LiviInLove 10-24-2012 11:53 PM

Just a warnin' to y'all, my hubby is gettin' home soon so I'll probably be disappearin' offline soon.

The Wandering Poet 10-24-2012 11:53 PM

Nobody? Gosh... when people here talk like that I just kinda... well... stare...

RoadToGallifrey 10-24-2012 11:54 PM

@Livi: Haha I can imagine, I said "ta" in Florida and no-one understood me xD

@Roxxxy: I've never tried them, I usually use Rimmel. I've never had shellac either, but my mum swears by it haha

@Poet: Nope. Everyone I speak to is from this area and even my friend from Latvia still knows what I'm saying

The Wandering Poet 10-24-2012 11:55 PM

Weird... maybe I'm the only one who can't figure out slanganese... @[email protected]

DragonQueen08 10-24-2012 11:55 PM

sorry was gone for a few had to make dinner

RoadToGallifrey 10-24-2012 11:56 PM

@Livi: Aw, speak to you later if you do head off

@Poet: Maybe

LiviInLove 10-24-2012 11:56 PM

Like the other day, I was getting a refill at the pharmacy for my anti-nausea pills just in case, ya know and she handed them over and I was like "Ta muchly" to her. But in a completely Americanized accent (which I can do - given that I was rased over here). I got this look like "Wait... what??" Haha!

Alex just called, he's about 10 minutes drive away.

Poet: Omg - sorry I missed your post... I can't stand slang and I fight to understand it. Most of the time. I don't understand American Slang. [lol]

It seems to be all the rage here. But it is so expensive! Although, so is Chanel.
But I love it too much to switch!

RoadToGallifrey 10-24-2012 11:59 PM

@Rox: Aw, it's pretty fairly priced over here, plus it dries in a minute so I'm happy haha

@Livi: Aw, the woman I said it to thought I was Australian [roll]

Sleepy Anarchy 10-25-2012 12:00 AM

That would have been amusing, bucket.

LiviInLove 10-25-2012 12:00 AM

Vinyl: Haha! [headdesk] I think for me it was the British Slang, with an Americanized accent that threw her over here. [XD] I kinda realised what I had said after I said it and corrected myself "Oh, thank you very much." *lol* She just laughed, but more that nervous laugh, and said "No problem." xD

RoadToGallifrey 10-25-2012 12:02 AM

@Livi: I think the woman I spoke to was just a bit simple lol. Tricking those pharmacists with your British slang and American accent is mean though! xD

@Tntk: I was staring at her for ages, I'm like the least Australian sounding person ever haha

LiviInLove 10-25-2012 12:03 AM

Vinyl: I totally didn't mean to! xD Haha! I blame my family in the UK! [lol] I had been talking to them on Skype just before I left the house to head down to the pharmacy. xD

RoadToGallifrey 10-25-2012 12:04 AM

Us pesky Brits lead everyone astray haha

We're talkin' about slang and how Brits love to lead people astray - I've got fam in the UK and after talkin' to them, my slang comes out way more than I'd like to admit. [lol]

RoadToGallifrey 10-25-2012 12:08 AM

We just lure people into our ways! xD

LiviInLove 10-25-2012 12:09 AM

Vinyl: Won't find me disagreeing with ya there! [;)]

@Livi: Very successful too I see! ;)

LiviInLove 10-25-2012 12:12 AM

Vinyl: Haha, yes yes! [lol] Oh, dear! I'm now having a laughing fit, and Alex just walked in and he's looking at me like I'm completely mental! Eh, I suppose I am. But I should go - I'll try to get on later! [hug] Have a fab rest of your day and sleep well when ya get there! [hug]

The Wandering Poet 10-25-2012 12:13 AM

Of any speech, poet adopts Old English to fastest... it's REALLY annoying if poet reads a book from that time frame and then poet tries to go outside @[email protected] poet has to constantly fix their sentence structure before they speak

RoadToGallifrey 10-25-2012 12:13 AM

@Livi: All the best people are mad! [hug] I'll probably be in the land of nod very soon so I'll hopefully catch you tomorrow! Hope the rest of your day goes well too! [heart]

Ha! I do it too :P

Wanna fuck up your world? Read Walden. I love it so much, but it makes my life and goals seem like shit. And you will talk that way for days [lol]
