Star Wars 3D Theater Release | Rant
I know this sounds nerdy, and crazy, but is anyone else annoyed that they are releasing EPISODE I first, instead of EPISODE IV?
I understand, but the ORIGINAL release is how many fans grew up, or came to love it, beyond that, seeing I-III before IV-VI is totes going to ruin it for those who haven't seen all of them before. They turned a special moment for me into... something not so special. :gonk: |
What.
This displeases me greatly. Honestly who cares about the chronology of the plot... most of the fans I know chose to ignore the existence of the prequels anyways. The original three movies were far superior to the three prequels and they always will be. I'm not even saying that because I grew up on the originals either. People got along just fine without the prequels for 22 years and if there are people that are seriously that preoccupied with finding out all of the back story they could rent the prequels before seeing A New Hope in theaters. /rant |
I know, I hate 1-3. I call them the red-headed step children of the Star Wars family.
WORSE YET. They are only releasing one a year supposedly, or that's the plan, so we wont see Return of the Jedi, to complete the series, until 2017! That's pretty much... the end of it all. Like I want to wait 4 years just to see the ONES I WANT TO SEE. |
That is a horrible, horrible move on their part. I personally wouldn't even bother with seeing the first three in theaters.... I just don't have any need to see them in theaters (ignoring the times when I didn't know better). However, the original three I'd so be willing to go see.

I think I will, just to basically see ALL SIX, but... :/ I don't know. I almost want to, just to get a glimpse of what he can turn 1-3 into, so 4-6 will be even more AWESOME.
Plus, 1 comes out on Feb. 10th, so it's like... damn, so soon. That's why I was like, YES! Okay, so, not happy about them starting with one, but four will come eventually. Then I just was looking at something else, and it was like... yeah, one a year. That's a horrible, horrible move. |
That's so close to my birthday, too. I might be tempted to go see the first one because of that reason, lol.
I guess they're doing the same thing as Disney with their whole "one a year" 3d film release. It makes me wonder how many other companies will try the same thing with other franchises. |
It's so dumb. Like... one a year. That's so messed up. I CAN'T WAITTT~
