"Kari, stay with Lee, Gaara you'll pretend to be with me" Katana spoke getting ready just in case, she took Gaara's hand as Lee took Kari's "Do not be afraid Kari, I will protect you with my life" Lee was always like that. The couple of people in the adult group asked "Are you on a camping trip?" the female with brown hair up in a bun wearing a kimono of brown and green asked the children. "No, we're just walking around a bit" Katana smiled cutely "Oh but its far too dangerous out here. My name is Salene" "I'm Kata, this is Lee, Karin, and Gara (Gare-uh)" Katana smiled "Well, where are your parents?" Salene asked as Lee answered "We don't have any, they died a couple weeks ago, we do what we can to get by m'am"

Kari busted out crying the second Lee said their parents has died. It might have seen like she was just putting on a show to the others, but she really was upset. "I-I want to g-go home!!" she wailed. She hated this all. She wanted to run away and hide forever. She wanted to stay away from Gaara. Her emotions had become to strong and she had pushed him away from her completely. She hadn't talked to him in a little while, and now she wouldn't even look at him. It may have seen like she even hated him, but it was because of the fact that she liked him so much that she was pushing him away. She believed what Yashamaru had told her. Only she could love herself and no one else.

"Sorry but we're not going, it seems to me like we're heading back to our village" Katana spoke up as the woman chuckled with the group behind her "Once you know our names you cannot leave" Salene spoke as she moved closer grabbing Katana's wrist "Lee, mission is over, let us end this, Gaara watch over Kari" Katana spoke pulling away as Salene spoke "Little girl has some strength" "More than that old hag" "E-e-excuse me?" Katana pulled away and kicked up towards the sky as Salene jumped out of the way in time "You're not normal children are you?" the man in the back known as Rae had spoken up almost in fear. Lee looked towards Kari "Do you want me to stay with you?" Lee was going to make it her choice. Gaara looked sad almost when he saw Kari crying, his sand started to move on its own, but, this time he wasn't going to hold back.

Kari's chest moved up and down as she sobbed her heart out. "Lee I want to go home!!! I don't want to be here..I don't wanna go back to suna..I wanna go with you and Katana to be somewhere else." She knew that this might hurt Gaara that she wanted to be away from him, but she was feeling to much for him that she was sure he couldn't ever feel for a creature like hwe. She wanted to get away for him before he could find out how she felt and then hate her for it. It was sad for her to think of never seeing him agian and she sobbed even louder and harder. This all seemed like a horrible nightmare. She was embarresed that she had exploded in ront of them all, but she REALLY liked Gaara. She should have run away from him a long time ago, but she had ignored how she felt for so long that it had become a devolped feeling that was extremly strong. Maybe she should just go back to the lab she thouht. Maybe they could wipe her memory if she begged hard enogh. Then she could forget him and how she felt.

Lee watched Gaara walk over to her and went to help Katana in the battle. Gaara moved so that he had his arms around her and for some reason, even with a battle going on, or people being around them he didn't care as he quickly kissed her on the lips for at least a moment to allow it settle in. Once he broke from the kiss he blushed looking away slightly. He hadn't really kissed someone before, someone tried to kiss him before, one succeeded, but that was a last goodbye as this was his first real one. "I don't want you to leave" Gaara mumbled.

Kari looked at him. He didn't want her to go? Surly this couldn't be right. She was a burden, an extra mouth to feed. She had to be watched and looked after and often did things that were annoying. He wanted someone like her to stay. "Y-You don't want me to go?" she sniffles as she dried up her tears. "B-but I'm a bad creature and I take up space..and.." sje continued to ramble on about how she was worthless.

Gaara shook his head and pulled her in kissing her on the lips to stop her from rambling on. "Don't go, don't leave me alone" Gaara spoke, Katana and Lee had finished up but were talking so they could give Gaara and Kari some time alone. "Katana?" Lee asked as Katana tilted her head a bit curiously "Hm, yea?" Katana replied. "Why do you always go on missions with me every chance you get? We always get paired up and I think its a bit odd" Lee answered as Katana spoke "Um..." Katana grew silent.

