, but, 'Hell's wrath hat no fury compared to a woman scorned'," he quoted, scratching his head afterwards. "Though I don't suppose Yuuko really counts as a woman. And she does have the childish tendency to forget things like that. Eh, what does it matter? I'm bushed. See ya tomorrow!" And then he was up the stairs and in the bathroom, taking care of dental hygiene before heading to bed and crashing on the mattress. He was out like a light.

Amber watched him and listened to him speak. She figured that certain saying had nothing to do with Yuuko. If anything he should be more concern about that when it came to Jean. Yet Scott seemed to be clueless when it came to those kind of things. " Night Scott" She said. She turned off the lights up stairs before heading to her room. She pulled of Scott shirt which wasn't really wet, and then the rest of her clothing. She put her clothing into the hamper, and put on her normal pjs. She stared at his shirt for a few moments, before putting it back out. So tonight she figured she could be the cliche of a girl, before she returned it tomorrow. She smiled and climbed into bed before falling asleep.

Rising groggily, Scott rolled out of bed before heading into the bathroom where the shower awaited. Fifteen minutes later, he was shaved and refreshed, ready to start the day. Seeing as how most of the others were still sleeping, and they should at seven-thirty in the morning on Sunday, Scott decided to just make his own breakfast, pulling the eggs out of the fridge. Shortly afterwards, the smell of frying onions, peppers, ham, and eggs wafted up through the mansion.

Amber woke very earlier, she hadn't expected to wake up at 7:30. She could smell food wafting up through the place. She assumed someone was up cooking, she wanted to walk down there dressed in her pj's but she couldn't. She changed out of her sleepwear and got ready for the day. Once she was ready she headed down stairs, carrying Scott's shirt which was folded. She needed to return this to him. She walked into the kitchen hoping he'd be there.

"Oh, good morning, Amber," Scott said, looking up at her when she walked into the room. She still looked tired, and even amazed that she was up in the first place. He saw his shirt in her hands, and frowned. Had he really forgotten to get that back last night? Cripe he had been stoned with tiredness.
Chuckling, he offered her some eggs while taking the shirt. "Thanks," he said. "I was wondering what happened to this. I was so tired last night I didn't remember to turn my light off." And it had been a trying day. Hopefully Yuuko would stay asleep. She wasn't a whole lot of fun to be around when she was cranky, though that was rare as well. |
" Good Morning Scott" She said. Well at least it was him who saw her first, then she wouldn't have to explain to anyone else why she had his shirt. " Oh thank you, and thanks for lending me the shirt" She told him. She smiled at him, she was still glad that he had forgotten to ask for it back. " Yeah, sorry I forgot to make sure to took it when you went to bed" She told him. " Oh I see, did you at least sleep well?" He asked.

"Don't worry about it," he said, rising to wash his plate in the sink before drying it and putting it away. "I'm pretty sure I slept well. I mean, I left the light on and everything, so I must have just passed out." He was glad to see Amber was out of her funk from the night before. It had been almost as weird as being yelled at by Yuuko. For some reason, he just thought of her as his baby sister, and baby being close to literal. The way she acted, and the whole diapers thing, just reinforced the image of her being young, and it stuck.

"That's good" She said. She finished her meal, before washing the plate after Scott washes his plate. Amber wasn't sure what to do now. She was up very early for her self. She wondered if they would have training to do. She looked around and noticed the decorations " Oh, I guess we should take those down" She said. She went to get the step stool to start. She set it up and started working on pulling down streamers when she slipped and was heading backwards. " Oh whoa" She said.

Nodding in agreement, Scott started taking down decorations at the other end, humming softly while he did. It certainly was a pain in the butt though. But, he was nearby when Amber fell, so he darted his hand out and caught her, setting her down before sighing in relief. That could've been ugly. "Didn't think to use air, huh?" he asked, chuckling while he guzzled water from a glass. "Storm wouldn't be very happy with you, you know."

Amber flushed red slightly," Opps" She said. She gave a small laugh," It just I was so surprised." She told him. Plus she had a feeling if she had tired there, being so shocked her powers would have out lashed a bit more then they needed to. " Anyways thanks for catching me." She said. She looked around, they still had many more to take down. " Alright, time to get back to work" She said. She wanted to focus on getting this down.

