Thinking about it a moment she stuck her tongue out at him briefly, "Very well. That armor is very important to me, you'd better not let it get ruined" she commented as they entered the inn.

Reaching the room he had bought she took a peek out the window. Clearly this girl was a bit overly cautious of he surroundings.

He laughed at her as she stuck her tongue out at him and walked with her up to her room at the inn. "I'm not sure what you're used to but I thought this view might be ideal for seeing who's coming and going until you're able to leave this town." he said putting her armor on the floor at the foot of the bed. "From what I saw you still have a lot of blood on you. I could get the innkeeper to bring up a tub and some hot water if you'd like to clean up. I'll go scoot for a blacksmith while you're busy doing that." he said looking out the window.

"Yes, it's a good view" she nodded in agreement, "A bath would be lovely. Thank you" she turned to smile at him, "for all your help. I owe you a debt."

He smiled and bowed his head before leaving the room. He requested a tub and hot water from the innkeeper and laid a coin on the counter. The innkeeper nodded at the request and Dago left the inn and started to walk the streets in search of a blacksmith.

A good ten minutes later the innkeeper went up the stairs with a bucket of water, followed by two boys that looked like they were in their teens they carried a wooden tub that looked well used. A couple of minutes later the innkeeper knocked on Zeta's door and placed the bucket of steaming water to the side of the door. "You're tub miss!" they called out stepping out of the way of the two boys.

Zeta leaned against the window frame, watching the people bustle about below. It was almost mesmerizing, watching them, like ants that just follow the paths of their lives forever.
The knock on the door immediately snapped her out of her daze as she reached for her sword out of instinct. Upon hearing what it was about she relaxed and tucked her sword and armor out of view before opening the door for them. "Thank you" she spoke softly as she stepped aside for them, "Please bring it in."

"Set the tub up, add this water and bring the bucket back down with you." the man instructed and then made his way back down stairs. The boys nodded at him and did as they were told. Placing the tub towards the corned, diagonal from the bed. One of them empties the steaming water into the tub and then the two of the go back down stairs.

About ten minutes later and about two trips a piece later the three of them had the tub filled with steaming hot water. The innkeeper stood in the hall, his two helpers disappeared down the hall. "Anything else you need miss?

Zeta stood at the back of the room with her back facing the window as she watched them set everything up. A warm bath, she couldn't stop staring at the tub. It had been so long since she'd had a warm bath and to watch the steam rise from the water made her knees feel weak.
Offering the man a smile as he addressed her, Zeta shook her head in reply, "no thank you. This is wonderful."
As soon as the man left and the door closed behind him, Zeta turned sharply on her heel, drew the curtains closed, threw her clothing off and tip-toed into the tub, settling down with a deep, relaxed sigh.
Closing her eyes, she lost track of time, letting the water wash away her aches and pains and lull her into a comfortable daze.

ooc: sorry it took so long life stuff happened

ic: It took awhile for Dago to finally find the blacksmith, the shop was tucked away towards the far edges of town. The shop appeared blackened from years of smoke buildup. It made Dago wonder if the blacksmith was an expert at his craft or just careless and kept a dirty shop. Either way he was more then ready to put the armor down it had easily gained nearly 50 pound during the trip.

Finding an empty counter inside he put the armor down and was greeted by the blacksmith. About 10 minutes later he haggled a reasonable prize and left the shop leaving the blacksmith to his work. With that done Dago decided to wonder around and take in more of the town he also hoped to over hear some of the townspeople talking about the beast he saw last night.

The water began to cool and finally Zeta opened her eyes to find that a significant part of the day had passed. At last she clambered out of the bath and dried off, becoming clothed again.
Fixing up her bandages she found it hard to stay still. The bath had lasted her long enough but she was beginning to get antsy with being in that one room too long.

Fastening her sword around her waist she strolled out of the inn and went searching for an open area. Coming across a large patch of field just outside the village she knelt down in the tall grass and unsheathed her sword, laying it across her lap.

Breathing deeply as the wind blew across her face she grasped the hilt of the sword and drew to her feet, swinging it wide and then cutting it across short. Zeta began to go through the motions of her sword practice, up until the point when she extended her arm too far and the pain from her wound shot up her side. with a sharp yelp she dropped her sword and fell to one knee cursing the air around her.

Finally making his way back to the inn and up to Zetas room and finding out that she's gone he makes his way back to the street and goes off to find her. Thinking at first that she may have gone off to look for the blacksmith he heads off that way. When he doesn't see her he heads back to the inn.

When he finally got back to the inn again he thought he heard a faint scream in the distance and quickly head off towards it. Reaching the area he thought he heard the scream coming from he quickly spots Zeta and goes over to her. "You ok?" as asks kneeling beside her. "Let me help you back to the doctor." he says offering her a hand up.

"I'm fine" Zeta replied, waving him off and taking up her sword again, using it more like a crutch to get back to her feet. "I can handle it... damned body just takes forever to heal. If I can't swing a sword, I'm useless" she hissed angrily, getting rather frustrated, more at herself than him.