She kissed him back. "Ok. I won't leave you. I promise." she wrapped her arms around him tightly as if she were afraid he might leave. She really wanted this to be real and to last.

"Katana, what is wrong?"Lee asked as he looked down to her, she was only about an inch or two shorter than him. Katana was blushing "D-do you really want to know?" Katana asked trying to stay calm as Lee nodded "Yes" Lee had responded. Lee stood there, Katana thought of different ways to say it, but, in the end it ended up in Katana quickly reaching up placing her hands on Lee's shoulders and kissed him on the cheek "I like you alot"
Gaara looked at Kari "Don't say or do that again okay?" Gaara knew if he lost Kari soon, it would hurt him alot, almost as much as when he was a child but he would still lose control no matter how much that he had. (Thanks, I changed her personality a bit) |
Kari agreed not to speak like that agian. She loved her Gaara. She snuggled up to him and smiled gently. "I love you." she whispered softly.

"Uh not to disrupt you two, but, are we doing this mission still or what?" Gaara asked looking at the awkward two friends of his. Katana regained herself "Nope, there was never a mission here" Katna spoke and Lee was like "Wait what? But the Hokage said..." "This was a vacation for us as to pretend it was a mission, you were the only one besides them that didn't know. We are to go camping" that is why they had everything "Do you wish to still go camping guys?" Katana asked as Gaara stood unsure of what to say and Lee was silent as well. |
Kari blushed as she thought of camping with Gaara. Many fantasies filled her head. "Kantana..can I be in a tent with Gaara?" she asked shyly. She really wanted to be around him and have alone time with him.

Katana looked at Lee, she was slightly blushing as well but hiding it a bit "Yea, we only have two tents anyways" Katana didn't like tents, it was easier to sleep if someone attacked you and you were in a sleeping bag. But, then again, who would attack them while camping, its not like wherever you stepped a booby trap was placed, otherwise no one would ever leave their villages. "Come on, its only a mile till we get to the water fall" Lee spoke taking Katana's hand and pulling her along as Gaara took Kari's hand in his. Once they walked far enough Katana and Lee set up each tent, they were across from eachother but at a good length in case someone would want a private talk. Katana went out to get water, Lee went to get some fire wood. Gaara stayed at the campsite sitting at one of the trees and pulling Kari to his lap "Are you alright now?" Gaara asked Kari. |
She smiled and nuzzled him. "Yes. I never thought you would ever feel that way for someone like me. It makes me happy." she really felt the best she had in her whole life. She was cared for and that meant a lot. "What do you want to do while were here? If you want, we could hike later or swim or something.." she wondered what Gaara would like to do on a camping trip. She liked sitting in his lap like this. It made her feel like there were butterflies fluttering in her stomach.

"I don't know, I've never been camping before" his siblings and himself never really left the village unless for a mission or chunin exams. Katana caught up with Lee after getting the water "Hey Lee, do you think you could start something to eat? I have to shower and change" Katana asked as Lee spoke "Of course I can, afterwards we will clean up too" Lee stated in his usual calm tone when talking to friends and not a so hyperactive reply. |
Kari looked shocked. "You've never been camping? Even I did that! I had to sneak out of the lab and it was kind of lonely. Camping by yourself isen't very fun. She dragged him to a pond and got into no more than her underwear and bra. She stripped him down to his boxers and pushed him in, jumping in herslef right behind him. She giggled like a school girl as she swan in the cool water. "Catch me of you can!" she yelled and swam of to the deep end.

Gaara was dragged to a pond, stripped, and pushed into the water, his sand doesn't do well in water and he wasn't in danger except the fact that he couldn't swim and sunk underneath but eventually figured a bit out on his own. He smiled a little laughing at the fact that it felt nice and that she was saying to catch her if he could. So he took her on and started to swim after her but underwater.

Kari hadn't seen him go under to try an catch her. She screamed, fearing he was drowning. "GAARA!!" she screamed.

Gaara surfaced taking hold of Kari by her waist from behind "Caught you"

Kari turned around in his arms so she was facing him. "Don't scare me like that! Jeez!" she kissed his lips softly, to show that she cared and had been worrid about him.
