Ikori watched Lalage for a moment when the faery began to move silently. Gesturing for Ikori to also be quiet. The dog blinked at him and watched Lalage crawl beneath a spiderweb. As quietly as he could, Ikori followed his master, his tail wagging a bit behind him. This had the scent of adventure to it. Ikori wasn't sure he liked that scent or not, also a not very pleasant scent came to his nose. He wrinkled it a bit and sniffed at the air, testing the scent. Then Lalage was speaking, and Ikori's ears twitched. Catching the sound of movement before the spider showed itself. His head tilted to the side for a moment, then he licked Lalage's face before wriggling out of the faery's arm. The dog put himself between Lalage and the spider, and regarded the large spider the way he would regard any other spider. Disinterest. Ikori barked at the big arachnid and huffed lightly. Of course the dog had never seen a spider that large before, but he wasn't impressed or intimidated by such a thing. It was a spider, he was certain he could squash it if it ever tried to harm his master.
|
The spider queen let out a huff. "I suppose granting you safety wouldn't be too much of a chore." And that was that. The large spider heaved up her body upon a slender thread of white. Lalage watched the whole scene in silent amazement. Laughter bubbled forth from his throat. Crawling forward to hug Ikori, he buried his face in the dog's fur.
"Oh you did so wonderfully, all the others will be easy to impress I'm sure." He would have said so much more, but he was too relieved to do so and just wanted to stay where he was. Bringing up his knees beneath him, the fae thought for a few seconds about something before laughing once more. Divesting himself of his shirt, Lalage stood and looked down at his pet, his friend, with a playful grin. From his back burst forth wings of a brilliant purple and blue hue veined with black. It wasn't everyday he decided to show anyone his wings, they were so much a part of who he was. Turning around, he flapped them carefully as he knelt so that Ikori could take a nice long look. |
Ikori snorted lightly as he watched the spider crawl away, still showing nothing but disinterest. Small spiders were easy enough to deal with, so a big spider should be as well. Right? Ikori barked softly and licked Lalage's face for a few moments as the faery hugged him, his tail wagging happily behind him. His ears perked up quite a bit, his tail wagged a little faster when Lalage had praised him. Ikori had been wonderful. He was such a good dog. Faeries were so much easier to please than humans, and less complicated it seemed.
When Lalage removed his shirt, Ikori's head tilted to the side a bit, curious. He wasn't sure what his master was doing until the wings popped out. They were such pretty colors, strong and healthy looking too. Ikori sat up straight and puffed out his chest a bit, muzzle parted and his tongue lolling out to one side as those blue eyes drank in the sight of his faery. Such a pretty faery. With wings to be proud of. Ikori loved them, they were so beautiful. The dog barked his approval, tail wagging fast behind him. |
"Would you like to touch them? Just be careful if you do." For some reason he was immeasurably pleased at Ikori's reaction. A light blush tinged the faerie's pale cheeks as he glanced back to see his dog. It was so hard to think of Ikori as that, when to him it appeared like he was so much more. Settling down comfortably in a sitting position, Lalage hummed a happy little tune while the wind played lightly with his hair. The forest's mossy floor felt softer then any beds the humans could ever come up with, and begged to be used as such.
It was far too early for that, and there was still so much to do. The centaurs would have to see Ikori in both forms so they knew not to harm him as a trespasser , and the same could be said about the nagas that sometimes passed trough the parts. Those would be the next two places the visited, then it would finally be time for play again. Exploring the forest, flitting trough the trees . Or at least, Lalage would be doing so. Flying around sounded like so much fun, but that would mean leaving Ikori behind upon the ground. |
Ikori did and didn't want to touch Lalage's wings. He knew they were strong wings, but still they would be delicate and he wasn't sure his touch would be gentle or careful enough for them. Instead of touching those wings, when Lalage sat down, Ikori ran his tongue up Lalage's spine, between the wings. The dog only touched flesh and then he walked around Lalage to lick his face and whine happily at him. He did want to see Lalage fly, and chase him while he flew. That seemed like it would be a fun game to him. Ikori had shown Lalage his human form, albeit completely by accident, he hadn't been ready to reveal such a thing. Now Lalage had shown him his wings. He nuzzled the faery and licked his face a few more times. Ears up and tail wagging.
