I'm not really either - even if guys have long hair and stuff - I like to design more manly clothes for them instead of girly girl stuff XD

Do you think I should do more of a collared v-neck for them or can I get away with it straight across like the girl's shirt?

That's a good idea actually. That way it's easier for new comers to make a decent outfit for the time being.

It is a matter of design, rather subjective...
so it is up to others who think which one look nicer.
It really also depend on you, as a designer. What is your aim of that clothing? meant for which type of users.

After not seeing it for few weeks, surprisingly I do have some new perspective! XD (note:always mention on viewer's direction.)
1. your left skirt, at lower part, where the hem folds are, do not look matching with the busy folds on the right. the shape and of course shading need to be adjust.
2. you could use some more blending on the busy fold shades on the right. Currently, it look pretty sharp.

Socks would definitely be a nice addition and probably more shoes. >w>

oh yes, Maria. and the dress of doom, pay attention to the hem. the curves suggest big flowy fold not the busy one you have.
Go search and compare folded dress. their hem outline is different.
