Skyrim marriage

I know there are tons of skyrim marriage threads in other forums all over the web already, but I think I have an answer about one of the most asked questions.

The question is why can't you marry a khajiit. What I think? Simple: Khajiits can't say I. So the usual marriage lingo doesn't work. What do you think? And are there any mods yet that solve this problem?

Antagonist 12-27-2011 03:16 PM

Hm, that might be possible, though it's also very easy for the developers to simply come up with another marriage lingo...>.>;;

If I knew how to script things and stuff, I'd so totally make a mod that allows you to marry anyone you want, though mostly because I want to marry a Dremora.

NightshadeBloom 12-28-2011 12:25 AM

I could of sworn they could ^^;
I thought I remembered seeing a Khajit option under the list of people who you could marry
It may be, since they are cats, they don't marry.

I kind of wish Bethesda made your spouse unable to die.

Also I would love that mod because there is one person I always fangirl over o-o

I know, right? I went and became the archmage JUST so that I could gain J'zargo's favor. Only to find that the "marry anyone" cheat doesn't work on him! Then I settle for the argonian miner Derkeethus. Only to have him NEVER COME HOME. He might occationally appear, only to run right out the other door. I'm like, come on! Can't I get a break??

NightshadeBloom 12-28-2011 02:59 AM

I married a werewolf =w=
Gotta love the guys from the Companions ;D
No, I wanted the second in command of the Thieves Guild though, Brynolf OwO. That accent!

Antagonist 12-28-2011 07:25 AM

There's a marry anyone you want cheat? O AO;; So totally gonna try using that on Mehrunes Dagon's Dremoras, or one that I spawn if I end up not liking them. <333

Im trying to decide which of the two girls that have shown interest in me to marry. D:

Antagonist 12-28-2011 10:23 AM

Flip a coin? :XD

Pa-chinko 12-28-2011 06:03 PM

I married the chick from Riverwood Trader. <_< Damn woman is cheating on me. I keep seeing Faendal leaving our house just as I arrive to the hold. Suspicious.

I heard you can use console commands to marry a Khajit.

The official reason I got for not being able to marry a Khajit is that it's not their tradition.

Well...I would, but its a decision between a Housecarl I got in Solitude, or some random chick who I helped to be trained by Khajit in being a merchant....Im leaning more towards the Housecarl...she can fight. xD

NightshadeBloom 12-28-2011 07:39 PM

Beware having you spouse fight with you, they die rather easily ;-;

Draciolus 12-28-2011 08:09 PM

Im currently using the housecarl I got from Whiterun as my companion...she doesnt want to marry me, so I could marry the other. xD

Kaylesha Blackheart 12-29-2011 04:17 PM

I read something from Bethesda saying Lydia is un-marry-able.
I think it's just another glitch.

Draciolus 12-29-2011 06:31 PM

Nope, I haven't gotten her interested in me at all. And Ive seen videos on Youtube where the people used a console command to get her to marry them.

Did you also know that when you accidentally ask the wrong person to marry you, you can just run away from the ceremony, and then re do it later....the priest is even made at first. xD

AmyHeartXVIII 12-30-2011 02:50 PM

Okay, here's another Q: If your spouse dies- or happens to fall dead in front of you for no reason at all... >_> <_< Can you marry again?

Yep, exactly what I needed to know. Thanks.

Antagonist 01-02-2012 08:05 AM

Hm, can one use the console command to marry a Dremora?

If you can get into discussion with one, it's a possibility. But if once they walk into town everyone starts attacking them, I doubt it's very likely.

OnYourGoat 01-03-2012 07:41 AM

*reads a list of avaliable male orc* Booya!

Antagonist 01-03-2012 03:15 PM

Everyone attacks them? :gonk: Frag it! I'll disable all their AI if that's what it takes!! :illgetu:

lightkanna 01-03-2012 10:37 PM

I didn't know you could marry in Skyrim. D:<
Currently I'm only on level 4 and my sister has the PS3 and the game, since it is hers, technically their friend or her boyfriend. So whenever they come over, I am playing it until I can get to level 10. :D Then I'll want to marry Onmund or Argis the Bulwark.

I said IF everyone attacks them. I don't know, I've never run into one before.

Draciolus 01-07-2012 03:37 AM

I'm wondering what happens when you marry a second person in Skyrim...or if you even can.

Antagonist 01-07-2012 07:19 AM

@Amy: Hmm...I'll try it out.
Still no news from the guy who was supposed to be ordering it for me though, I'm starting to think he forgot. :stare:
