Nearly Drowned http://s1.hubimg.com/u/4340912_f520.jpg Bio: Name-Roy Intel Age- 28 Occupation- Successful Business Manager Gender- Male Info- (If you want) Is a business manager and really smart. Has a lot of money but mostly deals with paper work and meetings more than anything else. On the outside of business, well he is known as a work a holic and even ignores his family unless its death related. Looks- http://picpost.postjung.com/data/124/124110-4-8026.jpg Roy Intel was known as the biggest business manager in the field of business in the area. No one ever crossed him nor did they try to double cross him for if they did, they wouldn't see the light of the next minute. However, Roy was making a business offer with one of his best customers that did nothing wrong towards him. Once they made the deal and Roy turned to look towards the wide open ocean. Smelling the sea salt in the air and feeling the breeze along your skin while flowing through your hair gently. Roy soon felt nothing as he was pushed into the water hitting his head on the side of the boat near him while on the dock late at night. No one was around and everyone else sleeping in those boats were normally thinking it was a stupid bird. He could feel himself hit the water flowing underneath to the current and drifting off into unconsciousness. No doubt, he would have a concussion, that is if he lived to see the next time to open his eyes. The water current moved quickly, passing him off here and there as the current would almost think it was a game. He moved so much that he would be lucky to get out of there alive. Soon he felt fish near him until they swam away, dolphins stayed back, and even the cut on his forehead had stopped bleeding enough to keep sharks at bay. He lay in the ocean, floating closer and closer to the bottom of the sea floor. |
Name: Rousel Tifaimoana Age: Uncertain, somewhere from 23-27 Occupation: Sea Witch (think Ursula from The Little Mermaid...brews potions, etc.) Gender: Male Info: Orphaned at a young age and forced to fend for himself, Rousel is a rare breed of merperson with the lower half of a large octopus. He doesn't remember his parents, nor has he ever met another merperson that looks like him. He's a mercenary of sorts, brewing potions, poisons, and medicine for people as well as taking on the occasional odd job--stealing, kidnapping for ransom...a few times, even murder. He does what he can to get by. He's a very lonely individual who typically stays far away from the surface of the water. He has to surface sometimes, though, to fetch ingredients for his strange concoctions. Appearance: http://i371.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1304941379 Why did this customer want this? Why did he have to do this? Rousel hated being out of water--it made him feel vulnerable and very exposed, seeing as he couldn't move very well out of water. A late-night unexpected customer had quite rudely burst into his den without permission, but he'd offered up a huge sum of money... ...in exchange for coconuts. Why in the world that merman wanted coconuts was something that Rousel was not going to question. Merpeople with fish-like tails could barely get up on land at all. Rousel, while he was slow on land, could walk on land and even climb trees. He was trying to avoid climbing trees, though, by using his thick, powerful tentacles to grip the tree trunks and shake them violently. This brought down a rain of huge, dangerous coconuts on him, and then he was forced to dance around and try to catch them. The merman had wanted four of them. Satisifed with the four large coconuts he'd managed to collect, Rousel turned to head back into the water. Suddenly, though, he paused...and he squinted. There was something out in the water. Something large--a few fish were poking around at it curiously. Setting the coconuts down on a nearby rock, hoping they would be safe, he made his way with ease into the water to investigate. He froze about a few feet away from the...odd object. It wasn't floating debris like he had suspected after all...it was a human! Rousel was so startled, so surprised, that he was frozen in place. He couldn't move, eyes locked on the strange creature... |
Roy floated there unmoved, his body temperature would have been very low making his skin like ice, he wasn't going to wake up as the cut on his forehead caused such a big cut. The big cut or gash wasn't bleeding anymore, but, it was still red and noticeable if close enough. The wind started to pick up some just like it did on days you were out by the ocean waters, the air was slightly chilly but it was the starting of a new season. Seagulls flew around where they thought food was, making cawing noises, and yet Roy still had a very light bit of breath left in him. That slight bit of breath wouldn't be there long though.

Rousel didn't like humans. Not at all. Humans were greedy, selfish, arrogant creatures, and humans were the main cause of the sharp decrease in fish numbers in the past hundred or so years. Life for merpeople could be harsh when food was scarce, after all.
If he had encountered a healthy human, he would have fled at once, or attacked if cornered. But...this human was in a dire state, it seemed. Suspiciously, as if he expected the man to suddenly rear up and attack him, Rousel ventured closer, eventually stretching one of his arms out to poke him. He retracted his arm quickly, watching the human closely. When he didn't react, Rousel finally moved by his side. The human looked cold and...dead. But he was breathing. He had an injury on his head, it looked like. Scowling, the big merman heaved a sigh and slid his arms underneath the human's body. Curse his desire to do the right thing...really, he didn't want to be bothered. But he couldn't just leave this human out here to die. He dragged the unconscious male back onto the island he had been combing for coconuts and laid him out across the beach, carelessly tacking some wet sand onto his body to keep him warm against the chill. He had to return to his customer and deliver the coconuts. Once that was done, he would see what he could for the human. Grabbing onto the discarded coconuts, Rousel hopped back into the water, heading off into the depths to collect his pay. |
Roy had an odd feeling that he was being moved but thinking wasn't much of an option in this state that he was in. All he could do was lay there in the darkness that surrounded him and wait for someone or something to help him if that would be a possibility. He could feel pain towards his head and his body was numb with the coldness. He heard people in the background, they were yelling and some were saying things to another about an ambulance. Then he wondered if maybe he was dead or someone else was hurt besides himself. Did he even leave the boating docks after talking to his customer? He couldn't remember and this wouldn't be good as a top business owner with amnesia.