|
The faerie's eyes widened at the sensation of a cool, wet, something running up and down his spine. Shivering slightly, Lalage took in a deep calming breath just as his pet was licking his face and making happy sounds. Grinning the fae reached out to ruffle the dog's fur. Somehow it seemed like Ikori wanted to run, but then again he was already cuddling against Lalage again. Letting out a teasing sigh, he wrapped his arms around the dog. Blowing lightly in Ikori's ears, the fae wondered what was going trough his companion's mind. The simplest things made him so happy! It was almost a relief to the fae after seeing and hearing how sad he'd been before.
"You're happier this way, aren't you? As a dog I mean." He was a dog either way, but there was such a big difference in the way Ikori acted. The fae buried his face in the dog's fur, it was so soft and smooth. It smelled good too, like the forest and dusty roads with a hint of the city. That made Lalage sneeze but still he leaned against his friend with a small smile. Remembering the feel of Ikori's skin against his own had made it quite obvious that he didn't want his friend to remain in his canine form all the time, but if he was happier that way who was Lalage to argue? |
Those ears twitched lightly when Lalage blew into them and Ikori pressed his wet nose against the faery's cheek. He loved the way it felt when Lalage ruffled his fur and hugged him, he nuzzled the faery a few more times. Contemplating the words his master had said. Ikori wasn't happier this way, it was just easier to hide the deep sadness in his heart, the pain that wouldn't go away. Though Lalage was doing a very good job of making that pain ease, and perhaps he could drive it away, but it would take time. Did Lalage prefer Ikori in his human form? The dog couldn't help but think back to what had happened in the pond. Lalage had seemed to like his human form.
Ikori pulled away from the faery, moving just a little ways away. He changed. Where the dog had stood, now stood the human. Shirtless and wearing only pants, but there was a smile on his lips. "...The only thing that makes me happy is having a sweet master.." He spoke the words softly, his right hand going to circle around his left wrist so he could rub the underside with a thumb. Lalage had healed his cuts, and he was certain Lalage would never give him a reason to cut. "...It's easier for me to express myself in my true form....and most of my masters liked me even less when they found out I could...trick them by disguising myself as one of them..." But Ikori had never tricked anyone, nor had he ever tried to. He stepped closer to Lalage and dropped to his knees beside him. His arms went around the faery and his fingertips very lightly, barely touching, ran delicately over his wings. Ikori pressed his face against Lalage's neck and nuzzled him, a soft dog-like whine of happiness escaping his throat. He only touched Lalage's wings briefly, not wanting to harm or irritate the lovely things. His hands moved down to rest lightly, uncertainly on Lalage's hips. He nuzzled his master one more time, then pulled back only enough to lick Lalage's cheek. |
The fae found himself smiling broadly even before he heard Ikori's words. Glancing at the dog's wrist briefly, he licked his lips and tried not to remember what the wounds had looked like before they'd been healed. Chuckling lightly, he shook his head. "I can't imagine you tricking anyone." Ikori was just too sweet to do that. Those fools, why had they hurt him so time and time again? Forcing his anger aside, Lalage locked his grey eyes upon his friend. He didn't want to hurt him.
