Jay chuckled when he heard the other. Science? Magic. They were one in the same back in his realm. He then smiled a little bit as he saw the other ramble trying to find a rational answer to what he just asked. "Fake," said Jay as he fixed Vanyel with a look of small disdain. "Have you never asked yourself if magic was in the world? Could you never explain something by modern science?" He leaned back a little as he let out a sigh. There was no getting through to the other, at least not right now there wasn't. He would need to show the other that there was magic in the world, and that he was a being that could control it. If he was to take Vanyel back to his world then the other would need to be not only incultured in family formality, but also to not be in awe of everything that he saw when he went there.

He laughed a little harder when he heard the other ask him if he wanted the other to tell him a bedtime story. "No," he said with a chuckle. " However, if you want to feel free." The more and more that he was spending with the other the more and more he wanted to make the other his all the faster.

Kisu 03-27-2012 06:19 PM

Vanyel grew more puzzled when he finally raised his eyes to peer at Jay. The male was looking at him strangely, though it wasn't a positive look, more like a scolding look. Like Vanyel had misbehaved. He fiddled with his fingers, and averted his gaze again. "O-of course there are unexplainable things...but...that's not magic. Humans just haven't learned everything about the world yet, is all...Y-you don't believe in magic, do you?"

Vanyel waited patiently for his answer, then looked around. A fairy tale. He hadn't heard them since he was very very young, but it couldn't be too hard. He started off with the typical words. "Uhm, okay...once upon a time..." He continued slowly, weaving a tale. Ironically, the main hero of his story was a fairy rescuing a maiden from orcs to take her home and be his bride.

0ri0n83 03-27-2012 11:04 PM

Jay looked at the other. How was Vanyel talking about things like rationality with things like magic? It was just so confounding. When the other began his story he found himself smiling though, his anger and confusion about magic completely forgotten. After the other was done spinning his tale about a maiden, a bunch of orcs, and a fairy he spoke as he said,"Of course I believe in magic." The question now was how was he going to get the other to believe in it as well? He wasn't even sure that he had enough energy to perform magic, but he needed to think of something fast to make the other believe.

Glancing over at the water that was still in the pitcher he concentrated on it as it came floating out of the pitcher. He created a small ball of water with his hands. Cupping his hands together there was a bright blue light in his hands. He let his eyes slide closed as he concentrated. The light died down and then he opened his hands. In his hand he held the bud of a rose made from ice. "Here," he said as he offered the rose over to the other.

Kisu 03-27-2012 11:13 PM

Vanyel finished his story fairly quickly, rather proud of himself. It hadn't been too bad. He was brought from his thoughts as Jay spoke again, confirming his belief in magic. The blond looked rather confused, and he shook his head with a soft sigh. He didn't, but if this strange boy wanted to, well, it wasn't Vanyel's place to prove him wrong.

He opened his mouth to say so, but closed his mouth with a frown when he saw what Jay was doing. He was staring at the jug strangely. "D-do you want more water?" He asked, though a moment later, it was clear what Jay was doing. Without anything to hold it, the water was being lifted from the jug, and eventually Jay held it in his hands, a soft light shining. Then the male cupped them together, and reopened them, holding something out to Vanyel. Still stunned, the short boy reached out, accepting the item. He stared at it for a few long minutes, then finally looked back to Jay. He opened his mouth, then snapped it shut, and looked back to the item.

Without another word, Vanyel stood and left the room, the door closing with a tiny click. He went to his own room, shutting the door. He moved to his desk, setting the ice rosebud in the middle of it. He sat down, laying his head on the desk and staring at it. Unable to understand, he began inspecting the item, turning it every which way, even breathing on it to see if it would melt.

