Kari followed Temari back into the room and laid on the air mattress. It felt nice, but she couldn't sleep away from Gaara. She tossed and turned, but couldn't find rest.

Temari along with her brothers had already gone to sleep. Temari was always tossing and turning throughout the night. She couldn't sleep well since something in the past kept it from her. Kankuro was always having nightmares and if he woke up in the middle of the night, it was almost like talking to a zombie because he wasn't awake enough to do anything about anything. Gaara was lying there awake, thinking it was boring but it was better than sleeping at this time. He laid on his side as he waited for morning to come and night to pass.

Kari was sick of just laying there and walked to the den. She grabbed a random book off a shelf. It was Temari's favorite romance novel. She read til she even found that boring. She wished to see Gaara, but didn't want to bother him atthis time of night. It was rude to wake people, that was one manner she knew. She sighed as she was incredibly bored.

Gaara slept soon enough and when the morning came, the sun peaked through his window waking him. He stretched as he smelled breakfast being made, 'Must be Temari' he got up out of bed changing into his usual clothes and went the kitchen only to find Kankuro making pancakes "Where is Temari?" Gaara asked as his brother shrugged "sleeping probably" |
Kari ran to Gaara the moment she saw him come in the kitchen. "Gaara! I missed you so..." she suddenly fell asleep standing up agianst him. She'd not slept all night.

(I was thinking maybe that they could go on a mission or something with Lee and Katana or maybe they decide to adventure out of Suna to give Kari a break)
Gaara wasn't surprised to get a hug but was when she fell asleep "Someone didn't sleep well" Gaara spoke and picked up Kari "I'm going to put her on the couch" Gaara spoke when he turned around to face Kankuro, Kankuro took a picture "You know I'm going to kill you for that later" Gaara spoke and walked off, hopefully he didn't use that to blackmail Gaara, he wasn't in the mood to kill at this moment. He sat on the couch holding onto Kari so that she could sleep at ease. |
((wait all of them go on a mission? Or just the siblings, Katana, and Lee? Theirs not leaving her behind are they? Sorry I have blonde moments.))
Kari gathered the much needed sleep and felt happy to be around Gaara. She slept for about four hours and then woke up feeling much better. "Thank you Gaara-kun. That was very sweet of you to watch over me. It made me feel safe." |
(Kari, Gaara, Lee, Katana, It can be a mission or a vacation like mission)
Gaara had fallen asleep with her on the couch, Temari and Kankuro were in the kitchen talking about random things like siblings did. "You're welcome" he spoke sleepily laying their somewhat sitting up and her on his lap with his arms around her so that she wouldn't fell off the couch. He laid his head to the side, against the back of the couch still tired. |

Kari laid back down and went right back to sleep. It was so comforting in hos warm arms and she knew she could sleep in complete safety. |
Temari and Kankuro got called out so they just left like they always did, the Kazekage wanted to see them and so after about two hours they returned "Gaara, Kari get up" Temari spoke standing in front of them "We have to go now, the Kazekage is onto Kari and we have to get her out of here before they come here lets go, lets go, lets go" Temari spoke being serious trying to rush them out the door "We have to get to the entrance quickly come on" Kankuro added in making it sound like he was serious and worried at the same time.
(FYI they are just playing this joke to get these two away from Suna and out towards the leaf village to meet up with Lee and Katana who are on a mission as runaway kids lol) |
Kari grabbed her few possessions and ran out the door, dragging Gaaraalong behind her. She was terrified and plunge deep into the woods, following Temari and Kankuro. This was the worst moment of her life. She didn't know what was going to happen. She had hated the lab, but at least there she was sage from death.

Temari and Kakuro looked towards eachother "I can hear them coming, you need to go, we have to get back, Gaara keep her safe" and his siblings were gone. Gaara was bewildered but picked up Kari and sped off faster with their things in hand and his gourd. After a few hours of fleeing and almost halfway to the leaf village itself, Gaara stopped to put her down and to sit down himself taking a break. He wasn't sure why anyone wasn't following them, he assumed that kankuro and Temari took care of it themselves. |
Kari looked at Gaara sadly. "You didn't have to come with me you know. You shouldn't have to leave your home for me." she had to wonder how the Kazekage had found them out. He must have been a smarter man than he was given credit for. She had always heard he wasn't very smart. He had, after all, failed at having his son murdered. How could you fail to have a 5 year old killed? Even if he was a demon, you had to be stupid to not be able to kill a child.

