Dark Cloud

I wonder who has this ancient game, I used to love playing it and rebuilding all the villages, that was my favourite thing to do. Another good aspect of it was going into the dungeons and gathering all the pieces of villages. Anyone who doesn't know what this game is, I'll give you a hand. :)

Here's a review of it.

I used to have Dark Cloud, and number two. They were a real blast to play. Really, I ought to get them again when I can... Oh, I also have Rogue Galaxy. It's not in the same series/style, but it's by the same company, and shares a lot of elements, so I consider it something of a "spiritual successor".

I have number two aswell, called Dark Chronicle I believe. I also still have Rogue Galaxy actually, it's a shame I never got to finish it, my PS2 packed up at the time. :P I think the first was the better one of the two though, the second seemed more animated if you get what I mean.

I thought the gameplay of the second was ... well, adequate. Pretty good. The story was pretty contrived, though. Grant you that the first one was a bit silly too, but at least it was straightforward for the most part. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I preferred the first one as well.

It's been so long since I've played any games like that, I wish the people that made Dark Cloud would make another similar game, I'd certainly buy it.

I only played Dark Chronicle, and I never finished it, but I did enjoy it while I was playing.

I enjoyed that game aswell, but I don't think I ever finished it either.

I've played it. Though I got stuck at some point. Been a while. It be fun to play it again.

It'd be fun to play it again for me aswell. :)

I played it but never actually finished the game. It was a constant battle to make powerful and durable weapons and being watchful enough to be careful you don't break them or the building process starts all over again. :(

It was a very fun game, I think I got the part where you get the Jeannie girl? I cannot remember their names. It was a challenging game.

I have this game still. It was fun but I never finished. I got a bit tired of the constant dungeon crawling, it become a bit repetitive after a while. I did want to finish it though, maybe one day I will.

I keep saying that myself lol, maybe I will once I'm in retirement lol

There are far too many games I do that with, even if I like them. ><

Especially a long RPG, near the end I seem to get distracted.

I have so many RPG that I play as well and near the end for me the same thing happens and I don't finish them. I am replaying Star Ocean Second Story for the PSP now which has some pretty awesome Anime cut scenes. I wish they would make that game a cartoon movie or something. (DVD)

I believe my brother still has that game. We use to share our games so if one of us got a game the other wouldn't bother buying the same one. But now I've moved out so I guess I'll have to get my own copy of some of the games he ended up keeping.

I really enjoyed it at first but the dungeon crawling got to me as well. All the dungeons were pretty similar looking weren't they? Stuff like that gets to me after awhile. I remember being really frustrated at one point of the game and quitting. I did go back and play it but I didn't get much further.

I really wonder if the second Dark Cloud is worth having?