None of it was possible, that was sure. It was some illusion Jay was doing, trying to fool Vanyel, though he wasn't sure why. He had hidden the item somewhere, and it was simply pressed glass or something. Vanyel would find it out though.[COLOR="Silver"]

0ri0n83 03-28-2012 12:17 AM

Jay watched as the other male took the rose from his hand. He broke out into a smile when he saw the other's look of awe and amazement. He then saw the other's face twist into that of amazement yes, but also of terror. He was about to explain himself and apologize for making the other afraid when Vanyel stood up and left the room without another word. As he saw the other's retreating form he called out,"Wait Vanyel! I'm sorry!" He was pretty sure though that the other hadn't heard him. Kicking off his blankets he put his feet onto the cool wooden floor and winced a little bit. His leg was most likely broken, but it had been splinted for the time being. It was rather crude for a wrap, but it would suffice for now. Putting more weight on his foot he managed to hobble his way out of the room and into the hallway. "Vanyel!" he called out again not really knowing where the other's room was.

Kisu 03-28-2012 12:56 AM

Various faces peeked out of doorways, staring at the moving boy. A plump short female rushed forward, trying to urge him back into the room.

Vanyel frowned, his head jerking up. Jay was yelling for him, and he actually sounded much closer than he should. The blond stood, and rushed from the room, glaring down the hallway. Sure enough, Jay was up and moving, despite his leg probably being broken. "What are you doing?" He snapped, trying to help his mother coax Jay back into the bedroom. "Jay, get back in the bed. What's wrong with you?"

0ri0n83 03-28-2012 01:11 AM

Jay continued to move down the hallway looking for the other male. As he called out for the other the various doors of the hallway opened. A rather plump looking woman came rushing towards him telling him to go back to to his room and get back to bed. He pushed passed her, not wanting to hurt her, but the other was hindering him from getting to his goal. That goal being seeing Vanyel again. He then saw Vanyel coming out of another one of the rooms. The other male began coming towards him as well, and he relented as he felt himself being pushed into the room where he had previously been in. He heard what the other said and managed to sputter out,"I'm sorry, I just wanted to see you, and explain to you. I am sorry that I scared you." He got ushered across the room and he ended up sitting back in his bed under the covers again. He was never one to sit around, especially since he had a limited amount of time to be here in the mortal realm.

Kisu 03-28-2012 01:15 AM

Vanyel assured his mother everything was fine, that he would care for their guest, before finally turning back to the bed. He huffed, and crossed his arms over his chest. "Explain what? There's nothing to explain. Well, actually...you could start by telling me why you want to trick me into believing all this magic stuff?"

He continued, flopping down into the same chair from earlier. "You're really weird." He finally admitted with a sigh. "You said earlier you were here for me, but that doesn't make any sense. And I really can't figure out where you were hiding the glass rose..."

0ri0n83 03-28-2012 01:33 AM

Jay watched as Vanyel came huffing and puffing across the room. He eyed the other male as the other ended up sitting across from him in a wooden chair. He wanted him to explain how he was able to perform magic. It wasn't some kind of illusion. He was born knowing how to use magic, they all were, even humans. Fey on the other hand were able to access that part of their brain a little more than the other races of the universe. After the other was done talking he eyed the other male as he let out another sigh. "Yes," replied Jay as he glanced at the other. "I have come here for you. Or at least I think I am. I am looking for-," he paused. Should he tell the other that he was looking for his mate, his life partner? Wouldn't that just spook the other more and more away from him? He had to chance it though. "I am looking for my life mate. I don't know if it is you though, but when I saw you I felt an immediate attraction to you." He paused letting it all sink in for the other male. "Also the magic thing it wasn't an illusion." He eyed the room to see if there was anything else that he could show the other. His magical specialty was in natural things. Water, air, trees, flowers, and the other things of nature. His brother on the other hand had the power of shadows and he was the one that made illusions.

Kisu 03-28-2012 01:49 AM

Vanyel couldn't even think of anything to say to the new information. He groaned and shook his head, running his hand down his face. "L-look...a lot of guys get confused around me. They tell me I'm too cute to be a boy. It's just a confusion thing. I don't even like other boys!" He stated stubbornly.