"Eh, its alright, we'll have to figure out whats going on though" Gaara spoke as Lee and Katana sped by "Hey Lee! Wait up!" Katana stopped in her tracks spinning once while her feet were firmly on the ground creating dust to rise up and when it cleared she was standing there tilting her head "Oh hey, its Gaara" Katana spoke up realizing who she was in front of at that very moment. "Who is the girl?" Lee asked running back and stopping without a problem. "Don't mind him, I'm Katana, this is Lee, and you are?" Katana was an overly nice person for the most part as long as it wasn't a time that she was normally pissed off for some reason but she normally was optimistic. She could be the complete opposite if she wanted to be, some said that she would be worse than Sakura or most of the villains they met because she would become cold and ruthless.

"I'm kari" she awnsered. She was hiding behind Gaara shyly. She was very afraid of everyone at the moment.

"Don't worry about them Kari, they're nice. They're friends from the Leaf Village" Gaara spoke standing up next to Kari "We need to get away from Suna, do you think Konoha will be willing to let us stay for awhile?" Gaara asked as Katana spoke "Yea, but we're on a mission as runaway kids, want to come with us?" Katana asked.

Kari trusted Gaara as he told her these were friends. She wondered if he'd want to run away with this kids. She certainly didn't mind running away with Gaara whatever he decided to do. She liked him a lot and felt all giddy around him.

"Sounds tempting, maybe we will, whats the mission?" Gaara asked as Katana smiled hugging Kari "Hello!" Lee explained "A bunch of runaway kids are disappearing and we need to blend in so that we can find these kids ourselves and help them out." Gaara nodded "What do you think Kari?"

Kari smiled broadly. She liked this girl Katana and was sure they could be great friends. "Lests do it!" she said and grabbed Gaara, pulling him into Her and Katanas hug. She also pulled in Lee' "Group hug!!!"

Lee took a picture, Katana laughed "Of course you would have a camera with you" Lee always had one, best person to catch people off guard and fastest to get away, besides their sensei. Katana was taught about a month with Kakashi but complained as it wasn't enough and got transferred to Gai's team. "So shall we get going? We're playing run away kids but those who are couples so they can't pull us apart easily" Katana replied linking arms with Lee.

Kari blushed, really wishing she and Gaafa were a real couple. She slipped her hand into his, trying to see in charactor:

Gaara agreed, it wasn't real dating so he would be fine with it for now, Gaara took her hand as they walked. Katana started asking Kari what was her favorite color and such like that. Lee kept trying to keep Katana calm "We never should have gave you sugar today" Lee joked shaking his head and Gaara was laughing on the inside, thinking it was nice to have friends like them.

Kari answered the favorite color question a bit to quickly. "I like teal." she said quietly. Then she blushed and wished she'd chosen another color. Teal could easily describe Gaara's eyes. She really felt so nervous around him for some reason and it was really beginning to show.

Just as they were walking a group of boys and girls being as couples appeared and started walking towards them. "I didn't see them Lee" Katana spoke to Lee as she waited for his response and even Lee knew that they weren't normal. "Oh look dears, children" one of the females spoke. Lee took his hand in Katana's, it may have been a childish thing but she hated being called a child.

Kari wrenched her hand from Gaara's and went to walk beside Lee. She was far to uncomfortable being around the redheaded ninja right now. She looked really flustered and wanted to cry from embarrassment. It was so horrible, how she felt around Gaara. It made her jumpy and shy. She had never liked someone so much before. She had always closed herself off when she started to like a guy. She was now doing that to Gaara. Excluding him from her and not being as open with him. Before now she would have already told him what was bothering her. Bow she was avoiding him as much as she could.
