I do that too.. My Nord doesn't use any armor though. Come to think of it.. Only my Orc and my Imperial seem to use armor...

Draciolus 01-03-2012 08:46 PM

Damned shops...they never have enough gold for me. I'm still holding on to 100+ gems(Flawless Garnet, Emeralds, etc of variations), about 15 amulets and things, and TONS of other stuff I probably don't really need.

Also, with that Iron Dagger trick...I found it better(and more profitable) to use the Ebony Dagger. Same amount of materials, just worth a whole lot more. Even though it takes Smithing 80 to get it, it's well worth the effort.

Antagonist 01-04-2012 01:18 AM

Shops never have enough gold in Oblivion either...The most gold a merchant's got is 3000 via plug-ins, but a simple enchanted Daedric warhammer is like 5000+ gold each. >_>;

Draciolus 01-04-2012 01:33 AM

I typically buy everything I might possibly need(all Soul Stones, Dwarven/Daedric/Elven/Glass/Ebony arrows, Lokcpicks even though I have over 400, and Ebony Ingots, Leather Strips) which ends up boosting a merchant that had 750 to over 3000. Which makes me happy, because then I can sell the heavier loot to them and get my money right back. xD

On another note: I just killed my 20th dragon....and it was an Ancient Dragon. Damned thing almost killed me 3 times....with just its flames. Good thing I was in a city, and the 2 guards(it was that small of a city) helped attack it....before they died. And I could hide under rooftops/behind houses to avoid the flames. xD

Antagonist 01-04-2012 02:11 AM

Ohh...so they have a limited amount of gold that doesn't 'replenish' like the kind in Oblivion? :O Uh oh...

Draciolus 01-04-2012 02:32 AM

Oh, it replenishes, just not fast enough for me. xD

Antagonist 01-04-2012 08:33 AM

I hope not every three in-game days, that would take forever!

OnYourGoat 01-04-2012 01:27 PM

I barely pick anything up in skyrim.. Lol.

Arkkath 01-04-2012 02:52 PM

I loot everything. I don't necessarily pick everything up, but I check everything.

Here's some Skyrim memes

Antagonist 01-04-2012 03:49 PM

"Run out of potions, eat 100 potatoes mid fight"
L.m.f.a.o.

I check everything too in Oblivion, despite having over something like 70,000,000 gold already. (and rapidly moving onwards to 80,000,000 thanks to all the enchanted Daedric Warhammers and other armors and weapons I pick up)

There's perks that help with the shopkeepers having more money and so on.
Check out your perk trees, the ones for the Thief class (green area)

Arkkath 01-04-2012 04:54 PM

Yea in the Speech tree, you have a couple of perks that help with shops.
There's one where you can invest with certain shops and it increases how much gold they have.
There's another one that gives 1000 extra gold to every shop you've invested in.
Not to mention the perk in the same tree that let's you sell anything to any vendor.

Draciolus 01-04-2012 10:04 PM

Yeah...I dont normally level those up that much, wanted my weapons to deal more and my armour to weigh nothing. But since I have those done, I might as well go ahead and do that....while leveling up my light armour and one-handed weapons. xD

Kaylesha Blackheart 01-07-2012 01:46 AM

I may have to raise some perks for light armor so I can benefit from making Dragon Armor...

Draciolus 01-07-2012 02:02 AM

There is also Heavy Dragon Armour. Though, I'm using the light right now since my Heavy is almost at 100(I think its at 78 right now).

Arkkath 01-07-2012 06:03 AM

I'm using the heavy dragon armour set right now, but I'm collecting daedra hearts so I can build a set of daedric armour.
I was using dual wielding daedric swords, but I came across 2 rare weapons, so I'm using those now.
They're Chillrend and the Mace of Molag Bal. Plus I have Azura's Star. Infinite souls!

Kaylesha Blackheart 01-07-2012 05:35 PM

What heavy dragon armor? I've yet to see it...

Draciolus 01-07-2012 11:30 PM

Its in the same category as the Dragon Armour when you are making it. It takes Dragon Bone instead of Leather. Otherwise, its the exact same materials to make.

Kaylesha Blackheart 01-08-2012 01:37 AM

something to look forward to.
my husband is close to being able to make the armor....

Draciolus 01-08-2012 02:12 AM

Daedric is still better than it, but for Light Armours, the Dragon Armour is definitely the best(especially when upgraded to Legendary).

Arkkath 01-08-2012 03:23 AM

Yeah when you unlock the ability to make dragon armour, you can make both light and heavy versions.
Since my character build uses heavy, that's what I made for myself.

Daedric is still better even though you can craft it earlier than that dragon stuff.
The Dragon sets are easier to make though. As long as you've kept all of the dragon bones and scales from ones you've killed that is.

Draciolus 01-08-2012 04:24 AM

I'm REALLY starting to hate this quest. The guy is never at the place I'm trying to get to before him(even when I'm more than halfway closer to the place than him, and fast travel) where I need to assassinate him. -.-

Kaylesha Blackheart 01-08-2012 05:13 PM

I've been hoarding Dragon Bones and Scales in Breezehome since day 1 of owning the house.

Draciolus 01-08-2012 06:34 PM

Same with me, I have something like 40 of each...if not a lot more. I did spend a bunch of scales on the light armour.

I basically hoard anything that I could use to make the top armours, I have something like 90 Ebony Ingots.

Kaylesha Blackheart 01-10-2012 03:55 AM

I'm also giving Lydia heavy Dragon armor when I'm able to forge it. I want her as beefed up as I am if she's gonna follow me around.