"Of course it was. I'm sorry...i-if you want to believe in magic, I'm not going to burst your bubble, but why does it matter so much if I believe you or not?" He stood, shaking his head again. "Just tell me where you are staying so I can let whoever is there know what happened to you, alright?"

0ri0n83 03-28-2012 11:03 PM

Jay listened to what the other said agreeing with everything that the other had said. Vanyel was cute, adorable even. Handsome too. He chuckled a little bit as he heard the last part though about the other not liking boys. He didn't know what the tone was, but he wondered if the other was trying to convince Jay or even himself more. He narrowed his eyes a little bit though when he heard the other say that what he had just done a few moments ago was just an illusion. He shook his head in frustration. There was no getting through to the other was there. He was getting frustrated, very frustrated. Standing up from the bed he pointed at the other male as he said,"Accept it. I don't want you to accept anything. I believe in magic because I can control magic. Everybody can from where I am from. You could too with practice. It's-It's important to me for you to understand this because if you are going to go with me tom my realm then you are going to have to understand a bit about me!" With that being said he sat down on the bed again a little dizzy from the yelling. He knew that yelling wasn't really going to get him anywhere, but he didn't know what else to do.

Kisu 03-29-2012 03:38 AM

Vanyel seemed a bit put off by Jay climbing and standing on the bed, pointing down at him. Rather nervous now, he glanced around, as if looking for someone to help him. When Jay was laying down again, he reached forward, patting the other's hand gently. "O-okay...I believe in magic." He stated, just to mollify the other.

He sat back again, peering at Jay worriedly. Then his expression changed to complete confusion. "Wait...what? Going to your...realm? What realm? Why would I leave my home?"

0ri0n83 03-30-2012 04:03 AM

Jay didn't know if the other was just saying that he believed in magic too patronize him, or just to shut him up. He believed that it was probably the later, or maybe it was both. Either way Jay knew that the other was putting on a show for him. "Whatever," he thought as he listened to the other become possibly interested in his country. "Yes my realm," replied Jay as he turned his head to look at the other. "The realm of the fey. It's where I was before I came crashing down to your realm, or in this case your planet." He would let this part sink in before he continued by telling him that he was the chosen one to be his mate, and that was the reason that he was going to come to his realm, willing or not. Though he hoped that the other would come willingly since it would be rather awkward if it wasn't.

Kisu 03-30-2012 04:18 AM

"Realm of the fey?" Vanyel stared openly, his mouth slightly agape. He stood slowly, as if Jay was a frightened animal and he didn't want to frighten the male. He leaned over, patting Jay's shoulder gently, "Don't move, alright...I'll be right back...right back..."

He inched out of the room quickly. This was just too much. This boy wasn't just hurt...he was insane! He didn't worry about closing the door as he stopped his mother in the hallway, keeping his voice low. "Ma...I think we have a bit of a problem...I...I can't get him to tell me where he is staying, or where he's from, or why he's here. Plus, he keeps talking about magic...Maybe you should call up the nearest institutions?"

There was a bit more, the female utterly confused. She protested and stated there wasn't one nearby, but agreed to ask around about the strange boy. True to his word, Vanyel turned around and started back to the room. He hesitated in the doorway, a tiny voice speaking up inside of his head. It's like you fell out of the sky! He'd said earlier, when he'd first met Jay. He shook his head and moved fully into the room, sitting down again. Magic wasn't real, this boy was from Earth. He just had to be crazy.

