An idea

I got a cycling camera this Christmas and i was thinking about takes videos from place to place that are 30 miles+ away from me , i think it might be a good idea i have a mountain bike not the best of things... but it does the job my camera shoots 30FPS so that's ok.... the films would be in the uk when ever i go on holiday i will make a trip sooo.. yer.. i might talk in some of my trips... getting some friends to come along..
what do you think i can improve or do?
good idea or bad?
even if you think it is a bad idea im still going to do it :)

I think its a good idea.
You shouldn't worry about what people think.
Just go and have fun.
Just be careful with your camera and play with it plenty so you get used to using it.

I think it's an awesome idea. I agree that you should try it out first before you do anything major with it.

This sounds like a pretty interesting concept! :D

As the others have stated, I'd play around with a bit to get used to it.

Are there any kinds of protection for the camera? Or is it pretty sturdy since it's for cycling?

it has its own holder on the handle bar

Is it also waterproof? Is it just handlebar mounted or do you have a helmet mount also? (I've seen some pretty interesting helmet cam videos - especially useful for city riding and pressing charges when aggressive drivers do bad things to cyclists)

Do you have the ability to edit the video after its done- I imagine all 30+ miles of video would be a bit tedious to watch - but it would be neat to make a hilight reel type of video when the ride is over.

Either way sounds like a nice way to remember your long rides.

That sounds awesome! So does is have a waterproof case? What kind of batteries does it take? I've heard of helmet cameras but not the kind that mount on the bike. That sounds like fun :)
