Hi, my name is James~ And welcome to my thread, in which I am attempting to find just the right RP partner to RP with. Wow I'm saying RP a lot so far. RP RP RP. Okay now that that's out of my system (I'm weird at 4:30 AM, you're going to have to excuse me.)

Okay, I've been RPing since I was about eleven or twelve. I'm not entirely sure. The point is, I've been doing it a long time. I think I'm pretty darn literate! So I would very much like to find someone around my level to RP with. I can generally tell how literate a person is by how the respond, so keep that in mind if you respond to my thread!

If you post here, I do not guarantee that I will RP with you. I have a relatively busy schedule, and I'm a part of a game on Livejournal that is my top priority, and will always come first. No question about it. I'm sorry, but it's my RP home, and everyone there is like my family.

There is a possibility I will have to drop RPing with you to deal with life. Please understand this if you want to RP with me. Please. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings by suddenly dropping a thread with them. Only respond to this if you're okay with that.
And also I ask that you be patient, as response time during RP with me can vary, depending on how busy I am, and how into the RP I am. If you don't mind waiting more than two days sometimes, then great. If you do mind, then... I'm sorry.

I do not tolerate Mary-Sues, or Gary-Stu's. I've spent the last 6/7 years of my life making sure my OCs are realistic. This means they do have their flaws, their strengths, weaknesses, and histories. If we Roleplay, there is a good chance you will not know everything about them, due to a combination of one or two of them not entirely wanting to talk about themselves, and due to the fact that there's just so much about them and it would take too long to even get into.

If you're still reading this, and haven't X-ed out because you think I sound like a total douchebag, then thank you! It's very good to hear that you don't think I sound like a douchebag. I'm really not, I swear. I just have a lot going on right now, and if I'm going to invest more of my precious time, I want it to be worth it. I want the right kind of person reading this.

Anyway, let's get onto to the things I do and the things I don't do.

Things I will RP:
Horror (Zombies, Murder Mysteries, etc. Vampires only if you're lucky. You must present a good plot and convince me it won't be anything like Twilight.)

Magic/Fantasty (Sorcery, D&D-esque, etc.)

Yaoi/Yuri. (But I won't do it just for the sake of doing it. I will only do it if it's realistic. I will not do it just because you find it hot. My only non-straight OC is currently a bisexual teenage girl, whose biggest idea of romance is recreating the spaghetti scene from the Lady and the Tramp. She doesn't even realize that she is bisexual, as she's too busy being friends with people to actually think about that kind of thing.)

Slice of Life/School (This includes twists, such as powers and the like.)

Various AU's set in different worlds, such as Harry Potter. (More info on what I mean by AU is below.)

I can't currently think of anymore genre's. If you have ideas, then feel free to toss them at me.

Things I won't RP:
Most Fandoms. (I'm not a part of that many. It's likely I won't know the name of that Anime you want to RP. I also don't have a huge grasp on most canon characters, though I can if I try, so of course I can do minor characters to advance the plot and the like. I do best with OCs.)

Twilight

Real Person Shipping/RPing in general. (For example, I am not going to RP Justin Bieber falling in love with your character. Or anything involving real people. Ever. No.)

Incest. (I... can't think of when it would realistically come up. At least not with my OCs? So no, I'm not going to RP it.)

Okay now that that's covered, let me tell you a tiny bit more about my characters. They are originally from an X-men evolution RPG, so as such they, under normal circumstances, have mutant powers.

However, they aren't strictly confined to those kinds of scenarios. They are in fact quite adaptable, using a method called an 'AU'. This means transplanting them from their universe, and putting them in a new universe as if they've been there the entire time.

For instance, I've written many stories in which my characters go through a zombie apocalypse, go to Hogwarts, and so many more. That's the great thing about AU's. So I can do pretty much anything with them, easily. However, I tend to do this in a way that does not screw with the canon in which I am putting them in.

For instance, if I were to do a Harry Potter AU with one of you, it would ideally be set in the future so that no canon characters are there, and no events would be able to be screwed with. So that means none of them interacting with Harry, Ron or Hermione.

Now that isn't to say I'm against dealing with canon characters. It greatly depends on the scenario we're RPing. If it's necessary, then yes I am capable of doing it to further along the plot, or to add spice to the environment, etc.

