Somedays I feel like that...and today I really felt like pixelling - glad I did :D
Im getting off for a bit - gonna rest my hand/wrist - it really hurts <3 Talk to you later Cora <3 PS - I'm jealous of your jelly head XD |
Lol, Have a good one Maria.
PS- I was in the right place at the right time with that one xP |
...What fabric is your trench?
I kinda irk at the curve of the flying trench hem... I like that 'dramatic imaginary wind blowing towards you' effect, but that is something like the dress of doom where... folds and curve is a doom. |

like this shirt: http://www.jimmyjazz.com/images/prod...own_shirt3.jpg you don't like the flying...nesss.... of the trench? Would you prefer it to be more like..."man in the rain in trench coat" type thing...like... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...renchcoat.jpeg Do you like the female version of it? |
No, no. Although I prefer gravity, but I see the appeal in flying trench in the wind. Just that, currently, I don't feel the flying trench outline at the bottom looks convincing. It needs 'ironing' on some too rounded parts.
ooo, that is a pretty thin material... is it waterproof? Is the fabric soft or hard? cotton is soft, nylon is hard. Is it light or heavy? Depending on the weight of the trench, the flying degree could be determine in a more believing way. All in all, I felt the curve on viewer left, joining from chest to bottom, the curve is unreal. the hem line could be improved as well. |
@Xuvvie - it's a more weighted fabric but it's....not as heavy as some...
Here is a picture of a trench with popin; http://www.porhomme.com/wp-content/u...t-ss2010-1.jpg I used a couple refs for the trench - one for the top and one for the bottom - can't find the one I used for the bottom or else I'd show it to you D: Hmm...I have a lot of work to do with the trench then... |
the harder and heavier the farbic, the less curve it will produce...
you do also have to consider the width of your curve. Your hem currently make the whole trench looks like when no gravity, it will be folded, not straight/smooth like the one you just posted. As in, imagine wearing an oversize pants, when you use belt to tie them together, wrinkles/folds will form on the waist part. Folds occur due to extra fabric, unlike fitting fabric, it won't create folds. |
Alrighty - I'm gonna look it over more in the morning with a clear head :) :D

I have to say that the shorts are a bit worse-- you shifted the 'middle' line to the wrong side. Sorry. |
Lol, shows how much I know Maria. I thought both looked alright o.0
|
XD
3/4 view. Center of 3/4. |

err no. I meant shift it--
http://i.imgur.com/tskyL.png see the red line? You actually wound up shifting it further opposite the direction I was telling you to shift it to. |

I moved it over once... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...renchCoat3.png Are you talking about that line or are you talking about the boob area because to me, the boob area looks right... ---------- Post added 06-18-2012 at 02:15 PM ---------- Quote:
UGH...stupid shorts.... *goes to work on them more* |
Oh, NOW I see what happened. When you shifted the line to the left, you only shifted it one pixel. Since my mind was expecting a more substantial change, it saw it as being shifted in the opposite direction.
|
Mariaria~ The trench coat, center of tummy, the curve shape... is indicating the shape of fatty tummy... too rounded.
|
@Alex - I was like - he can't have meant to shift it right - that looks ridiculous XD
I tried fixing it more:. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...reShorts17.png ---------- Post added 06-18-2012 at 02:22 PM ---------- Quote:

You know what I mean?
The half round line from the collar/belt downwards. and I cannot see how the coat are overlapping which side. Left on right or right on left? |
Yep Xuvvie - that makes sense!
Okay - took out the line completely since that is what made it look rounder...... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...renchCoat4.png Added it back in to make it look like the avvie's right side is overlapping the avvie's left side. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...renchCoat6.png ---------- Post added 06-18-2012 at 02:29 PM ---------- I decided to just make the overlap more dramatic - extended it and added a button there.... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...renchCoat7.png ---------- Post added 06-18-2012 at 05:47 PM ---------- Changed the female trench to brown since the grey was blending with the avvie's outline... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...renchCoat9.png |
I actually would've flipped the overlap. Make it so it was on our left side instead of the right. I love that jacket...it looks super sexy. lol
|
You would like it better like this?
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...enchCoat10.png and thank you :D I love the idea of a sexy trench for the ladies :D |
Mmmmmmmm...
The original is much better, actually. XD It looked strange to me at first for some reason, but now that I look at it, it doesn't look so strange. Lol. I don't know what I was seeing. How long does it usually take you to pixel an item? |
Quote:
I like the original one better as well to be honest :) |
... I can't really see the difference between left on right or right on left... XD
I am glad that you dramatize the overlapping. That is one good design move!!! if the lining is burgundy... why is that color not incorporated on collar? just asking, as I read the collar as a kind of underside, folded outward. |
