Ooh, it sounds nice. :') That might be next on my Amazon food list.

I love honey and almond turkish delight, but I've not seen any locally, not since Woolies closed >< I miss the pick n mix :c |
I used to miss the pick and mix too! But then Tesco (I have a love hate relationship with that shop) installed a station. Now I try and fit in as many obscure items into my tub as I can. So far I've had a gingerbread man, a dairy milk and a nobbly bobbly. :')
That's the only reason I complain. The option of discounts or free things appeals greatly to me! ;D |
Let us now if you score anything decent! |
I was in the candy aisle today and saw a willy wonka candy that I felt I should mention to you: bottle caps. They're little candies shaped like bottle caps (durr) and they taste like sodas. The cola and root beer ones are the best. I don't eat candies, but if someone hands me a little pack of bottle caps, you bet I'm gonna eat those.
|
I like milk bottles! Do you have milk flavour gummy sweets over there? I want some right now, now :c

Bottle caps sound so good  I don't know if I'll rush to buy them though, I'm really disappointed with Everlasting Gobstoppers too.
Milk bottles are lovely! I was going to buy some of them on Amazon too! |
I still want some! I'd like to sit in bed and eat them, just because :ninja:
|
I've never seen those, sounds interesting. :O But if they're gummy, they're probably made with gelatin, so none for me.
|
They might be, they're not gummy in the way that gummy bears are, they're much softer than that. But I'd say there's definitely going to be gelatin in them all the same.
Just asked our good friend Google, all milk bottle varieties have bits of cow in them. Figures really, as they're milk bottles :ninja: |
I'd say they're more foamy in texture than gummy.
Are you vegetarian, Cherry? |
She is, Cherry shuns the bacon :o
|
My dad just became a vegetarian last month, after fifty-one years of meat loving fun. :gonk: I can't imagine a life without chicken.
|
It will do his insides good. All those nasty statistics about the pounds of undigested red meat, that lurk in the gut of the average unsuspecting eater of a western diet :gonk:
|
He said he was considering it for a while, and after attending a hog-roast, made the switch.
|
Yeah, it had been something I was thinking about doing "in the future" for a while, but one day I woke up and just could not bring myself to eat meat anymore, my conscience couldn't handle another bite. That was a little over a year ago. It makes things hard sometimes because they put bits of dead animals in crazy things (like gummy candy), but I don't regret it, I feel great. :D I've discovered vegetables I might not have tried otherwise, and I've had to learn how to cook. But I still live with my parents so I have the added bonus of being able to go "MOMMY, HELP" if said cooking isn't going well and I need someone experienced.
I don't miss meat. The smell of bacon can get to me, but almost all other meats smell absolutely disgusting to me now. It's amazing, you stop eating it and then it begins to smell like cooked ass. And I've got a pretty good soy bacon that helps the occasional bacon craving, and Boca makes a really good "chicken" patty, which is nice since I used to love those. |
I've tried Quorn before but that tasted a little like rubber to me.
I'm not too fond of most vegetables, I'm more of a fruit fan. It's actually on my bucket list to try a dragon fruit. They're supposed to be disgusting, but they're such a vivid purple colour I want one! |
I've never had Quorn, none of the shops I go to sell it. Boca's "chicken" patties are dead ringers for chicken, though. Sometimes I cook one up and I'm sort of in my head, then when I take a bite I think "oh jesus, did I get a real chicken patty by accident?!" I've had a few other people (who aren't vegetarians) try a bite of them and they've thought they were really good, better than some brands of real chicken. With real chicken you sometimes get those funny bits where there's a gross strip of fat in it or something like that. No such problems here. :D
Aww, that's a shame. If you're ever in the states I'll make you some veggie soup that'll change your mind, alright? |
I might keep an eye out for them, just to test. Chicken is my all time favourite meat. Every meal I've had for the past two weeks has involved chicken.
I'll be sure to take you up on that offer! Soup and free food are two of my favourite things! :eager: |
Naked cutlets take care of my chicken cravings. You can't overcook them though otherwise they taste like poo. I BBQ them, bake them, and even battered some and put them in a deep fryer before. So good and in my opinion better than real fried chicken.