0ri0n83 03-30-2012 04:41 AM

He had done it again! Darn it all he had gone and done it again! Jay cursed when he saw the other male leave the room as if he moved too quickly he would come jumping out of the bed grabbing at him. Once the other male was out of the room he strained with his hearing, which wasn't all that hard since he had rather sensitive hearing, to listen in on the other's conversation. An institution? What was that? Sure he had institutions in his country, but they were for learning and for teaching. Vanyel made it sound like he was insane, that they were going to put him somewhere where he wouldn't see the light of day again. He was beginning to panic a little bit. Not only was he failing himself for getting the other male to believe him, but pretty soon if it didn't work out he would be failing his entire nation as well. He knew that it was only a matter of time before his brother would come to Earth as well, claiming the other male for himself in a rather cruel manner. Something that he wouldn't personally allow.

When the other male came into the room again and crossed the room coming to sit at the chair that he had just been in he eyed the other. "I'm not crazy!" spat Jay as he glared at the other. "You just need to be a little more open-minded!" He let out a curse as he tried to think of something else to say. "Look how can I prove to you that magic exists and that I am not crazy?"

Kisu 03-30-2012 04:48 AM

Vanyel could feel his face burn as it became clear Jay had heard him. "I...you...well, that is...I..." He stuttered, trying to find the right words. Eventually he just looked away and shrugged.

"I...look, magic just isn't real. I don't really know how you could prove it..." He stopped speaking and turned to the doorway as a knock resounded through the room. "Yes?" The town doctor poked his head inside, smiling at the form on the bed.

"So this will be my newest patient, eh?" The chunky male questioned. Vanyel nodded, and stood, moving the chair out of the male's way. The man moved to the bed, peering down at Jay kindly. "So...took a fall in the forest and hurt your ankle, did you? Let's have a look...Can you move any of your toes?" The male began shifting the blanket, trying to see the boy's foot.

0ri0n83 03-31-2012 01:25 AM

Jay smiled darkly at the other as he heard him fumbling around with his words. It was a rather comical sight indeed. He frowned though when he heard a knocking on the door. Who dare interrupt their conversation. A rather portly looking man poked his head from around the door, as he smiled at the two of them. Jay assumed that he was the doctor that Vanyel had been talking about. He eyed the other male as he came strolling into the room, and he let out a gasp of surprise when he felt the other man begin to poke and prod at his hurt ankle. He wasn't flinching away because it was still hurting, because it had healed, but because the other male's hands were unnaturally cold. He moved his toes as the doctor had instructed him, and he felt 100% better. "Doctor," said Jay flatly as he glanced at the doctor. "I am perfectly healthy and fine right now. I am sorry for troubling you with having to come out here."

Kisu 03-31-2012 02:35 AM

The male looked utterly lost, and continued to examine the foot. "This is the one that was hurt?" He looked at the other two boys, receiving a nod from Vanyel. "It's fine. Possibly just a sprain...uhm, well." He glanced to the faerie. He could have swore Vanyel had said the foot may be broken, but if it was that bad, there was no way he could be completely fine. Still, there was no swelling or bruising, and the boy hadn't flinched. "I'll stop by your father's office and leave the bill then...take care Vanyel."

Vanyel frowned, watching the doctor leave. What a waste of time. He rounded on Jay. "You said you were hurt!"

0ri0n83 03-31-2012 11:47 PM

Jay nodded as he gave the other a smirk. Jay knew that by now his ankle was healed most of the way, if not totally by then. "Yes," he replied as he looked at the other male. The other continued to prod and poke at his foot, and he began to get rather bored with the entire ordeal. Once the doctor was out he lost his smile when Vanyel rounded on him and pinned him with such a heated question. "Well," started Jay as he looked at the other as he tried to figure out what to say. "What? You just assumed that I was hurt from that fall. I heal rather quickly, if you haven't noticed." Jay hadn't really remembered if he really had told the other that he had been hurt. The last few hours had been a blur of movement and emotion.

Kisu 04-01-2012 12:03 AM

Vanyel sunk into the wooden chair with a creak. He buried his face in his hands, and shook his head, groaning. "None of this is freaking possible. This isn't real." He muttered, trying to convince himself. The ice rose. The glowing hands. And even if his foot had just been strained, it would still be sore, and probably swollen. "I just can't figure it out." It was killing him. The male who lived his life with a logical explanation for everything was failing to explain what was happening now.

