or you could buy a brita filter and just store it in the fridge.

When we had to boil our water we would put all but the last 2 inches of water in random bottles or bowls

Yeah i need to do that. That's what wrong with our water, it has tons of chemicals in it that makes it yucky. i want a filter or something for it. How much are those pitchers? We don't really have any extra monies right now and hubby might lose/quit his job soon.
