"The gods gave me a tongue to help and break spells on those who are worthy and have learned their lestin. Now, again, I will help you but you need to give me a reason why I should... or give me an equal reason why I shouldn't just kill you here so you do harm anyone else like you almost did that poor village boy." Mage said with a dark frown seeming to know more then Jake would ever give her credit for.

Jake listened to the mage with his eyes still shut, while she spoke he was still hearing more then just her words, he could also hear the rustle of the tree is the background, this new form was still playing tricks on his mind and he was finding it hard to focus. "Okay! Enough! The reason you shouldn't kill me is because I give you my word... The word of a paladin, that I shall not harm a fly. Do you think I want to be any more cursed then I am... No... Now move aside so I may continue my quest... Please." He said opening his eyes as he managed to get his ears to focus on one thing, but for how long, he had no clue.

"That's not good enough, I know your heart warrior, and I know the beast that you have become. I can see that you'll do whatever you need to to get back to normal and if you were to be cured you would go hunt dragons again, would you not?" Mage said with a dark frown as she was trying to see exactly what he wanted and what he would do if he got it.

Jake growled more as he began to clench his fists. "Look you mere mage. I have had enough you wasting my time, I am no longer the person I was... Look at me, take a good look because... This is what I have become, I am no longer the Jake everyone knew... I don't even know my own abilities or strength." He sighed as he turned away from the mage as his growling stopped. "I can't even go to a Inn without people being afraid of me... I have no control over my strength... And to make matters worse." He paused to turn back at the mage. "No one can help me... I am stuck like this..."

"If you could put your pride as a paladin behind you along with your hate for dragons and me then I could help... though that all depends on if you can keep your word never to harm another dragon or beast unless you have valid reason to... your job does not count as a reason." The mage said though you could tell she was a bit wary of Jake... mostly for the fact she knew he had a temper and that she would probably make him angry at her and he would probably go off on her at some point.

(ah XD I'm making my girl be an ass and he's not even trying to attack her XD what fun is that? XD)

Jake's internal flame had grown to hot and he let out a almighty roar (Which he didn't know he could do x3) and glared at her with eyes like daggers, his hand shot up to her throat as he gripped onto it tightly. "Now you listen here mage, you must clearly love angering people, because all I have had from you is annoying quizzes... Well no more!" He growled while gritting his teeth. "You are no help, no use and therefore, clearly not the person I needed to find after all!"

Mage choked a bit as she felt the males grip hard around her throat and she let out a small hissing sound at him. "Death be to you dear mortal if you kill me! Cursed wretch! Thou shalt die a beast! And never find the cure if thine kills me!" She hissed darkly almost spitting the words at the male as she made her staff appear in her hand and tried to jab Jake in the chest with the butt of it trying to get him to let go though didn't stab him with the blade... she didn't really want to kill him.

(yeah when she either gets pissed or is fighting sometimes she'll start speaking in more old english XD )

Jake listened to the female as he threw her back a little and growled more. "Oh yeah! Come on then! Strike me down oh miss mage!" She growled opening his arms wide as he closed his eyes, but as he did images began to flash into his head, they were the images of his previous dragon kills. Jake opened his eyes suddenly as he remained where he was and he sighed a bit. "I have no time for this... I have some... people... to pay my respects too..." She said as he looked too the mage whom he was still angry with. "So move aside and let this 'beast' pass" He said waiting for the female to move.

The Mage stared at the male before vanishing into thin air as though she had never actually been there though in reality she hadn't actually vanished but turned into a small bird-like dragon soaring far above head. She was planning on fallowing the male but she wasn't going to let him see her and she knew with how high up she was right now he wouldn't know where she was anyway. She had a hunch of where he was going but she wasn't sure. If he was going to where he had last slain a dragon then he would find flowers growing around it as though it were laying in a patch of them and had only been just sleeping... though in that same area he may also find the pips of that dragon but she wasn't really sure.

Once female mage vanished, he sighed again as he began to walk past where she had been stood. "About time she left me be... This is tough enough without having to worry about some psychopathic mage following me" He grumble as he made his way through the woods, the last dragon location was not far from here, he in fact was about ten minutes away. "What did I do.... I can't believe I was so heartless back then." He said looking up a nearby hill where on the top laid the body or the last dragon he slain. "May the beast be resting in peace."

As Jake got closer small dragons could be seen popping up every now and again though all fled quickly towards the body of the dead dragon. In the midst of these small dragons Mage flew down and landed making herself a bit bigger so as to be able to wrap her tail around the whining pips and hold them close. There were about ten pips all together then there was two or three young dragons that were sitting close to the bigger dragon nudging it a bit trying to see if it would wake though the dragon was long gone by now.

(oh and Jake wouldn't know that that was Mage that had landed there XP she just looked like another dragon... oh and is mage spelled like that or with a j?

Jake smiled a little at the pips, but to see them flee to the dead dragon suddenly made his heart sink as he imaged them as little human babies. Jake move closer and saw the new dragon fly down to comfort the pips, seeing the slightly bigger dragons nudging the dead one brought a tear to his eye. "What... Have I done?" He asked himself. The warrior then knelt down before the mage un-knowing that it was her and he looked down to the grass bellow him. "Dear dragon... I... I am terribly sorry about the lost of this adult dragon... It was my fault they died... And for what I have done I carry this curse upon me, though I deserve it... All I have done... Is caused pain and suffering." He closed his eyes and sighed sadly. "The mage was right... I am the monster... not you."

