SPOILERX

Name: Cato
Age: Try and guess
Gender: Male
Race: Demon
Personality: Playful, sullen, mysterious, mischievous
Appearance: http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...Anime/Wing.jpg

The demon walked quietly down the streets with his hands swinging casually as he moved. Fresh air tickled his nose as Cato grinned lightly to himself. All that needed to be done was to catch up another contract for the night, and then it was back to his large mansion with all it's collections of strange and bizarre things.

Though there was just one teensy little problem. No other person lived in the cavernous home, which was beginning to annoy the pale skinned man. Perhaps he could bind himself a companion on his way back. Someone pretty, and hopefully innocent whose reactions would be just as entertaining as her company. Even if that wasn't the case it would be better then having no one at all.

SpiritTaker 03-15-2012 03:27 PM

Pandora let out a small sigh, closing the shop up for the night. Her boss left earlier and wanted her to make sure everything was in order and lock up the shop before she left. She turned on her heels, tucking the shop key in her pocket before heading on her way home. Sad thing, too. Her car was in the shop for a few days since the motor wouldn't start, so she had to walk to and from work.

Her bright blue eyes skimmed the streets and the area around her as she walked, the gems that she wore sparkling for a brief moment as she walked under street lights. Against the dark night, she sure did stick out like a sore thumb. It was one reason why she didn't like being alone at night, especially when she was the type to scare easily.

PapillonCameo 03-15-2012 03:43 PM

Tugging a strand of yellow and black hair, Cato moved forward and was about to give up on his search until a flash of blue caught his eyes. The sound of gravel crunching beneath his feet halted suddenly as he moved with the shadows to take a closer look. Seeing the white haired woman had him grinning. Oh yes, she would do perfectly!

Moving with the grace of a cat he sneaked forward to wrap both arms around her, one upon her mouth and the other around her waist, to drag her into the shadows and the gateway to his home. It was surprisingly homey, or so it appeared upon first sight. The reading room was in all probability the only place that didn't emanate strangeness, though the books certainly added a certain dusty effect.

After releasing the woman, Cato plopped down with his legs over the arms of a huge leather chair. Its size dwarfed him making the demon look strangely small and intimidating at the same time. "Let's make a contract, tell me what you want." He didn't even bother telling her what he was, since it was obvious. Changing his mind suddenly, as was his habit, Cato vaulted up from his chair and moved forward to grip the woman's chin.

"No that would be too easy." Leaning forward to kiss her eyes after murmuring soft words in a hissing language to himself he placed his curse upon her. "See the dead until you can learn to love a shadowy heart, that's your curse." There, done and finished with a chance for him to find love woven intricately into the mix. Cato was rather proud of himself for having come up with such an interesting curse, for himself of course.

SpiritTaker 03-15-2012 04:59 PM

When Pandora felt arms wrap around her, her eyes went wide with fear. Before she knew it, she was dragged into the shadows, suddenly in a room filled with books. When she was released, she let out a gasp and fell to her knees, her heart feeling as if it would burst out of her chest from how fast it was beating.

She looked up slightly at the demon when he spoke, a confused look on her face. She didn't have anything she wanted. Well...now that she was in this strange place, she wanted to be at home. But she knew she couldn't get back on her own. She didn't utter a word as she stared at him.

She was taken by surprise when the male suddenly got up and moved over towards her, gripping her chin. She wanted to move away, but she found herself frozen with fear. A chill ran down her spine when he kissed her eyes, goosebumps rushing over her skin for a brief moment.

Her thoughts were scattered all across her mind. She wasn't sure of what to do. She jut sat there, eyes now wide. She eventually started to move, but only to hug her knees to her chest and bury her face in her knees as she trembled. A curse to see the dead, huh? But it just kept getting worse. She had to learn to love a shadowy heart, and she knew that he was talking about himself.

