Griffin flew through the forest, a smaller god in pursuit. Both laughed and he soared at speeds even the gods found reckless. The smaller god was his little brother. He was only 14 years old. He had black wings and hair, the exact opposite of Griffin. The younger ruled death while griffin ruled life. They got along quite well, despite their differences. Neather of
The boys had drank from the cup of immortality yet. They would drink of the cup when they turned 18 in human years. Griffins brothers name was Alexander. He was called Alex for short. The boy chased him faster and faster and Griffin became concerned for the boy. "Alex! Slow down! You'll get hurt going that fast. His brother laughed. "Shut up Griffin! You just don't want me to catch you." the younger ran into a large tree and Griffin gasped as golden blood spilled everywhere. "Alex!? Alex! Wake up!" he screamed and shook the boy. At that speed, he could die. They were not as weak as humans, but going 600 miles per hour was dangerous for anyone. |
" Jack stop!" The curly haired blonde screamed as an a older guy pushed against her. " Oh come on you know you want this too." The boy said. Debs groaned and shoved a knee into the boys groin. He yelled and bent over just to get into contact with her knee again. She took him by the hair and ran his face into the tree. " Is that a big enough clue" She said.
She walked off and pulled out her electric cigarette she had used only in desperate times like this" She pulled a long drag and breathed out. As she walked teh forest she heard another boy yell out. It sounded like an accident occurred. She walked faster still shaking from what had happened and saw to boys. " Hey what happened?" She said her eyebrows furrowing when she saw the seen. |
Griffin gaspe as he saw a human girl who had somehow seen him. Maybe he no longer had the veil. He was usually covered by a dark magic veil by his caretaker. They were very far away and he wondered if the magic had not been able to reach this far. He wondered what she was thinking. The blood of gods was a shiny gold, not the rich red of human beings. He gave her a small glare as he thought of how exactly he would tell her what had happened. "We were racing and he ran into a tree. We were going faster than we should have and he smashed his head pretty hard.." he looked for a response and felt extremely nervous. Young gods like him and his brother were often used by humans for there blood, which was, just as rumored, pure liquid gold. They were often used to harvest the precious substance. He wondered if she was like that. His wings were folded behind him and he tried hard as he could to hide them. He was afraid of her, despite that fact that he was much larger and stronger. It took a lot to bring down a god and it was highly unlikely that this girl was capable of a thing like that. Griffin needed to get his brother help, and fast. If that head wound wasn't wrapped, he'd bleed to death. It was a terrible thing to think of. "Can you help? He asked her weakly. He would have to trust her for Alex's sake.

As He spoke She stared at the liquid that poured from the " Wait so your blood is gold... And you have.." She crept just close enough. Her body shook. Her eyes widen and she looked as if she wanted to scream. " I knew I should have dated a pot head... Now I 'm seeing angel... dammit" She said then heard the question " Yes I am sure I can. I must be dead anyways... It's the only way I could be seeing you" She said ripping her pink under shirt and tightly wrapping the boys head. Some how she lost her cigarette and the color off her face.

He gave her an odd look. "You're not dead..and we are far from being angels. We are gods. Young ones, not immortal, but gods none the less." he wondered why she was so freaked out. Shed become rather pale he had noticed. It was hard to be afraid of her when she was so terrified of him. He saw that she had ripped her clothing and created a bandage. He didn't know why he hadn't thought of that in the first place. He gently picked up his brother and thanked the girl. Now he needed to get all the way back to where their guard was. It would be a long, hard trip and it was getting closer to night. He figured maybe he could ask on more favor."Could we stay at your house tonight? I'm sorry to ask, but it's a long, hard trip back to our protection and I don't want to be stuck in the forest at night."

" Gods...rright..." She said still sitting on the ground. She check one last time for teh bandage and stood up. The sound of the boy made her believe that she was indeed not dead " Debs... where the F*&% are you. You owe me now" he called out in the distance. She gave a shiver looking even more terrified.
" Yea sure... My house isn't that far" She said pointing the way. "I Live right at the edge of the forest by the water. My parents are not around often so I can use the company anyways. " She said giving him a chance to get his brother before walking off |
Griffin carried his little brother and followed the girl in front of him. He was grateful that she had allowed them to stay at her place. His brother was healing very fast and the gasp was already gone. It was the great thing about being a god. He was awake before they even got to the house. Griffin set him down and allowed Alex to walk on his own two legs.

She walked them to the end of the road where her house stood out by the dock. A small boat with her dog Mick sat on the shore as they passed " I hope your not scared of big dogs. My Boxer won't hurt you." She said as it came around and nudge for her hand. Not even looking at the other two
She then walked to the house and opened the door. " The bedrooms are upstairs. The one on the left is for you to use tonight." She said guiding them though the Warm Cherry wood flooring. and up the stairs. She pointed to a small door at the end " That is the bathroom" |
The two boys looked at the dog. Griffin, being a god of life, loved dogs. Alex was a god of death and didnt care for things that breathed air, unless they were humans or gods. He had no soft spot for animal. They didn't like him either. Griffin walked to the end of the hall and he and Alex entered after thanking her. It was fairly large by human standard, but for gods, who were pratically royalty, it was tiny. Griffins closet was larger than this whole room. He didn't mind though. The beds were rather comfortable and it was a pretty room. He was highly thankful.

Debs watched them and leaned onto the door. The older one was cute when she actually looked at him. " Well if your hungry. I can make a good potato salad..." She said to try and be more welcoming.