"No problem," Scott responded, smiling while he went back to his work. They really needed to get this done, and it would take a while. But he braced his shoulders and got to work. They had done it for Yuuko after all, and if cleaning it up was the consequence, then so be it.
About forty-five minutes later, they were done, and Scott was watching a segment on the news. Apparently a new disease has broken out in Japan, who closed their borders to try and keep it from spreading until they knew more about it. So far, three have died. "Hey, Amber?" he called, turning up the volume. "Have you seen this?" ((Probably my last post for tonight, sorry. :))) |

Amber nodded, and got to work. She hummed and sung a bit as the worked together. Soon everything was taken down and packed up or thrown away. They only threw away what wasn't reusable. Amber went to put away the step-stool while Scott went to watch tv or something. Amber heard Scott call her. " Seen what?" She asked as she walked into the living room. She stared at the tv in surprised. " No I haven't seen this before. This sounds terrible, I hope it won't get worse" She said. As she watched the news story, she had a really bad feeling about it. |

"Yeah, you're telling me," Scott responded, staring as they showed the horrific images of the dead victims. These were the types of things he would never have shown Yuuko in a million years. Each one was missing skin, swollen, etc. It was truly an awful disease. And they haven't even isolated it yet. It could kill millions before they figured out what it was, and billions before they stopped it. Shuddering, he clicked off the television and stood, stretching. "So, what do you want to do today?" |