How could she, a human, learn to love a demon? It seemed as if it was impossible. It was true that she didn't have anyone special in her life to love, but to have a curse on her until she feels love for the demon that placed such a curse upon her? Her thoughts were running wild, causing her to shake even more and more. Tears even started to drip from her eyes, making the facial paint under her eyes to get messed up. She didn't move from her position, hoping that this was all just a dream.

PapillonCameo 03-15-2012 10:32 PM

One sliver of guilt found it's way into the demon's heart upon seeing the tears. That was all he let himself feel about the predicament he'd put her in. Cato was far too lonely to care about anyone but himself.

Crouching down before her gracefully he tilted his head to the side. "Come on speak up it's not like I'm actually going to hurt you. " Grumbling silently to himself Cato plucked a handkerchief from the air to drop it onto the woman's knees. "At least tell me your name. I'm Cato." Batting long eyelashes, the demon did his best to look either very comical, or seductive.

"If you don't tell me that, at least tell me what kind of room you want." Fingering the tattoo beneath one of his golden eyes, Cato looked at the woman with a smile. He wanted to make sure she was comfortable, despite the fact that he'd cursed her with something that was anything but. Selfish as he was, Cato just wanted someone to be with him. It didn't seem like too much to ask, not to his mind.

Pandora Night 03-16-2012 02:35 AM

[[if this post turns out short, I'm sorry. XD I'm having a rough time thinking of what to post... >w<;;]]

Pandora lifted her head slightly, staring up at Cato when he crouched down by her. Not going to hurt her? Ha! He had already inflicted pain on her by cursing her. A curse isn't fun to have, especially when she was the type who would freak out over the sight of one of her friends dressed as some sort of monster for Halloween. She would lose her mind in no time... or so she thinks.

A couple more tears ran down her cheeks when the handkerchief landed on her knees. She looked down at it for a moment before taking it, dabbing away the tears that started to blur her vision. It was obvious that she was trying her best to calm down, her trembling slowly coming to a stop.

She looked back at the demon when he said he wanted to know her name, telling his name to her as well. She opened her mouth slightly to speak, but she couldn't seem to get her voice past her throat. A slight frown formed at her lips when she couldn't even get her name out. It seemed like fear was trapping her voice within her.

She barely caught the last thing he said, but caught just enough to figure out the rest of what he had said. A room, huh? Well at least he asked her instead of just putting her into a room that she might not like. She stared at him, noticing that he was smiling. She thought he had a nice smile, despite the fact of how he looked and that he was a demon.

She shook her head slightly, a sigh escaping past her lips. She shouldn't be thinking that a demon could actually be nice, even if it was just because of a smile. There's no way that a demon could be nice. There's also no way that a demon and a human could possibly fall in love!

There she goes again... Getting lost in thought as she stared at him. She eventually snapped back to reality, remembering that he wanted to know her name. She cleared her throat, hoping that her voice wouldn't crack. She hated when that happened.

She took in a breath, letting it out a moment later. Once again, she opened her mouth to speak. "My name is Pandora," she said, her voice clear. A wave of relief washed over her when her voice didn't crack. She stayed silent after that, waiting for a response.

[[woah! That turned out longer than I thought. X3 and to think I typed all of this on my iPod... /w\]]

PapillonCameo 03-17-2012 11:54 PM

"You still haven't told me what you want in your room Pandora." What a pretty name. Tied into ancient legends that boded well, or so the demon thought. Cato mused over it for a moment before reaching out and grabbing one of the woman's arms. Tugging her up with him as he stood, the amber eyed Cato spent a few more moments thinking before making a decision.

Setting off at a brisk walk with Pandora, Cato left the library to walk into a series of hallways and trough many other rooms with strange, wonderful, things in each one. "If you don't choose now I'll make you sleep in my room." It was a threat for now, but he hoped that sometime soon such a thing would be wanted. That would take time with a good deal of persuasion thrown in.

The dark haired man was willing to wait. He had centuries to wait. There were ways of making her live longer too. Already Cato was running trough the possibilities. Potions, amulets, spells, oh so many options! Some more painful then the others of course.