A startled sound escaped his lips at the soft touch upon his wings. Eyes half closed the fae leaned into Ikori, bringing his hands up to pull the other man close. Lightly he brushed his lips against Ikori's shoulder, then moved to capture Ikori's with his own. The fae's wings fluttered lightly as a sound of utter contentment left his lips. He knew Ikori had probably realized just how much he liked this other form of his. In a way, Lalage felt like he was taking advantage of the dog which left a sour taste in his mouth. |
Another kiss. This one took Ikori completely by surprise, earlier Lalage had told him before doing that. But the faery was the master and Ikori was a good dog. He wriggled just slightly, his hands going up to Lalage's chest and just resting there. Much like before, Ikori pushed only weakly at his master and only for a moment. A blush crept up to his cheeks, and slowly Ikori pulled away. He didn't want to make his master angry and Lalage seemed to enjoy kissing him. "...My master...do you like me better when I look human?" It was a simple question and one filled with simple curiosity. Though Ikori felt he might already know the answer, he leaned forward, laying his forehead against Lalage's shoulder as he licked his lips. That lingering taste of his master on them. Ikori wasn't quite certain how he felt about being kissed, it made his cheeks red and his heart flutter in odd patterns. It made his body feel...different..but not in a bad way. Ikori decided he liked kissing, just a little bit.
|
For a few moments Lalage looked away from Ikori, taking comfort from the breeze dancing trough the trees and the smells of the forest. How to explain this to Ikori? Explaining it to himself was difficult enough. "I like you in both forms but," said Lalage as he turned his grey eyes to Ikori with a smile, " I can't kiss you like I want to when you're in your true form, I can't savor the taste of your skin or enjoy the feel of your hands." That would give him the impression that all the fae wanted was one thing, and that wasn't true. "I enjoy your company more then anything else though." Lalage had spent too much time alone, and blurted out his thoughts without thinking of the consequences. Perhaps if the other fae hadn't shunned him he might have been different, but in all likelihood that wouldn't have changed very much about him.
Lifting a hand he ran it gently trough Ikori's hair. Just having someone's company was worth anything. It was such a rare thing to find a person who didn't fear him or want to use him. The experience was a rather novel one for Lalage, and he savored every moment even the ones when he wasn't sure about himself and his actions, or his motives for that matter. |
Ikori lifted his head and smiled at Lalage. Of course, Ikori assumed that when Lalage spoke of the feel of his hands and skin, that the faery simply meant he enjoyed being hugged by Ikori. The dog had to admit, it was easier to hug in this form and it did feel nice to be enveloped in someone's arms. So clearly the faery loved being enveloped in Ikori's arms. The kissing part confused him only slightly, kissing was a human mating thing, a courtship thing. Animals didn't kiss, well not the way humans did. Apparently faeries kissed the way humans did, but was it also a mating thing for faery's? If so, Ikori was a dog..wouldn't that be..strange? He pushed those thoughts away and wrapped his arms around Lalage. Hugging him gently and nuzzling his neck softly. "...I think I understand.." When Lalage ran a hand through his hair, Ikori made a soft noise of contentment.
|
((He's so oblivious ... -_- ))
A rumble of gentle laughter started in Lalage's chest at the dog's words. "No, I don't think you do but you will. I don't want to rush things, so until you can figure it out things will stay as they are." Too soon, it was far too soon to push and prod towards one destination. For the moment the fae was content with how things were. Idyllic, one could say. The moment would shatter soon enough to change and shift into something else. Whether better or worse it was hard to tell, impossible really without the gift of foresight and even then it was a chancy thing. |
][well he is a dog. He doesn't put deep thought into much. but he can. He'll figure it out quickly enough.][
Ikori blinked, pulling back slightly from Lalage and tilting his head to the side as he contemplated what Lalage said. Then the dog shrugged. Either he would figure it out eventually or he wouldn't. Most likely, Ikori would have to be told exactly what it was he was misunderstanding. Then again...there had been that moment in the pond...was that what Lalage had meant? Ikori tried not to think about that, the memory of Lalage being so close to him while they were both naked brought a blush to his cheeks and he frowned. "...I am just a dog..." He spoke the words quietly to himself and stood. He reached down to offer his hand to help his master to his feet. Ikori's thoughts were on that moment in the pond, their nakedness and how close they had been. He knew what Lalage had wanted to do then, it made him shiver. Ikori had never been kissed until Lalage kissed him there at the pond, but Ikori had been raped before. Surely Lalage wouldn't do that to him, his master was a kind one. A faery. And he had stopped when Ikori said no at the pond. His free hand went up to his lips, fingertips brushing against them softly as he thought about the kisses. A bright blush on his cheeks. His fingers slipped down from his lips to the collar Lalage had put on him. There was a slight frown on his lips. "...I am just a dog....My master should not forget that." The words were spoken quietly. He had no right to speak to Lalage like that. |
((lol Yeah. *cuddles Ikori* Why does he have to be so cute?))
