The map put us over sixty miles west of where we are, but it's really not that surprising, our little town doesn't even show up on maps a lot of the time, lol.
Anyway, This is a neat idea, it's cool to see how far spread Mene's users are. |
I see your tag, Kat! 8D
I've established that I must be the West Calder tag. |
I still can't figure out if I'm showing up in the visitors list, lol.
Is there someone else on here who is from Honolulu and I didn't know it or forgot? Because I surely didn't go on until a minute or two ago but it shows that someone an hour ago went on and they are from Honolulu. That's so cool!
And I wonder who on here is from Hartford, Connecticut? That's where my two aunts, uncle, three cousins, and 1st cousin live. We don't click on anything, right? It just updates with our location automatically? Because either it said I am from Kihei, Hawaii when I am from Honolulu, or I clicked wrong? Or it's someone else? |
It updates automatically. (:
Seito is in Hawaii [yes]
Nice! It was very close to where I actually live. I'm only a couple minutes from where it said lol
This is really cool ^^ |
Then how come it tagged me 100% wrong? I mean, same state, sure, but wrong part of state?
I have no idea, I don't know how it actually works :)
The internet is silly. It always tries to put me in Cranston or Providence, both of which are wrong. But Rhode Island is so small, I guess it doesn't matter.
Anyway, I think the place it tags you has something to do with the source of your internet, not your actual location. So unless you live in a bigger town where the internet is right there, it's going to place you at that magical node of tubes. |
Yup, I'm pretty sure it's gonna be to do with your ISP, so it depends on how accurate that is [yes]
What do you mean where the internet is right there?
Seito got tagged in the place I live, so it's weird that I can't be tagged there as well. |
Seito's at school right now [ninja]
Large towns wil have internet "things" right there. Smaller places will get routed through the larger towns. So the people who live in the smaller places, will show up as living in the places where the internet originates from [yes] |
Just as I figured, vast majority are from the US. However, it'll definitely be interesting to see later once the hour is up whether there will be others from other timezones and so forth.
I don't know, it's just irks me that it won't tag me in Honolulu when someone else was able to be tagged there, but it's ok. It's not like it's a big deal.
I don't think Seito is in Honolulu. Actually, I'm pretty convinced that she isn't [ninja]
Aww poo. Well, then this map is not 100% accurate. I guess it's just to show how many people like in the US, UK, etc.
I'm from Aotearoa (New Zealand) Which is Maori for "Land of the Long White Cloud", because that's all they saw of the country when they arrived.
I'm sad. I'm still not showing up. ): WHERE AM I? *cries*
That's interesting Carzeebear. Now, I'm just wondering one thing, since it's a Maori name does it have any particular way for pronunciation or is it pronouced the way it looks?
@NeyzaKC, you probably need to wait a few minutes for your location to show up. :) |
I can't tell if I'm showing up ether, lol.
There I am! :boogie: A bit on the south side, but it's cool. XD
@Mew: The map isn't too far off though. :/
Ohh someone lives in Waioru NZ, whoop another kiwi ^^