Pandora Night 03-18-2012 12:23 AM

Pandora had a slightly saddened look on her face. She wasn't going to be able to get home any time soon, that was for sure. "S-sorry..." she said. A soft, very faint gasp escaped past her lips when she was pulled to her feet. When Cato started to pull her along as he walked, she almost lost her footing. She caught her balance soon, though.

While being led through many halls and rooms, she was looking around the whole time, taking in the sights. Everything seemed so... Different. At least it was more different than the stuff she was used to. It amazed her. It even showed in her eyes.

When she heard what Cato had said about sleeping in his room if she didn't choose one for herself, a bright red blush covered her cheeks. "I... I scare easily..." she said, looking away, "I wouldn't be able to fall asleep if I see the dead..." She kept her head turned away, the blush on her face showing no signs of going away soon since the thought of sleeping in the same room with a man stuck in her mind like superglue.

PapillonCameo 03-19-2012 03:07 PM

Chuckling lightly the demon decided that she would indeed be sleeping in his room. Having his guest running at any frightening sound didn't sound like a pleasing thought to him. It would just lead to her getting hurt, which would mean his company would be no more.

Soon enough they arrived at a large black door which opened with a menacing creaking sound. Stepping inside the room one could see that all the rich draperies, the large bed and the soft looking sofa beneath one of three windows bringing a surprising light into the room. The wood floors were blanketed by soft carpets that Cato's feet sank into as he stepped inside.

"In that case, you'll share this room with me." Releasing Pandora, he smiled and waved at the room. "I'll even let you change some things around if you don't like the decoration." It didn't matter to him. Though perhaps it would be good to mention that a few different people had died in the place. In fact one might be hard pressed to find a room in his home that no people had died in. The manor had been waged war in, thieves had attempted to steal things, and past demon owners had done who knows what within the stone walls.

Moving to plop down onto the bed with a sigh he closed his amber eyes. Much like a starfish, his legs and arms were splayed out haphazardly as he rested. It was time to relax a little, it had been a long day. He doubted that Pandora would be able to sleep right away, but that didn't mean he couldn't.

Pandora Night 03-19-2012 04:37 PM

Pandora blinked a few times, flinching at the sound of the doors creaking. She looked at what she could see from being outside of the room, yet got a full view once she was tugged inside and released. She rubbed her arm where Cato had his grip, looking around even more.

She nodded at what he said, then looked at him, breaking her gaze from all the things in the room. "I think it looks fine," she said as she watched him plop down on the bed. She furrowed her brow slightly, then started to walk around. Her shoes were starting to hurt her feet, so she crouched down and took them off. She was surprised at how soft the carpets were when she walked on them with her bare feet. The carpet at her house wasn't as soft as this.

She looked over at Cato, who seemed to be asleep. The sight of him sleeping reminded her that she was tired when she was going home, yet all of the previous events had woken her up slightly. Even so, she needed to rest. She went over to the couch and sat down, only to lie down on her side and pull her feet up so she was completely on the couch. She let out a small sigh, closing her eyes as she tried to get to sleep.

Yet there were some complications. Every time she closed her eyes, she saw death. No, not the grim reaper... just dead people. It seemed like the curse was finally starting to take its toll on her. Her eyes shot open, her heart rate increasing. She couldn't even fall asleep because of the curse. She let out a huff, burying her face into a couch pillow with a small groan.

PapillonCameo 03-21-2012 07:26 PM

The sound of a groan made the demon's eyes flare open with annoyance. That was until he remembered the curse he'd set upon the young woman. Of course it would make it difficult for her to sleep. He doubted she'd accept any aid he might give her though, considering he was the reason why she was plagued with such a thing in the first place.

Shifting until he sat upon the lush velvet blankets, he let out a sigh. With a roll of his eyes Cato moved to gather up Pandora in his arms to place her upon his bed. Laying beside her carefully he smoothed a careful hand trough her hair. He wasn't bad per say, this demon, just selfish and a little strange.