(It is spelt Mage :P)

When Jake came close to the small pips that Mage her her wings around one started to move a bit and crawled out from under Mage's wings and moved over to Jake licking his face slightly. "They say that they forgive you dear, wretched, cursed warrior.... and now I see that you are changing." Mage said in a soft inchanting voice coming from her dragon form before she shifted to normal still kneeling and having her feathered dragon wings still out gleaming with dark red, black, purple and blue. The pips stayed close to Mage though even as she shifted and the two older dragons walked over to stand on each side of her and looked at her a bit before looking at Jake almost seeming to be curious as to what was going on.

Jake smiled at the pip and chuckled a little as it licked his face, but soon he had confusion on his face as he looked to the mage "Do I know you dragon?" He asked before gasping at the sight of the dragon shifting form, when he saw the mage with her dragon wings, Jake shuffled back a bit. "No... no no... I am seeing things... My mind is playing tricks... I need to get out of here... fast!" He said as he quickly jumped up and began to make a mad dash for the forest. "This is not happening... I must be dead... This is just a nightmare..."

Mage sighed a bit as she put her hand over her face and shook her head a bit before sighing again and snapping her fingers making Jake levitate a bit so he wasn't running. "Why do you run from me warrior? You know who I am and you should have known I was a dragon mage by now... I will not harm you so why run in fear?" she asked with a sigh as she moved over to Jake and stared at him a bit her wings beating the air a little though she was only hovering slightly.

When saw that he was getting nowhere, he stopped trying and drew his sword. "Because I don't care what sort of mage you are or not, magic is never to be trusted, even by a dragon itself." She grumbled as he glared at her from where he was stuck. "And seeing you can shift form, what is to stop me from being tricked again? What if it turns out, every animal who comes close to me is you?" He asked the female and then growled a little. "How can I trust something that isn't normal? I mean, what if you kill me once your bored of messing up my head?"

(I'M SSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SORRY!!!! I thought I replied T~T I guess I either did it in my sleep or looked at this while I was asleep T~T partially that is XP )

Mage snorted a bit when she heard him and set him lightly on the ground as she came in front of him. "I normally only will take the form of a dragon or a bird so you really don't have to worry about that now do you? And magic can be trusted but it's normally not and that's because, one, allot of people don't understand it and they fear or misstrust what they don't understand, or two, the people they've seen use magic before didn't know how to use it well and ended up getting someone hurt or killed so that person doesn't trust them nor anyone else with magic again... though I myself am very good at magic and know very well how to control it... my age could tell you that much." she explained then sighed

"Do you or do you not wish to be free of this curse?" she asked with a slight sigh as she crossed her arms and watched as the small dragons came up to Jake and rubbed their little heads against him cooing at him a bit in their own tongue seeming to like him even though they knew that he was the one that killed their mother... well the oldest dragon, which was a girl, did not come even remotely close to him and kept two small pips close to her and with her tail and wings around them.

(It is okay, I may take a while because I have got a writers block -.- I hate them loads.)

Jake listened to the mage with a raised eyebrow as he shook his head a little. "I will choose not to believe you on that yet due to the fact I still don't trust you... As for magic, I have never ever trusted it and I shall not trust it now." He informed her as he let out a small sigh looking at the dead dragon again as he remembered the battle as if it had only just happened.

Hearing her question, the dragon warrior sighed again and looked back to the mage. "What makes you ask that? You knew from the start I did, yet you chose not to help me... I do not need your help now." He said to her before looking down at the small dragons that were rubbing against him, he first instinct was to jump back, but instead he knelt down and began to rub their little heads with a small smile on his face. "I am sorry little ones... If I could... I would bring your mother back to life." He said looking to the older dragon with a sigh. "You are a wise dragon to keep your distance... I am the only monster in this area..."

"Well I never flat out said I wouldn't help you... and now I can see that you truly are sorry and wish no harm on these dragons nor do you seem to hate them... you are worthy of the cure for that reason. So if you wish to be cured then you need to come with me... though we need to go get some things before we set out to where we need to go." Mage said thinking a bit though was sure that Jake would at least be a little happy to know that she would actually help him.

Jake listened to the mage while he petted the small dragons, seeing how they didn't fear him made him wonder. Did he really want to be human again? "Well... I guess I will go with you... But you still do not have my trust until you earn it." He informed her as he gave each baby dragon one last pat on the head before he stood up and looked to the mage. "So then... Let us venture forth to the next town. But you will have to buy the things we need due to the fact I shall have to wait outside." He said sighing again, he was a little annoyed at the way people ran at the sight of him.

"Oh we don't need to go to buy the things that we need I have plenty of supplies at home... and no none of them have had anything done to them so you don't have to worry about that." Mage said softly and hoped that Jake didn't take offense to that or whatever. As she thought she was planning out how everything would go though knew that she would only need to pack enough supplies for the journey there for the both of them then the journey back for one... though she wasn't about to tell Jake yet what would happen when they got to the dragon temple... she didn't really want him to freak about it.