Griffin looked at Alex who spoke. "Thanks! That would be great!" his little brother said smiling. Griffin gave him a 'she just saved our life and you should be grateful' kind of glare. "That's quite alright. I wouldn't want us to be any trouble." Griffin was trying to be polite and didn't want her to have to do any more for them. She'd already done a lot to help them. He hated it when Alex only thought of himself. They could skip a meal and live. They'd be going home tomorrow and then they could eat til they were stuffed. Maybe he'd invite this girl to his home to have a meal fit for gods. It seemed only fair he pay her back for helping them and saving Alex's life.

"Well are you sure?" She said smiling now " Your brother seems hungry...And it would be nice to eat with company. Your not troubling me at all" She said glad that the younger boy was fine. " Now um may I at least get your names?" She said pointing at the two.

Griffin looked sceptic, but finally agreed to eat with her. "My name is Griffin and he's Alex." he expliained. "What's your name?" He asked curiously. Alex bashed him o the head. "Hey! I wanted to introduce myself you jerk!" Griffin rolled his eyes. "You're so childish." Alex had a really good come back that he knew would get under Griffin's skin. "Well you're such a flirt!" Griffin blushed scarlet that contrasted the all white that covered him. "Take that back!" He hissed and jumped on Alex. His little brother laughed. "Make me lover boy!" Griffin growled. "I just met her you prick!" Alex was laughing really hard and trying to sling Griffin off of his back. he was enjoying how angry he'd made Griffin with the simple comment.

Debs stared with a shocked look. But as the jokes came and the sight of Griffin blushing started to make her laugh. The more they picked at each other the more she did. After a while she calmed herself she clapped her hands to interrupt them still giggling to herself " You guys are cool. But we should eat. And You can call me Debs" She said scratching her head.

With the mention of food, Alex slung Griffin on the bed and ran to the kitchen. Griffin chased him and managed to fall down the stairs. "Ow!" he whined and Alex smirked from above him. Griffin jerked his little sibling down to the floor and they started wrestling. In the process they ripped off each others shirts. It looked like a gay guy fight. Alex was laughing, but Griffin really was mad about the earlier joking. They both looked at Debs and relized how akward the scene looked. Griffin was laying on his back and Alex was straddling him. They bothe blushed and stood, glaring at each other.

Watching them she shook her head " I am glad the two of you are alright." She said. She glanced at the front windows and saw a figure. He was coming. She groaned and walked into the kitchen to make the dinner she promised. After only fifteen minutes the hot food was on the table. The knock on the door came then. He was stalling a good bit... She thought as she set the last of teh plates. " You boys go ahead and eat. I have a guy who reject... again"

Alex dug in and started to eat and Griffin ate in a rather elegant way. He was careful to watch so he could make sure things went ok. He was worried that she had said she had to reject him agian. That meant he'd been bothering her and she had asked him multiple times to leave her alone. He wondered if she'd be ok.

She shat back a smile at the boys before opening the door with a glare " Go away" She said. Jack smiled and pushed himself past her. " I don't see that happening" He said to her ear. Then getting closer " I think I am going to stay here. You owe me" He said.
Smacking her lips she shoved him back " Your not staying here. And I don't owe you S&*^" She said louder then she wanted. She checked her guest to be sure they didn't here. Big mistake. With a simple raising of the brow Jack huffed and walked to the direction of her gaze " Who is he Debs...Already offering to another... Your mine not his!" He yelled now placing his hand on her shoulder. She pushed it away but he shoved to the wall with the other " Jack I am not your girl... never was. |
Griffin grabbed Jack by the collar and sat him roughly on the floor. He was so angry that his wings shot out and hit a vase that clattered to the floor and shattered. Alex stood and ran to see what was happening. Griffin folded his wings and glared. Alex saw that this man was bad and he thought he'd give him a good spook. Claws extended from both of his hands and his teeth became sharp. He unfurled large, black, batlike wings. His eyes were black with a red iris. He smiled wickedly. Blood ran down from his eyes like tears. "Leave and never come back." he hissed in a demonic tone. Even Griffin hated this side of his brother. It was creepy.

Debs didn't even see Griffin walk to the Guy. " Hey no wait..." She stared to say But when she saw Alex she moved back against the wall. Her face clearly showing her terror. " Umm guys stop please" She said in hope Alex didn't decide to turn on her. Jack was speechless. He only nodded then glanced back at Debs. With a blink he flicked her the finger then scurried out the door. Debs watched but didn't move scared of what can happen now. " Uh... Alex..." She finally said moving closer to Griffin

Griffin looked flustered and Alex fell on the floor laughing. He was back to normal appearance. "BWAHAHAHA!!! Did you see that guys face?! I thought he was going to shit himself." Alex cackled like a hyena. Grouch yanked him up by his hair. "It's not funny!" he growled at the brother had frightened all of them. Alex whined. "Ow! Get off! I'm sorry..." Griffin dropped him and apologized to Debs before he returned o eating his food. He looked angry and perhaps a bit frightened.

Taking a deep breath she getting up and walking to eat herself. After a while she cleared her throat " Thank you Alex..And Griffin. I wanted to be done with Jack for days now. He wouldn't leave me alone." She rolling her eyes and letting out a groan. She then sat up and looked at the two " So... Gods..Should I really be bowing to the two of you? " She said smiling again

Alex started giggling and Griffin just smirked. "Bow to us? Dude, Griffin, I think she really meant that too." Alex rolled on the floor and tears of laughter streamed down his cheeks. Griffin shook his head. "Why would you do that? Were not weird old guys with crowns..we don't need anyone to bow down." Alex winked. "Unless it's for another reason!" Griffin looked a bit digusted. "You are SUCH a pervert!" he said after giving Alex a little glare. Alex just shrugged. "Hey, it's fun being a naughty little bastard!" he grined