Was craving the company of another so bad? Watching humans fall in love had tainted his heart, making him want so much more then what the others of his kind wanted. "Is it so bad that I'm selfish enough to want love?" Murmuring such thoughts aloud felt right somehow as he settled against the soft pillows upon his bed.

Pandora Night 03-22-2012 02:55 AM

Pandora was caught off guard when Cato picked her up. She didn't say a word, only blinking a couple times. Of course... She was too tired to do anything. She pretty much just allowed her body to relax and lay limp, even as she was being put down on the soft velvet blankets. Her eyes were closed before she made contact with the soft material, unable to keep them fully open any longer.

When Cato had ran a hand through her hair, she flinched ever so slightly. An action like that had reminded her of her mother and how she always stroked her hair to calm her down enough to sleep when she was much younger. She snapped out of her memories when she heard Cato murmur about love. She opened her eyes slightly, looking at him.

"Well..." she said, "It's selfish that you would force someone to love you. You can't just do that, y'know. It takes time for a couple to fall in love, after all...." She fell silent after that, curling up slightly. This caused her legs to touch his, though, along with her head closer to his chest.

PapillonCameo 03-22-2012 07:54 PM

The flinch didn't make him feel guilty. That emotion was so very alien to him that it didn't even cross Cato's mind. He was a demon after all, though he chose to appear human. His demonic traits would have just frightened off this young woman he'd chosen for his company.

Her words had snapped him from his reverie fast enough. "Being what I am, I doubt taking the usual route would work. So I've opted for the unusual." Why was he explaining himself to her? Ah yes, so she wouldn't try to run. Hurting Pandora wasn't a pleasant thought, because then what company she offered would disappear. For Cato knew himself well enough that her escape would bring up his terrible anger.

That was after all what had happened to the last person whom he'd tried this with. So this time he was being careful, and trying to appear far kinder the he truly was.

Pandora Night 03-24-2012 02:44 AM

Pandora listened to his words, running them through her mind several times. She was curious, and that strong curiosity was clawing inside of her. She went over several questions in her head, decided on a simple one to start with. "So..." she said, "Why do you want someone to love you so badly?" She shifted again, this time so she could look at him right in the eyes.
[[sorry for the shortness... >3<]]

PapillonCameo 03-24-2012 02:48 AM

Looking into her blue eyes, Cato grinned flirtatiously. "Because I'm lonely, though it may not seem that way. The majority of demonkind are too self absorbed with their political maneuverings and destruction wreaking to feel anything like love. So I capture mortals to try and find one who can love me. So far, no luck. I hope for your sake that things go differently." Pulling the blankets over himself suddenly, the bi-color haired demon twisted around to turn his back to the woman.

The lights in his room flickered out, flames blown into nonexistence by an invisible wind as the master of the manor slipped easily into slumber with another beside him.

((It's fine. XD)

Pandora Night 03-24-2012 03:00 AM

Pandora blinked, his words flooding his mind. Before she knew it, the lights went out. She couldn't see a thing, her eyes unable to adjust due to there being no light. She sighed silently, eventually closing her eyes. She didn't care about turning her back to his. She just lied there, her thoughts keeping her awake. She actually felt sorry for the demon, but only because he's had no success in finding love. He even hoped that things would be different with her. She smiled slightly, falling asleep after deciding that she'd give it a shot.
[[This outta be fun... >3>]]

PapillonCameo 03-29-2012 02:50 PM

Cato mumbled silently to himself as dreams turned into nightmares within his sleeping mind. Unconsciously he curled around the young woman seeking comfort and warmth from her presence. With a small sigh and a twitch of a smile, the dark haired man fell into a more comfortable sleep. It was only later when he awoke that he realized what he'd done.

Shaking his head at himself, Cato sat up to look down at the white haired woman. He wondered for a brief moment what she liked eating. Flipping off the bed, he went to murmur a few words to a shadow servant and had them bring an egg and bacon breakfast. Setting it upon the bedside table, Cato settled down to wait.

