Acceptance Letter!
Woo!
Finally! This feel so great! <3 Mene! I finally got my acceptance letter into the Nursing program! In honor of it, I fashioned my avatar a new little celebratory outfit. :3 So, any other menewshans out there going away to college/university in the fall? How do you feel about it? And for any of those who are in, or were in university... Was it scary? Awesome? Crazy? Lots of work? Any good memories? I just know I'm excited to leave high-school! I wish I were going away for school...but my parents house proved cheaper by far - especially since I don't need to pay rent! |
qq /has a lot of rejection notices.

Wow! Congratulations!! :D
I was in school but had to drop out for various reasons. I met a lot of great people though. :3 |
I'm currently waiting for my transfer acceptance letter. /hopes that's what it is.

Ooh thats cool
im switching schools next year (well most likely) and i can't wait |
I need to go back to school. I almost feel at t his point it's kind of pointless since I can't work and go to school at the same time. I can't cut hours at work either since I need to live off my jobs. Even if I finish one of my degrees the job market just isn't good.

Congrats!
I finished college a year ago or so. It was very freeing and definitely challenging, but I went to school for engineering. I had to repeat a class for the first time ever... and second and third and fourth (not the same class xD). I also met my husband, found out that I really am just one of the guys, gained 30 lbs, discovered my leadership skills, and dabbled in a little bit of everything. I made my closest friends there. I really miss them dearly, but most of us have been scattered across the US. A few of them have concentrated around the town I grew up in, which is a little disappointing since most of them aren't really from there, and now I'm halfway across the country from them. Go figure  I REALLY miss the cost of living there. I went to a residential school, and commuting from my parents' house wasn't an option (as in, you would be charged for living on campus for your first two years, even if you decided not to, so you might as well be there). Once I got off-campus, I paid less than $200 a month in rent for the remainder of my time. I refused to pay more than that--and sometimes that meant we got some REALLY crappy housing--but that's really just not possible where I am now. Now my share is about $500 a month (but being jobless hubby just pays all of it--just under $1000 a month), and that's CHEAP for this area! *sobs* So yeah. I miss the housing. :C |
For me it was just meh. I kind of knew I'd get first choice. I move too often to get excited. >.< Congrats though. Nursing is really fun.

Congratulations! I'm in the nursing program right now, and it's definitely challenging at times, but a lot of fun. :) I hope you like it~~