Perplexed for a few moments, the fae reached out to grasp Ikori's hand. After standing he let his grey eyes rest upon the dog for quite a long time. "No dog I've ever met before has ever acted the way you do. The loyalty, the kindness too but there's so much more to you then that." Or maybe that was just wistful thinking on Lalage's part. Gently, he reached out to untie the collar upon Ikori's neck. Letting it drop from his hands, he backed away from the dog with a small smile. "I'm not forcing you to stay, and I can't say that I won't kiss you again, or that I might never want to push too far even if it's clearly not what you want. Causing you more pain is the last thing I want to do Ikori, but I'm afraid that's what will happen." It didn't matter to him that Ikori had spoken up against him, in fact the fae was a little relieved. They were already such friends, and yet they'd known each other since yesterday only. How many more times would he have to tell Ikori that he wasn't making him stay, that he could leave at any time? He hoped that the dog would stay, but at the same time that he yearned for it the fae feared what might happen if Ikori did remain by his side. |
Ikori blinked at Lalage's words. Then, Lalage had never met a true dog. Dogs were supposed to be loyal and kind to their masters. He had to admit to himself though, he didn't like most dogs he had met in his life. When the faery untied the collar a small whimper escaped his throat before he could stop it. He took a step towards Lalage and stopped. "...My master..." He bent and picked up the collar, holding it out to Lalage. "...I...want to stay by your side." He stepped closer to Lalage, holding the collar. "...You're a very nice master...I want to stay with you. I won't leave unless you chase me off or abuse me.." Ikori whimpered softly at the faery.
|
Suddenly he realized why he was afraid. Reaching out he slipped the collar once more onto the dog's neck with a small smile. It was so hard to say no to Ikori. Imitating the dog's earlier actions he nuzzled the other's neck lightly. "Even after everything I said?" The amethyst haired fae wanted to make sure that this was really where Ikori wanted to stay. Frightening really, how much he wanted to make the dog happy so he could see that rare smile again. Lalage was shocked at himself really. Placing a light hand on Ikori's hip, he sighed softly.
|
Ikori did smile, if only briefly, when Lalage put the collar around his neck. "...You won't hurt me..." He spoke the words with such certainty. Ikori was confident that this faery wouldn't hurt him, at least not on purpose and not for fun. He wrapped his arms around Lalage and pulled him close. Ikori held to his master tightly for a few moments a soft noise of contentment escaping his throat. He was content, to be close to his master. Hugging was nice, and he was sure he would get used to the kissing. After all, kissing wasn't horrible. He nuzzled Lalage gently.
|
Chuckling lightly, Lalage ruffled Ikori's hair lightly as he pulled away. "I still need to introduce you to the centaurs so they won't hurt you. " With a grin he fluttered his wings lightly to hover above Ikori. "Come on, let's turn this into a game of hide and seek. I'll hide, and you try to find me." Without waiting for any word of agreement the faery flew away to find a hiding spot. Glimpsing a clearing with a few different fallen or hollow trees, Lalage landed and proceeded to hide himself within one of the large openings. The spot was closer towards their destination, it was far enough from the spiders and it was definitely peaceful with hiding spots galore.
|
Ikori smiled at Lalage, his eyes lighting up a bit at the idea of a game. Though perhaps a game of hide and seek wouldn't be fair for the faery. Ikori knew his master's scent well. It wouldn't be too hard for him to track and follow and find him. Still, it was a game and Ikori would enjoy it greatly. His master had already flitted off, Ikori's smile widened a bit as he moved to give chase. Of course Lalage could fly faster than he could run, but it was still fun. Running felt good. In this form or his true form, it didn't matter, running always felt good when he wasn't running away for his life.