Pandora Night 03-29-2012 03:16 PM

Pandora's dreams, or more like nightmares, had given her trouble in trying to sleep. She woke up several times from the things she saw, her heart racing. She was about to close her eyes and try to go back to sleep when Cato curled around her while he was asleep. She blinked a couple times, chuckling softly to herself before snuggling up against him. She fell back asleep, but it took a while. The nightmares continued, but they weren't as violent and gory as the others were.

After a while, the smell of eggs and bacon filled her head. Her eyes slowly opened, the room a bit blurry until she blinked a couple times to clear her vision. She stretched slightly and yawned before sitting up, scratching the side of her head. "What time is it?" she asked, looked at Cato. She had a bit of a tired expression on her face since she had just woken up, but it would go away after she started to wake up fully.

PapillonCameo 03-29-2012 04:51 PM

Laughing a little, the yellow eyed man nudged the place closer to the young woman. "Still morning, after the dawn. Ten I think?" There was so much to do. Havoc to wreak, people to frighten... And yet he didn't want to leave because there was hope now like there was every time he brought someone to his home. It wasn't always like this of course. Sometimes they were too frightened to even give Cato a chance.

Pandora Night 03-29-2012 05:39 PM

Pandora looked down at the plate, her stomach grumbling slightly. She smiled sheepishly, a soft blush rising to her cheeks. "I see," she said, "It doesn't seem like it's ten. Maybe because I'm just tired..." She took a piece of bacon and nibbled on it.

PapillonCameo 03-29-2012 06:34 PM

Shrugging, Cato leaned against the back of his chair to give her a wink. "Well you had a tiring night. It's not everyday one get's captured by a demon." Raising an eyebrow, he stood to stretch and moved to his wardrobe with a frown. Concentrating the dark haired, with yellow streaks, man tried to decide what type of clothing he wanted to wear and what might fit his guest well. In the end he chose to make dresses appear for her, and the courtly garb of a knight appear for him.

Flinging the doors open, he grinned and slipped out his favorite tunic along with a pair of jeans. He did like to wear the sturdy material better then the tights that had once gone with the upper garment. Glancing at Pandora, he waved a hand to the closet invitingly.

Pandora Night 03-29-2012 07:30 PM

"That is so very true," Pandora said, starting to eat the eggs. She was hungrier than she realized, the plate soon empty. She took the napkin(that magically appeared. o.O lol) and wiped her hands on it to get the grease from the bacon off, then wiped her mouth. When she looked up, she noticed Cato waving his hand to the closet, as if to tell her to pick out something to wear.

She pushed the plate aside and slowly stood up. She walked over to the closet and looked at the various dresses that were in it, carefully looking each over. She finally decided on a simple white dress that tied around the neck instead of having sleeves. She looked at Cato as if she was saying that she wasn't going to change with him in the room.

PapillonCameo 03-30-2012 09:59 PM

Chuckling wryly, the demon bowed his head slightly in acknowledgement. Moving easily passed the young woman he opened a door on the other side of the closet to step into his bathroom. It was a rather large affair with warm brown walls and cream colored tiles with a jacuzzi tub tucked away in the corner. Locking the door behind him Cato slipped out of his clothing and settled into the bubble covered warm water that had appeared very quickly in the bath. For now he just wanted to soak there. Later he'd worry about the fact that he'd left his guest alone to wander trough the manor without his guidance.

If Pandora got into trouble it was her fault for poking around.

Pandora Night 03-30-2012 11:09 PM

After Cato had gone into the bathroom, Pandora started to take off her clothes. She pulled the zipper down on the back of the dress, slipping it on and managing to zip it back up. She sat down on the bed with a sigh, wondering what she could do. She ran her hands through her hair, a few tangles stopping the movement of her hand. She needed a hairbrush... badly. She stood up and stretched, walking around the room so her legs wouldn't fall asleep. While she did so, she looked at the different decor. Every so often she would see the dead people, their appearances worsening each time. She eventually sat down in the middle of the room, hugging her knees to her chest. She hid her face against her knees, rocking back and forth slightly.
