All female casts.
 

What's everyone's opinions on games with all female (or male) casts? Whether or not the creators researched the female/male body and mind or not. (Making them realistic I mean, since everyone wants them to be believable.)

I don't think I've ever come across that before.... Can you think of an example?

Well I love the Metroid games and they star Samus Aran.
In most of the games she's the only character. Does that count? xD

All female casts? O.o

All female? The only one that comes to mind is FFX-2, I didn't mind it but most fans hated it it seems.. It's very stero typical girly and cheesy, but it's the light hearted cheese that it doesn't take itself to seriously cheese.
There's lots of all games.... Not going to bother, we all know ha.

I can't think of any really realistic connectable lead female character off the top of my head though. The characters from Heavy Rain where pretty well developed, male and female.. I'm sure there's good examples though.

If you ignore the weirdo Mamoru/Darien in Sailor Moon, then they have an all-female cast (of heros). Does that white cat count?

What would a "realistic" female character be in a game then?

Hyperdimension Neptunia, Arcana Heart, Princess Minerva (Never released in the states)

Hyperdimension Neptunia is one of the most annoying games in existence. Purely because of all female cast. They always make the females really squealy and girly, drives me mad. >/ My first thought was, the game was clearly made for males, because they go on about their boobs a ton at the start, but then I realised, why would males put up with playing the game with all the irritating women in it? So I have no idea what audience that game was aimed at. o:

Except for the bad guys and Hummy the cat, Suite Precure has a majority female cast.
Cute show, too. Too bad episode 49 (final) is upon us very soon.

If you thought HDN is bad MK2 (The so called 'revision' is worse) Even though I love the game, I don't care for the stuff they added onto it. I think it also depends on the creator whether an all female cast anime/game is perverted or not. But I wouldn't know since most of the time I don't know who the creator of these things are >.>

I've noticed all female cast games tend to be on ps3.
Which goes with my, ps3 is so male/perv orientated. xD

With the All Male side of things the only game that I can think of is Brink, it was brought up in a few reviews and the reviewers and the fans didn't like this, that's all I can think of... :/

Call of Duty is all male cast(if you don't count the civies that run around and get in your way). At least, for the majority it is. I don't recall ANY female Marines, or any other unit. Rainbow Six Vegas is also a male cast game(even though you could change your character to be female to increase agility).

Don't think Ive ever seen a North America release that is all female though.

But they're all male games that are still aimed at males, (although I do know plenty of girls who play them).
I want an all male game aimed at girls. 8]

Well the 360 has some all female cast games.

Otomedius Excellent, Onechanbara, Deathsmiles though those last two have bad male characters.

That statement....its why I secretly believe intelligence is something the human race is greatly lacking these days.

And in all honesty, that statement is so off the mark its not even hitting the map sitting 5miles to the WEST of it. Games have no relation(99.999% of the time) to a persons sexual preference, and thus has no place in this discussion...but that could just be the way I see it.

All male cast, male orientated games are purely made for men's power hungry sprees.
You can tell they're not gay based because the main characters and whole gameplay is just about power.
There's nothing gay about them. There's no form of emotion involved, just cold killing.

Well I heard Gust is making an otome game, or whatever that is where the MC is a girl surrounded by many guys, I think it was Gust I dunno...

I can imagine it being a Gust game.
It's the sort of thing they'd do.
But it's still not good enough. >/