Sighing deeply she did end up leaning against him for support, "I apologize. I'm being a terrible burden for you right now. I really appreciate your help but you likely have many other things that you need to be doing with your life that do not involve a wayward girl."

"You're to hard on your self it's barely been a full day since you were injured last night." he says letting her lean on him. "I'm here at least until night fall when I would guess the beast from last night might make another appearance. Please let me help you back to the inn. You need to let your self heal fully. It must be getting close to diner by now." he smiles kindly at her.

Sighing heavily the girl finally nodded in agreement, "very well, I suppose you have a point. Still, I dislike feeling so incredibly helpless. It's just a scratch." she cringed and wrapped her arm around her waist, "a rather painful scratch... stupid Shadow Beast"
Zeta allowed him to help her back to the inn where she could sit down again and check on her bandages. They were holding well thankfully so they didn't need to be changed again. Her stomach was growling a bit loudly to be fed however.

"I think its more then just a scratch that doctor had to sew your side up." after helping her back to the inn and to one of the tables. "We should try and hear if any of these towns people have had a run in with the beast." he whispered to her and looked around at a couple of others who were sitting at other tables.

"A deep scratch then" Zeta argued with a touch of humor in her tone, "and if anyone had a run in with the beast, I'm fairly sure they would either be dead or have a mark to show for it." she cast her eyes across the room, a somewhat curious expression crossing her features, "actually... there's usually more panic in the air if the beast has been nearby... I get the feeling that it isn't here, nor has it been. I think it's already moved on passed here, which means I need to get moving as well"

He looks at her and crosses his arms and he leans back against the wall. "You're right but there may be some rumors or gossip about it in town. But I don't think I've heard of this monster passing a town without bothering it. Have you?" he nods at her. "It might be worth while to find some horses it'll help make up for lost time. If you'll allow me to give you some friendly advice I think you should see the doctor before you go... Maybe he can make sure you're healing ok and give you some fresh bandages and offer some herbs to speed up the healing." he says looking out the window.

After a moment of pause she nodded, "Very well" she sighed, "I will visit the doctor before we leave, but I'll be damned if I let this thing get too far from me. Especially now that I've gotten so close to it again."

He nods. "I know it's going to hard but lets try to get a good nights sleep first. Then if you'll let me I'll help you to the good doctor. I'll go check on your armor and look for fresh horses in the morning."

The innkeeper comes over to see what they want. "I'll have whatever is on the fire please." the woman nods and looks over at Zeta waiting for her order.

"I'll have the same" zeta replied to the waitress, "and some water if you will, please"
Turning back to her new friend she offered the man a smile, "Such a voice of reason you are. I haven't had one of those in awhile."

He laughs. "It's easy to want to rush into things." he says looking around at the other people sitting at other tables. "How are you at flirting?" he asks spotting two men sitting at a table near the wall. From their rough look and clothes they looked like hunters. They didn't seem to have much with them so Dago guessed they lived here. "I think if our monster has been here even in passing they would know. They might be able to point us in the right direction.

Zeta stifled a laugh, "Flirting, now there's something I haven't been taught." she looked over to where the hunters sat and made a face, "they aren't even attractive. Can we not just simply ask them? What's the point of flirting anyway?"

"You're a girl. I don't think it's a taught skill. It's more likely that you'll get more out of them by applying some of your womanly charm then if we threaten them. And I'm not asking you to bed any of them just get them to talk and see what they say." he says as the woman behind the counter comes back with their food.

Laughing, she took a drink and then got to her feet, although paused to look her companion in the eye, "alright, I will attempt this 'flirting' device you speak of, but don't say I didn't warn you" she grinned a little and walked over to the men alone.
Hardly five minutes later there was yelling and table flipping involved as Zeta punched of the guys right in the eye before the other two grabbed her arms and yanked her away from him. "YOU LILLY-LIVERED SCUM BAG! COME ON! You afraid of losing to a girl?! huh?!"

He grins watching her talk over to the men. He sits there watching the seen unfold as he eats his food while it's still warm. He chuckles to himself as it looks like the conversation appears to get heated. When Zeta punches one of them Dago spit out the mouth full of food he had and coughs as he laughs. Digging out some money he places it on the table but continues to eat as he waits to see what will happen next.

Zeta winced as one of them pulled her arm back the wrong way, she was after all still injured although that didn't seem to stop her from fighting back. Twisting her wrist she managed to slip out of the hold and drop down to the floor. Sweeping her leg around she quickly tripped the two that had been trying to hold onto her and then she spun back to her feet and grabbed the steak knife from the table to point it at the last man standing. "What was it you wanted from me then?" she demanded with a fire in her eyes.

"u-uh, nothing! Sheesh you bitch! Get outta my face!" the man stammered in response.

Zeta smirked and threw the knife with a flick of her wrist, the blade implanting itself in a support beam next to the man's head. "Yeah, I thought so." she spun in her heel and walked back passed Dago, grabbing her coat off her chair and heading out the door.