Amber watched the tv starting at the horrifying scenes. She sat on the couch, looking rather pale. That sort of thing was horrible, and she had a feeling it was only going to get worse. She was glad that when Scott turned off the tv, She couldn't get those images to go away. She turned and looked at Scott," I...I dunno." She told him. She was still worrying about the poor people in Japan. She bit at her lip wanting to push the images away. |
"Do you want to go study for that Physics test we have?" Scott asked, concerned. The news must have really upset her. Suddenly, Scott made a decision. Maybe it was rash, but it needed to be done. And so, he found himself hoping fervently that Amber would say yes to the study date. He was tempted to tell her it would be okay, but he too had a feeling that things were just going to get worse before they got better.
Slipping through the shadows in the predawn light, Arthur slipped by the security systems, sending a magnetic pulse at them on the way by. They gave off a satisfying number of sparks as he moved on, causing him to grin. His hood and scarf covered his face, while a long windbreaker, underamor, and jeans, all of it midnight blue in camouflage patterns, hid the rest of his body. He truly was adept at what he did. The mansion was well defended, obviously. Mutants, especially wealthy ones, wouldn't want anyone discovering them by accident. Using the gutter as a ladder, he scrambled up to the second floor, the one his target lay on. His powers were unclear to even him, but he knew that he could manipulate electromagnetic forces, and spread his atoms thin enough to pass through solid matter before rearranging himself on the other side. In effect, it seemed his powers were designed to make him a better assassin. Phasing through the wall, he looked up and down the hallway before progressing. An annoying kid gave a startled gasp when his eyes caught him, but a jab to the throat had been enough to leave him laying on the floor, immobile as the statues. After a few more moments, Arthur had located his target, picking the lock and slipping in without a sound. She lay on the bed in a patch of what was obviously urine, fully clothed. She was sound asleep, which made his job much easier. A baby bottle nearby gave him an idea, and a few moments later, he had emptied it and poured in the sleep medicine. It would keep her out for a few more hours at least; plenty of time for his employer to do what needed to be done. A few moments later, he was outside the mansion on his way downtown, the girl slumped in the back seat of his car. ((Dun, dun, DUN! :lol: I figured we needed more drama!)) |
Amber looked at Scott, and blinked. She was still very pale, she had forgotten about the test that they had. " Oh I had forgotten about that. Yeah, let's go study" She told him with a small smile. She stood up, ready to go get her books and things. It would be better to focus on things that she could actually take care of. Instead of worrying about things that she couldn't change right now. " I'll meet you back here in about five minutes" She said. She left and headed up the stairs to her room.
Yet Amber didn't far to her room when she spotted the kid on the floor. She rushed over looking around for what could have hurt him. " Scott, Scott! get up here, we have a problem" Amber said. She put her fingers to the kid's neck trying to see if he still had a pulse. [[ Oh dear, how are we suppose to save her? Also, we should have a villain one day after Amber, elementals are very strong forces to have on their side...XD. ]] |
Internally cheering that Amber had said yes, Scott went to get his own books, dropping them when he heard Amber call his name. In moments, he was upstairs, staring down at the kid in disbelief. The boy's eyes were blinking, and he looked terrified, but he was still breathing, so he should be fine. Probably just paralyzed temporarily. Regardless, Scott let Amber take care of that while he went and checked on ever student, rousing them to have them help.
The last room he checked was Yuuko's, and he was hoping greatly that no one had been injured. When he didn't see her in her room, he started to panic. "Has anyone seen Yuuko?" he asked. The negative response sent chills up his spine. "Get someone to search the gardens! Preferably by flight!" Praying hard that she hadn't been taken, he made his way over to Amber. ((Logan could find her with his nose, if necessary. ;))) |
Amber found that the boy was still breathing, and blinking in fear. He just couldn't move, there was nothing Amber could do to help him. She was glad when Scott was there, he went to check on each students. She then told a strong student who came by to take the boy to the infirmary. Amber stood up, wonder what exactly had happened. Then she heard Scott asking about Yuuko, and most students saying they hadn't seen her. Amber watched one of the students opened the window and fly out of it, checking to see if Yuuko was out in the gardens.
Amber looked to Scott who had walked over. " I had a student take him to the infirmary, Yuuko the only one unaccounted for?" She asked him. She hoped the girl was outside. If not Logan might be their only help at finding her. The girl who flew outside reappeared at the window. " She's not out here" she said. Seth walked out of the room when he heard Amber screaming. He had to wonder what the heck was going on. He then spotted the student on the ground. He veins ran cold when he heard that Yuuko wasn't in her room. She wasn't even outside either. He was worried now, he had to wonder where this girl was. |
Maintaining his calm visibly, Scott spoke clearly, but loud enough for his voice to carry. "Wake Logan, gently, and ask him to see if he can scent where the person took Yuuko," he ordered. "And get fliers and other people with a great sense of smell on it too! Go!" In a few minutes, everyone was darting around, suiting up and otherwise prepping to go on the rescue mission. Of course, Scott would only take a few people with him, namely the X-men.
Driving slowly and cautiously to avoid being noticed, Arthur pulled out the can of Axe. In minutes, he had sprayed her with half of the stuff. It only went over a layer of Odo-ban, which was designed to kill the scent of death wafting about her. Or so he had been told. With Axe, she would smell like just about thirty percent of the entire population in the awful city, depending on what scent they decided to wear. Regardless, it would help him get her away unnoticed. In a few more minutes, he was parked outside of an abandoned warehouse. Yeah, cliche, he knew. Locking the doors to the small black sedan, Arthur hauled the tiny girl, who weighed less than a bag of dog food, inside the big room, the only illumination being the computer monitors and such against the far wall. He flicked the lights on with a roll of his eyes, aware that his employer was currently sleeping. Taking care, he set the baby girl down on the chair before tying her in securely. The stone dangling from his wrist he pocketed. Who knew what she could do with it? In moments, however, he had his boss up and awake. The old man, who was probably quite insane, was flitting around here and there, performing a variety of tests before plugging the information into a computer. Arthur just pulled out a Rubix Cube. He knew from experience that his boss would be a while. |
The students nodded, and Rouge went to wake Logan. It was best that she went since he didn't take well to being woken up, and Rouge was more likely to live through it. Students scrambled around getting the fliers and other students who'd be helpful in looking for her. Seth wasn't happy and he knew for sure he would be going with Scott to find her whether or not he wanted him there. He went down to change into his uniform.
Amber nodded and went to get ready, she passed another student and told them to get Jean. She would be one of the best to bring along, if Logan's couldn't find her exact place, Jean would be able to try and reach out for the girls thoughts. Amber quickly changed into her outfit, and went to find Scott looking for his orders. Jean didn't know what was going on, until a student sent by Amber filled her in. She normally would be jealous, that Amber was doing was she used to do, work along Scott side, but the missing student was more imporant. She changed and rushed to where the rest of the X-men would meet. |
