"You haven't eaten breakfast." Kitty says finishing her toast. "And I'm not getting up to you have at least a piece of toast.
'Nobody knows how she reads, and it really isn't that important.' He says starting to eat. He had gotten them each a cup of coffee as well. |
"But I wanna go now" Kurt whined like a little kid as he turned on his holograph watch. He grabbed a piece of toast from the center of the table and stuck it in his mouth while trying to say "Come on" Erik watched him and laughed a little 'Kids these days don't know how to slow down' and then Erik heard Charles 'True, it's just interesting is all' everyone was different in their own way. Erik dranked the coffee, he liked his black, most didn't, but, he did. 'So what is there to do today with everyone on their own?' Erik thought to him.

Kitty rolls her eyes at him still sitting down. "I'm not done yet so you might as well have a seat."
'Very true.' He thinks for a moment. 'We could always wander the estate.' They had enjoyed that when they had been together here before. He remembers back. He remembers the moment that Erik had moved the satellite dish. That was the moment when he found himself falling for his friend. He had planned on leaning in and kissing Erik, but right before he did Moria had interrupted them. |
Kurt sighs sitting next to her waiting for her to finish up eating, he ate his toast and sat there waiting. He was still a kid at heart even though he was older.
'Alright sounds good' Erik spoke remembering back then when he had to but Charles enough to hold a gun to his head. He flashed back to some of the different scenes from back then, like the time that Erik jumped in the ocean water to go after the guy who killed his mother. Though he forgot to block his mind out before thinking of it. 'Do you miss the past?' Eric asked Charles. |
'Yes and no.' He sends back. He too remembers that first time they had met.
Soon Kitty finishes. "Alright. I'm done." |
Kurt jumps up and smiles taking Kitty's hand and pulling her out of the kitchen excited to finally be going to this German culture festival. Then again he was German so that could explain why he wanted to go.
Erik focused his thoughts to think alone rather than with his friend, he was wondering how much things had changed in the mansion, and now that they were working together again. He wondered if anything did change. 'Is the mansion the same as before or have you changed it?' Erik smiled making conversation. |
'Updated the technology. Added some new training rooms. The most impressive of which is the Danger Room.' He sends with a smile. He eats his food, noticing Erik hadn't touched his.

Erik was busy thinking, though he does take a bite of his food, he normally doesn't eat breakfast. He kept eating while lost in thought, he was thinking of everything happening since last night, before that, and wondered what would lie in their future. Half of his plate was eaten, though he stopped after that, not eating every morning can make someone sick when they got to eat something even if it is good.

Charles sense he is done and starts cleaning up. He wonders how things would have been different if he had let Erik know his feelings back then. He truly missed those days. Because even though they were preparing for a war, those were some of the happiest days of his life.

Erik waited for Charles to clean up, but, then he said "I'll be right back, we'll tour once I'm done, I need to clean up" Erik said out loud and went upstairs to take a hot shower, once he was done, he left the room after changing into blue jeans, a navy blue turtleneck and a brown jacket just like back then. Even his shoes were the same. He hadn't worn these clothes in forever, but, he did keep a hold on them.

Charles finishes cleaning up and then waits for him. He smiles his eyes shining when he sees the outfit he's wearing. "Oh Erik." he whispers out loud. Tears of joy run down his cheeks. 'It looks good on you my friend.' He sends with smile.

Erik jumps not expecting to be seen in the outfit, almost forgetting that he was wearing it. "Oh" Erik silently exclaimed adding mentally 'Thanks, I wanted to keep this as a momentum, looks like it still fits, a bit tighter though than I remember' that only was because Erik got a little it bulkier.

Charles enjoys the silence as the move through the mansion and the grounds. They stop at the spot where Erik had moved the satellite from. 'You know if Moria had interrupted I was planning on kissing you that day.' He sends softly.

Erik looked at the satellite dish, it was still out there surprisingly. 'You were?' Erik wondered what would happen if Charles had kissed him back then, how would he have reacted, and what would have been prevented back then? But, you shouldn't ever mess with the matters of time.

'Yes.' He says taking Erik's hand. 'I wonder how things would have been different if I had gotten the chance.' He spots Angel (as in Warren) flying through the sky and smiles. That young man had over come much adversity in his own young life.

'I wouldn't change what happened back there, no matter how much I wish it' Erik knew that changing the past also meant changing the future. Neither of them would be here right now, nor would they probably feel this way, it could be stronger probably, but, that was basically it. Unless fate had something else in mind.

'Oh I know. I just always have wondered.' He just looks up at his friend. How he wishes he could stand next to him. But he knows that is a wish that will never come true.

'Have you ever tried talking to another mutant about that?' Erik asked unsure if he made himself clear or not about Charles legs. Though there was different ways that things could be done to heal, fix, or just upgrade those ideas. But, Erik figured Charles never just wanted to walk again, maybe it was just something he grew used to, but, if he walked again he could accomplish so much more like they used to without any problems.

'I've talked to humans and mutants alike. Nobody can seem to find away to help me walk.' He sends sadly. He had been trying ever since he had been confined to a wheel chair. And there was nothing anybody could do to help him.

'We'll figure something out, I promise' Erik sends back standing by his friend's side and taking his hand 'I will do everything I can in my power to help you' Erik sent again leaning over to kiss his friend, no one was around since most were at the festival.

'I feel so useless in this thing.' He says holding tight to his friends hand. He returns the kiss with a soft moan.

A few weeks had gone by, Erik hadn't had any nightmares since Nightmare quit going to sleep so much when others were around, she hadn't been at the mansion much but figured the move she moved the more she would stay awake and the less her powers would act up. Erik tries each time to get her to stay and let him help out, but, she wouldn't have it and moved to England for a short time then went to see the world. Erik stayed with Charles, Jean was with Logan, and Scott quit coming over, let alone having any contact with the mansion or anyone within it. Even though he still wanted Jean, Emma wouldn't have that, not if he wanted to be with her. The weeks were quick, everyone was busy, Erik helped out with finding other mutants, and studying for how to help his friend to walk again. |
Charles was taking Scott's leaving and his silence hard. As much as he tried to hide it, it still ate at him. It was also hard on him when Nightmare had left the mansion. And even though Jean had returned, it still sometimes felt as if everything was falling apart on him. He and Erik though, that at least was something going right. Erik had moved into Charles' room, as it was the master making it bigger. He was also touched at the Erik was working so hard to find away for him to walk again.
