Did anyone realize that I'm the hottest chick EVER? JK! Not about me being hot, but that's not what this is about. I can't beleive that when sites like Mene and Gaia first came out, shows like That's So Raven and Even Stevens still came on tv and I was in Elementary school or Kindergarten. Now I'm using the sites that came out when I was little. It's the same feeing I get when I watch MTV, which was made before I was even born and people still though "Grooin' to the beat" was cool. I really can't beleive it. You guys?

Out of curiosity how does what I like have anything to do with how Iam? I just find it sad that the general discussion forum had omg I can't believe I was 13 when Mene started. To post a topic that most people really don't think about is kinda redundant in my point of view.

There's been a few topics which, in my opinion have little to talk about that are kind of pointless. Sometimes new users come from other sites where spam topics are tolerated and replied to. No reason to have an attitude since they may not know any better. They just know that if they post a topic, they get gold.

I don't want to get too much into my opinions on not locking borderline spam threads though since that's kind of not needed.

Depending on what month in 2007 mene started, I could have been 12. But honestly, how long something has been around shouldn't really effect how good it is... if that's what this is about. (Honestly I can't tell.)

Also back to the topic it self, depending what month the site came out... I was either a senior in high school or starting college. :S The only website I been on for years but rarely visit now is Creature World. :)

I was on Gaia long before the explosion of people on it, still there on occassion but not as much as I used to be. I was of the older generation when I started there, still am -- and I was older when I started here, too. I see nothing wrong with joining a site no matter what the age is.

I do see the sense on that (with your last sentence), but there are legal issues with that. Hence why I semi-agree with Saisei. We wouldn't want Menewsha in trouble with the US child privacy act or whatever that thing is called.

Sorry if I seem a bit ageist enough our younger generation. :(

Hm... I know this is just me, but the main audience for this site would be 13 to 28 I think. That is just what I think. Although the main population seems to be ages 17-25. That's just what I can tell. ;)

I think what some people are getting at is that if someone was claiming to be on here before the age of 13, then they shouldn't have been allowed to sign up until they turned 13. I believe almost every site online states that no one under the age of 13 can sign up for an account of any sorts, it has to do with different laws and such.

Well the OP clearly said she was 13 so what's the problem? I don't get why everyone is teasing and belittling her due to her age. She just psych about how much time has passed. We all have those moments.

The COPPA Act says hi. It's called "Children's Online Privacy Protection Act" for a reason, and regardless of age or mentality (which clearly, this little girl lacks), it is illegal for a child to have any account online anywhere until they turn thirteen. She could very easily be lying about her age, given her behaviour and wit, or lack of it. Seen her Life Issues thread? It's not cute. I'm still bordeline believeing she's a troll. But whatever, we're just evil twats, right? Congratulations, you're supporting pedobait. But hey, good for you. We're the morons here for pointing out the law and all.