Also we don't have to strictly RP any of the things listed up there. If you have an idea, I will hear it out, and decide whether I would be interested or not! And if you absolutely positively want to use canon characters only, then... We'll discuss it, but it would be extremely unlikely for me to agree.

However, for your benefit, I will provide a list of canons I know and think that I can RP from using canon characters.

I'm interested in RPing with you if you'll give me a chance. I have been RPing for about three or four years and consider myself a pretty good writer. I prefer original plots over fandoms and will RP almost any genre. I'm especially fond of Fantasy and Slice of Life. I go out of town most weekends (Friday-Monday) and therefore will not reply, however if I can I will try to reply before I leave or the second I get home. I write as much as I possibly can every time I post which is normally about a paragraph or more. It depends on how much my partner gives me to work with. I have no issues with playing the opposite gender. Both of my OC's are bisexual. I have no particular plots in mind, so please throw anything out there. I hope you do decide to RP with me because you sound like a good partner. If not then thanks for thinking about it and i hope you do find a partner worthy of you :)

I think I'd like to do something big. I'm doing a lot of RP's that are pretty standard, popularXunpopular, serial killerXvictim, pirateXcaptive, ect. ect. I think it would be interesting to be a patient in a mental institution. It would be fun to have momentary lapses into delusion.

I was so scared I came across as a huge jerk, and that I thought I was better than people, which would put people off. I really don't think I'm better than anyone, or think I'm super awesome and godly. I just take RP very seriously, and since I have very little time, I want to make sure it counts, y'know?

And hey, that idea sounds pretty awesome! I wouldn't mind trying it out. We could include other patients, though one would be the main character of sorts, along with one of the workers, yeah?

Would you prefer playing the main character patient, or the worker, by the way? I think I might play the worker better, rather than the patient, though I wouldn't mind playing some of the other minor, more background patients as well.

I understand quite well actually. I tried to do the same with my first request thread and I got two replies. One RP died and the other never started. In the end I simplified it to what it is now and now I have sevaral RP's that I'm completely in love with.

ohmygoodness we're going to work well together. I'd much rather be the patient because I think it will be terribly fun to have posts where I can just ramble on about the crazy things I see and hear. Being a crazy peson is just such an intruiguing opportunity. Now for the big question, Plot?

Is this going to be a romance where I fall in love with someone, if so is it a fellow patient or a doctor? Or shall we be adventurous and break out of the mental hospital and be fabulously insane vagabonds?

It really is unfortunate when RPs die. I've also sadly been the killer, just because I've dropped some. I am absolutely hoping I won't feel the need to drop this with you, as I think it's going to be fun!

And what if we did both? I think we could fit both in. I think the romance thing could be really fun in this situation, either between two patients or a doctor. I think I'm leaning towards it being a doctor, as that seems slightly taboo and in my mind taboo = fun for the whole family.

Or just the two of us. xD

And like, there could be a small group of patients that manage to break out, and the doctor is the one to round them up because he/she is worried for the patient, as well as his job being at stake. Or something. The idea in my head is still rough, but what d'you think?

Sadly I've had to kill a few myself. The worst part is that the one RP that I truly loved was killed by my partner. Then it lived for three more posts before it died again. It was a tragic event. I agree though I think this will be a truly momentuous RP.

hehehe very true, I like it. Okay so mental patient falls in love with doctor. Patients escape hospital. Doctor retireves them for fear of his beloved patient as well as his job. I believe by the time we get that far into the RP we will have more ideas for how to continue with it. Good things develope over time, mostly. XD

The only question I have is for the main characters, mXm mXf or fXf ?

Oh I completely agree, we shouldn't plan this toooo much, since that leaves no room for creativity whilst in the middle of RP. Though it's good we've got the basic premise, that'll allow us to expand even further. I'm really excited!

And let's see... If you don't have preferences either way, I think I would prefer mxf. I've never really RPed mxm or fxf before, and while it's essentially the same thing overall, I would feel more comfortable sticking to what I know. If that's okay. I mean, if you want mxm/fxf I think we could work something out~

Shortly after posting this, real life decided to start kicking me in the ass, as well as a few other things, and it's looking like posting this is turning out to have been a mistake. I don't have time for private RPs like I thought I did. I'm really sorry!

nimh- Like I said in my message to you, if I get delayed anymore I think the best thing for both of us would be to cancel those plans. I honestly just don't want to string you along with a bunch of maybes, because that would be really unfair. I'll let you know in a few days if I'll be able to do it.
