XD Yep, it's baby speak for "i want my parents, cause they only want me when I'm screaming!" haha

LiviInLove 01-11-2013 09:37 PM

Oh, exactly! xD Although we do our best to just keep our eye on her when she's throwing her tantrums, but not give her attention because we don't want her to see throwing tantrums as a way to get attention. xD

CrossHatch 01-11-2013 09:43 PM

Ooo yeah, I know how that goes!! My niece does that allll the time!! She just turned 4 but she literally thinks she's a princess, she will fight and argue with everyone then just whine and cry until she gets her way!! I can't stand it, but she's the only girl, so they spoil her to death, which really isn't good!!

The Wandering Poet 01-11-2013 09:45 PM

Haha,... my brother's kid is a total spoiled brat... but with me she is 100% obedient because I don't tolerate her crap. I don't cause it either... I know she hates going to bed so I find things for her to do laying down that are fun and she's out like a light after about 20 min of flailing for fun

CrossHatch 01-11-2013 09:47 PM

lol, that's a good way to be!! It's not good for kids to think they can demand the world and get it! They grow up to be brats, well, usually. I don't babysit very often anymore, so I never really have to worry about it! So, it's their problem, they can deal with it as far as I see it!! lol

LiviInLove 01-11-2013 09:51 PM

Yeah, we don't put up with it because I refuse to have her be spoiled and think she can always get her way, because that's not good.

Sorry, I'm kinda distracted, and I may get pulled off her soon.

CrossHatch 01-11-2013 09:55 PM

Yup yup, that's not a problem! I'm kinda all over the place as well!! I only need a little more gold so I'm typing everywhere!! haha.

I think my biggest reason for not wanting kids... the world is already getting over populated enough, and my personal opinion, I don't think this world is that great of a place, in fact, sometimes it's downright horrible, and I don't want to bring another life into that. Again, that's just my opinion, I know a lot of people don't really agree... so now, I just hope and pray that I don't get pregnant!! XD

The Wandering Poet 01-11-2013 09:58 PM

Weird question... what gender are you cross? Don't want to say him/her and be wrong XD

Interesting Cross... pretty similar reason for me

CrossHatch 01-11-2013 10:01 PM

Well, I am female... even though CrossHatch is a robot, I still usually say 'him' so... yeah, either way I wouldn't be offended! lol

The Wandering Poet 01-11-2013 10:04 PM

ooh... ok I thought "hey cross has a girlfriend so that means cross has a gender!" XD
Then I derped out trying to figure it out

CrossHatch 01-11-2013 10:06 PM

lol, well, I break character sometimes... depends on the conversation! XD

The Wandering Poet 01-11-2013 10:21 PM

Well feel free to break character anytime. I do too sometimes...
[illgetu] I'm supposed to be mysterious!!

CrossHatch 01-11-2013 10:23 PM

Yeah, I have here lately. At least if a conversation gets more serious or something. When I post in life issues or something like that, it's not in character.. especially on someones post, don't want be a robot to come across rude or something. XD

The Wandering Poet 01-11-2013 10:27 PM

Yeah... typically for a few years people didn't even know my gender. :(

CrossHatch 01-11-2013 10:31 PM

I don't know most peoples, and I never really ask. To me it doesn't really matter, and some people get offended if you ask (at least I've had it happen before) so I just avoid it! haha

The Wandering Poet 01-11-2013 10:33 PM

it's just easier for me. that way I don't say "he" and find it's a girl, or say "she" and find they prefer not to be referred to by their gender

Silenia 01-11-2013 10:34 PM

Cross, we seem to be crossing paths a lot, eh? XD

Regarding gender, I tend to either go with neutral terms (unless someone has specifically stated their gender somewhere, or similar) or base myself on their avatar, because then if I'm wrong, I at least have a "proper" reason. XD

CrossHatch 01-11-2013 10:37 PM

Why yes we do!! =D How crazy... haha

Yeah, I typically avoid saying gender too, I just go with their name or neutral terms as well. I never want to offend anyone. I know my girlfriend gets it a lot, so I wouldn't want to do it to someone else!

Imagination 01-11-2013 10:41 PM

@My Friends;

Ello everyone :)

Silenia 01-11-2013 10:42 PM

It also depends a lot on things. Generally speaking, if someone has a female username and a female avatar and they don't specifically state in their signature that they are male (whether physically, transgender, etc. I don't care, if I use gender I go for the one people themselves state they are/feel they are. They know better than I do what gender they are) and I read them complaining about, say, their period, I feel safe to use female pronouns in regards to them. XD

CrossHatch 01-11-2013 10:42 PM

Hiya! How are you doing!?

lol, yeah, that last part is usually a dead giveaway!! XD

Imagination 01-11-2013 10:44 PM

Unless they're male in a female body. If they feel they're male, they're male. If they feel they're female, they're female. Don't care if they do or do not have certain equipment. After all, I'm not talking to their bodies, I am talking to them. So it would also make sense to refer to their gender, not their body's gender.

Just my two cents on it. XD

EDIT: Hi, Imagination. I am doing well enough. Sad to hear you're bored, though.