He ran after Lalage. eyes bright and his lips parted slightly. He slowed when he entered the clearing of fallen and hollow trees. He glanced this way and that, looking for a sign of Lalage's passing, mostly he followed his nose. Sniffing at the air and moving off in a direction. He vaulted over a fallen tree and practically loped up to the one Lalage was hiding in. "Found you!" He poked his head in the opening with the intention of looking at his master and giving him a lick on the cheek. If he were in his other form his tail would have been wagging rapidly. |
The fae lay in wait crouched comfortably within the hollow tree. Of course he knew when Ikori was headed in his direction because of the collar, but decided to stay where he was if only to see the dog's reaction. It was definitely worth it. Laughing loudly with delight, Lalage was surprised to feel a slight tinge of heat rise to his cheeks as his wings fluttered behind him. The fae was content, like he hadn't been in so very long.
"Yes, you did. I just realized how unfair it is for either of us if we hide. You can smell me, and I can find you because of the collar." Thinking up another game on the fly, so to speak, Lalage managed to wriggle out of the tree. "Tag!" Yelled out Lalage as he tapped the dog lightly on the shoulder. Taking off at a run he leaped over a series of fallen trees with ease. |
Ikori had shrugged at Lalage's words. To him, all the fun was in the running. The chase, even if he already knew where the hiding spot was. When Lalage tapped him on the shoulder and yelled 'Tag', Ikori's smile widened a bit. That was a true game of chase. For a moment he thought of changing, he could run a bit faster in his true form, but Lalage did like this form better. It only took him a second to decide to remain as he was. He stood and bolted after his master, running as fast as he could to try and catch his faery. He would have been barking happily if in his true form, as it was, it would probably be weird for him to start barking like this. He leaped over the same fallen trees that Lalage went over, well. Ikori more like, vaulted over them. One hand on the trunk to help support his weight and guide his momentum to carry him over it. Still he followed behind Lalage, gaining on him. He briefly wondered if his master would run faster or let himself be caught.
|
Catching sight of the dog from the corner of his eye, Lalage grinned as he began to lope across the forest floor. Feet flying against the dirt he reveled in the smell of the forest as the chase continued. This time he didn't want to be caught so easily. Besides, this was a much fairer game for the both of them, which made it all the more amusing. To run, to feel, it made the fae's heart beat fast as his amethyst hair streamed behind him, or part of it anyway. "You can do better then this Ikori!" The words flew from his mouth as he dodged behind a tree and jumped over a raised root in the hopes of leaving the dog behind.
|
Ikori ran faster, well as fast as he could on human legs. Which was still faster than a normal human but only a little slower than a dog. This game was fairer and much more fun, as it involved more running. Lalage's words made Ikori push himself to run faster, he never lost sight of the faery for more than a few seconds. He bounded over the raised root and kept going. He gained a bit more ground, but still he wasn't very close to catching his master. That didn't matter. Ikori wasn't ready to catch him yet anyway.
|
Vaulting up from a rock, the fae flew for a few brief moments then landed. It wouldn't be fair if he flew. Even so, he'd gone clean across a small stream that might just give Ikori some trouble. Lalage glanced up at the trees with a slight frown on his elegant features. It wouldn't really be cheating to fly up and watch from above, would it? More of a break then anything else. Deciding upon the action, he let his purple blue wings carry him up to a sturdy branch. Sitting down quickly the fae hid behind the foliage to await Ikori's arrival.
|
Ikori made it to the small stream, and leaped right across it. Well, mostly across it. He nearly made it all the way to the other side, so only his feet got a little wet and his pants as the water splashed up some. He stepped out of the stream, brow furrowing a bit as he sniffed the air. Lalage's scent wasn't gone, but it didn't continue forward anymore. Well it kind of did and it kind of didn't. He shook his head and looked around, where had his master gone? Ikori was confident he could find the faery, it just might take a few minutes. He tilted his head back slightly and sniffed the air, Lalage was above him, somewhere. Flying or in a tree? Ikori was sure. He tilted back and blue eyes scanned the branches above him for a glimpse of Lalage.
