This one is incomplete, but I don't think I'll get around to finishing this doodle. I need to study for my midterms this week and I have the shortest attention span in the world. Of course, this means that I'll probably be bored of this sketch once they're all done.

At first I was thinking this thread was really more of an audition ... or volunteering basically to be a pixel artist for Mene and help Wishy out, not really a place to learn how to pixel....if that makes sense...

There's not many now, but if it's getting long, you could always separate things by the item.
Like full outfits, tops, bottoms, shoes, accessories, and misc. :lol:

Haha, thanks. And anyone can do whatever they want with these images--although I'm not really sure they'll want to... lol, the base lines are so terrible.

It's really fun to do these though. From now on, I'm going to make a sketch of any suggestions that I make so that I can get my ideas across better.

I also just realized that the 'sketch' I posted was before I cleaned up the pixels a bit. So the lines are even worse there than on the other two colored images. Just an FYI if you decide to play around with it.

Yes but this thread is about one specific person becoming a pixel artist. There are a lot of users that have expressed not wanting a variety of random styles, and a great concern for quality. (not saying anyone's stuff is bad) I was just under the impression that mene wanted to hire or maybe hopefully one would volunteer to be a secondary artist. Do you think it would be more likely to hold a contest for one or two items and then users can pick the ones that get put in to use?

Hate to be a downer, but shading is what makes pixeling, pixeling~

It's the hardest part~

I'm trying to make it a little more clear on the front page, maybe you guys should look over the front page while the construction is in process? Let me know what you guys want me me to have up there. I don't really know anything about pixeling myself so I want your guy's input!

@Siri I had a go at shading one of your pixels :) I hope it hasn't turned out as an insult to your work -sweatdrop-

I know the shading isn't wonderful but it could have turned out a lot worse lol

Shading's not bad, actually!
just need a little more contrast horizontally~ and it'll be really good

My input would be, It would be nicer with dithering blending.