What if Jay was telling the truth? It seemed far too gone to be possible. But it had seemed like he'd fallen from the sky...

0ri0n83 04-01-2012 05:47 AM

Jay felt bad for the other. He knew that the other probably thought that he was playing some kind of mind game with him. He watched as the other male sank into the chair, and he wanted to comfort the other. However, he didn't know how. He knew that Vanyel probably needed some time for all of this to sink in. Leaning back on the bed he let his eyes slide closed. He was glad that he was making some form of progress with the other male, even though it was only a little.

Kisu 04-01-2012 11:31 PM

Vanyel continued to think, and kept arriving at the same conclusion. Jay was telling him the truth, as hard as it was to believe. Honestly, though, he wasn't sure he could handle everything about the world being turned upside down. He looked back up, ready to say so, but it looked like Jay had fallen asleep.

The human watched for a few minutes. Once he set all the strangeness aside, Jay was actually very handsome. Vanyel's cheeks flushed a bit. Was he...actually attracted to this man? No...no...He wasn't gay. He liked girls! The male stood, still arguing with himself. He left the room quietly, moving to his own. It was getting rather dark, and he figured he'd skip dinner, though he asked his mom to send some food into Jay when he woke up.

0ri0n83 04-02-2012 02:06 AM

Jay was asleep well into the evening, and when he awoke there was a plate steaming plate of food on the nearby table. Getting up he made his way over to the table where he sat down. The food smelled delicious and it made his mouth water. Picking up the fork he began eating slowly wondering where the other male had gone. He glanced out the window as he put some soup into his mouth. It had become rather dark outside, so he assumed that it was nighttime, or at least very late in the evening. Straining his ears he tried to listen to see if there was any sign of life in the house. Either the people were very quiet, or they were all asleep, since he didn't hear anything in the hallway or the house.

After he was done eating he walked quietly out of his room, glad that the floor had carpet on it since it muffled his steps. He made his way down the stairs, making sure that none of them squeaked or made noise. As he made his way onto the second floor he eyed a rather large shelf of books. Walking over to the shelf, the moonlight streaming in through the window. A normal human would be unable to make out the titles, but for Jay's rather sharp eyesight he could see the titles clear as day. Selecting a book from the shelf he held it in his hands as he continued to walk around the quiet house.

Kisu 04-02-2012 02:43 AM

As a matter of fact, though he had hoped to sleep a few hours earlier, Vanyel sat at his desk once again. He fiddled with the ice rose. It had created a small puddle, although somehow the magic Jay had used kept it from melting for the most part. It was still hard to believe that magic was real. He still wasn't quite sure he believed it fully, and had debated demanding more proof. It would seem childish and condescending, though, and so Vanyel refrained. The ice rose was wiggled around in his fingers again, cursing as he dropped it, picking it up quickly, and glancing at the chip the fall had created.

0ri0n83 04-03-2012 02:39 AM

As Kai continued to look around the house he heard the sound of a muffled thud from the ceiling above him. He immediately froze, thinking that he had been spotted, but then after a few moments he began to relax a little bit as he continued to walk around the first floor of the floor. He walked into what he assumed was some form of gathering area. There were two couches, and a T.V. off to one side of the room. He saw the moonlight streaming from the nearby sliding glass door, and he found himself being led to it by some unknown force. Walking to the door he placed his head on the door and let out a sigh. The door's glass was cool to the touch and he found himself relishing the cool feeling of it on his skin. Wanting to be outside he closed his eyes as he concentrated. As he concentrated his body began to glow as he walked forward. He ended up outside on the other side of the door and he was outside. There was a breeze and he found himself tipping his head up as he let it brush against his skin.
