Robin grinned and sauntered over to her, dropping down next to her. "So, have fun today?"
Ishiah rolled his eyes and checked on Alexander briefly before going to join the other two. |
"Around Jeane's unexpected little mental breakdown, yes," Khalid replied, settling in between her men and setting the book down for a little bit.
|
Robin snorted. "Once she gets used to the idea she'll be happier."
"But she's still human. I'm sure the thought of that much knowledge is somewhat daunting." Ishiah paused. "Then again, she is inheriting this from a puck, so maybe she shouldn't be scared after all." "Hey!" |
Khalid snickered for a moment.
"I told her to annoy you if she had any questions," she teased Robin. |
Robin pouted. "It's a conspiracy. You people are all working against me."
Ishiah snickered. "Don't worry. We'll rescue you. Eventually." |
Khalid leaned over and gave Robin a kiss.
"We all know how much you like bragging," she said to him. "Now Jeane just has a way to tell just how much of what you're spouting is actually bullshit." |
Robin pouted. "I do not spout bullshit," he protested, feebly at best. "I just exaggerate certain details."
Ishiah covered a laugh in a cough. |
"Don't you lie to me, Robin," Khalid replied, although she grinned teasingly. "I know you too well for that."
|
Robin just pouted at them. Ishiah snorted and nudged Robin, keeping the puck between the two.
|
Khalid cuddled a bit closer to Robin.
"We know how you are by now," she said. "We've had plenty of time to figure it out, and it hasn't chased us away yet." She smirked just the slightest bit. "But if you try to spoil our son rotten we may have an issue." And yes, she made sure he knew he was included in the 'our son' part of that phrase. |
Robin snorted. "You're going to be spoiling him too," he protested.
"Yeah but you'll give him everything." "Well maybe not everything..." |
"Close enough to everything that he'll realize he can get the rest himself," Khalid said. They would have to make sure to teach Alexander not to abuse his ability.
|
Robin shrugged. "I'm sure you two will teach him morals." Because they all knew that if that responsibility was left to the puck, Alexander would have no morals.
|
"Luckily for you," Khalid replied teasingly. She stretched a bit and sighed. "I'm not so worried about that, though. Between the two of us, Ishiah and I can manage it."
|
"I should hope so. Especially if you give him to this one for a while." Robin prodded Ishiah with a grin.
"I resent that." "Says the one who usually comes off as holier than thou with righteous fury and all but the flaming sword." |
Khalid snorted, but was smart enough not to comment. She knew better than to get in the middle of THAT particular tease-fest.
|
Ishiah glowered at Robin and pushed him back on the bed before sitting on him, making the puck groan in ways that had everything to do with the air being forced out of his lungs and nothing to do with his libido, for once. Ish just smirked.
|
Khalid rolled her eyes.
"You're both just big children sometimes," she said, watching them. |
"Help. Dying puck here!" Robin waved his arms around.
"You can't be dying if you're complaining this much." "You wound me with your accusations, Ish. Besides, this isn't whining." And somehow Robin managed to cuff Ish with his flailing. |
"You're immortal, Robin," Khalid replied, grinning a bit. "As close as it's possible to get." She smirked. "Besides, you're not breathing in feathers yet, you're fine."
|
"No but I know what I'd like to be breathing in." Robin grinned and waggled his eyebrows.
"Apparently I can't squish him well enough to get him to stop leering," Ish said mildly. Because he really didn't mind, but it was fun to make fun of the puck. |
"I doubt anything can make him stop leering," Khalid replied. Getting up, she stretched a bit. "I'm going to go get comfortable."
|
"Alright." Ishiah moved off the puck after a few more moments, pulling his shirt off so he was more comfortable. By the time Khalid got back, Robin had convinced Ish to let him groom his wings.
|
Khalid came back out in embroidered silk pants and a midriff-baring top--and a glittering, jeweled piercing in her navel. It was still brand-new, within the last couple of days, and she knew neither of her men had seen it yet. She settled in the chair, since they'd taken over the couch, and she raised an eyebrow at them. Ishiah rarely let anyone touch his wings, even them.
|
Ish and Robin both paused when they noticed the new piece of body jewelry on her.
"When did you get that?" Ish asked after a moment, since apparently Robin's brain had just sort of short-circuited. |
